Cette journée-laboratoire est issue du chantier de recherche-création « En Studio » de « Performer Les Savoirs », qui propose d’examiner les liens entre l’émergence du geste créateur et les lieux qui l’accueillent (qu’ils soient concrets ou imaginaires ; chambre, atelier, studio, café, etc). Le studio est le premier lieu (au double sens de “original” et de “fondamental”), où se retrouvent les membres d’une équipe artistique réunie afin d’écrire et créer un spectacle. Lieu d’étude mais aussi lieu de travail, d’entraînement du corps, de recherche, de création artistique et de transmission pédagogique, le studio est en soi un sujet d’étude particulièrement fertile pour le champ des études de spectacle.

L’écologie sonore ne peut se passer d’une réflexion sur l’eau, en particulier du fait des conséquences vécues du changement climatique dont le son s’avère être un témoin privilégié. L’appel à communications est ouvert à des propositions venant de diverses disciplines universitaires (notamment la musicologie, la philosophie, la géographie, la bioacoustique, l’histoire de l’art contemporain) mais aussi d’artistes, de paysagistes, d’audio-naturalistes, de preneurs de son.

L’essai dystopique : formats, discours, valeurs
Cette journée d’études est consacrée à l’essai dystopique comme genre, discours et modalité d’engagement. Abondamment déclinés, les scénarios dystopiques ne sont pas que fiction. Il en résulte une expression modulaire et polymorphe que l’on pourrait qualifier d’essai dystopique. Le registre vraisemblable de la dystopie autorise précisément cette rencontre entre un genre issu des littératures de l’imaginaire et une variété du texte d’idées. On examinera sous cet angle les formats, discours et valeurs de l’essai dystopique dans quelques-unes de ses manifestations textuelles et (audio)visuelles contemporaines.

Technocritique(s). Reflection upon 3.3 million years of human technical externalization
Wherever digital solutions and artificial intelligence (AI) have spread, whatever the creative domain or human activity, the impression of having a total, even universal, all-terrain technology has never been so strong. We cannot ignore that the digital revolution, while apparently offering simplicity and ease-of-use is accompanied by a rather remarkable invisibilization of technology’s infrastructure, leaving its users ignorant to the processes and material elements that encompass even the simplest tools. Homo comfort, as the Italian anthropologist Stefano Boni calls it, lives in a hypertechnological world, in which he is ignorant of most of its systems. How can one understand the least-effort infrastructure in which we live when recontextualized within nearly 3.3 million years of technological externalization ? Were 3.3 million years of experimentation necessary to arrive at this point, or rather, did we need to collectively forget our entire history in order to accept our current situation?

Dans ce séminaire, est observé l’atelier des artistes dans le temps long pour identifier les changements intervenus autour d’une organisation, d’abord indexée aux notions de bourgeoisie et d’urbanisme puis de nomadisme et de précarité. Avec l’instrument de la sociologie des organisations, l’atelier des artistes est questionné comme un espace social devenu structure productrice de « travail créateur » lequel est interrogé par le bras du concept de talent. Le binôme silence/solitude (Blanchot, Merleau-Ponty) est réfléchi quand il acte la création.

Decorrendo no âmbito da Semana de Eventos Pessoanos, organizada por Jerónimo Pizarro (Cátedra de Estudos Portugueses Fernando Pessoa - Universidade dos Andes) e por Rui Sousa (CLEP-ULisboa), merecerá particular atenção a extensa e constante reflexão de Eduardo Lourenço sobre Fernando Pessoa.

Le monde de l’art à l’épreuve du postcapital
Biens communs numériques, « hacking » et « digital labor »
L’expansion du capitalisme tardif à tous les domaines de la vie culturelle a trouvé dans les technologies numériques un puissant levier, menant à la confusion des processus de totalisation communs à la globalisation numérique et à l’économie mondialisée. Cette journée d’étude entend examiner à la lueur de ces mutations l’accroissement du capitalisme « digital » et interroger la façon dont le monde de l’art se reconfigure dans ce système-monde comme la possibilité qu’il y maintienne son autonomie. Elle interrogera ainsi le rôle de l’art dans la constitution d’imaginaires « post-capitalistes » (Gibson-Graham, Beech, Fisher) qui forment aujourd’hui un horizon régulateur de la pensée critique, tourné vers l’horizontalité et la gratuité des échanges (flux, informations, argent). L’enjeu est de comprendre les manières par lesquelles les artistes contribuent, au sein des économies digitales, à déjouer ou au contraire à parachever l’hégémonie du capital sur la culture.

Revolution and Cinema: Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Carnation Revolution
The beginning of the 21st century has been marked by the deepening of social inequalities, the anachronism of authoritarian regimes and the political exhaustion of democratic systems. It should invite us to analyze the traces, myths, outbursts, failures, and eventual successes of past revolutions so we can attain a better apprehension of the links between cinema, art, and politics. This special section aims to contribute to the constitution of a “cine-geography” (Gray and Eshun 2011, 1) of the forms of “making” cinema and revolution. The aim is to update historical and aesthetic analyses that address the encounter between cinema and revolution.

Exploring the Archived Web During a Highly Transformative Age
A Research infrastructure for the study of Archives Web materials - RESAW Conference, 2023
Eight years after the first RESAW conference, we propose to appraise Web archives studies in relation to the research carried out on the Internet, social media, the Web archives and reborn digital heritage. It will examine the development of Web archiving while highlighting the way in which technical, cultural, geopolitical, societal and environmental transformations impact the conception, study and dissemination of this reborn digital heritage. The conference will be an opportunity to stimulate discussions based on the approaches used in different cultural areas on different levels in order to reflect on Web archiving in the Mediterranean and its surrounding areas.

Journées d’étude en hommage à Louis André
Ces deux journées, organisées en hommage à Louis André, décédé brutalement le 22 janvier 2019, entrent en résonance avec ses domaines de recherche et d’enseignement. Enseignant apprécié par ses étudiant·es de l’université Rennes 2, il a créé et co-dirigé pendant dix ans le master MAGEMI. Chercheur reconnu pour ses travaux sur l’histoire de la papeterie, il a joué un rôle très important dans l’étude du patrimoine industriel et comme secrétaire général du Comité d’information et de liaison pour l’archéologie, l’étude et la mise en valeur du patrimoine industriel (CILAC) après ses premiers pas dans le patrimoine de la métallurgie et son passage marquant comme conservateur au musée des Arts et Métiers à Paris.

Heading towards a new frontier?
History on the Web, in films and TV series
Over the last few years, we have been witnessing two phenomena which are concurrent and yet apparently in contrast with each other. On one side, there is evidence of a marginalisation of history, in the sense of a crisis of identity and social function, which extends to the very role of historians. On the other side, there is a huge interest in history among the general public in the consumption of cultural products with a historical focus. We invite all interested scholars to submit proposals that may contribute to a discussion about the effects of the popularization of history through products of widespread use.

La presse culturelle aujourd’hui : un genre médiatique en reconfiguration ?
Nowadays, the cultural press can take a variety of formats and aspects, depending on the angle chosen, the readership or the specific issues being tackled. This international symposium has the ambition of shedding light on this broad spectrum and outline the different ways in which media (both traditional and digital) can examine and write about visual arts, architecture, graphic design, cinema, music, literature, and so on. Our goal in this conference is to implement an interdisciplinary approach to the matter of the artistic and cultural press. Four topics are outlined: “Historical models and influence”; “Diversification of online editorial forms”; “editorial and discursive norms: from specificity to adaptation”; “the art press in the expanded field”.
