Convocatoria de ponencias - Prehistoria y Antigüedad
El entorno natural y la percepción que se tiene de él enmarcan el escenario en que se desarrollaron las culturas de la antigüedad. Para poder llegar a comprender el alcance de esa percepción y acercarnos a la representación mental del mundo que les rodeaba, es preciso cuestionarnos sobre las sensaciones (vista, tacto, olfato, gusto, oído) que procura ese entorno. Con el fin de estudiar esta relación, a la vez íntima y colectiva, se reunirán en la Facultad de Letras de la Universidad de Murcia un nutrido grupo de especialistas de Filología Clásica, Historia y Arqueología para analizar cómo los hombres y mujeres de la antigüedad grecolatina manifestaron ese vínculo a través de sus obras, escritos y testimonios materiales.

Coloquio - Epistemología y métodos
Black Sea archaeology has always captivated the interest of scholars, because of its unique topography and diachronically multi-ethnic historical landscape.The previous decade was a particularly challenging period for archaeological research worldwide due to the new realities imposed by the pandemic, the extraordinary political and socio-economic factors, and the long-lasting crisis in the Humanities and Arts. In spite of all this, excavations, systematic surveys, remote sensing and geophysical prospections, were undertaken in numerous coastal and inland sites along the Euxine, while equally productive were research projects on specific monuments or aspects of the material culture. Aiming to bring forth the latest advances accomplished in the field, the Department of Black Sea Studies at the Democritus University of Thrace in collaboration with the Musée du Louvre, are organizing an International Conference on The Archaeological Work in the Greek Settlements of the BlackSea and their Environs during the Last Decade.

Continuités, ruptures, reprises
Le volume projeté, à paraître comme un supplément des Dialogues d'histoire ancienne, doit faire le point sur la question de l'espace au IVe siècle av. J.-C. À partir des résultats de certains de nos travaux et de l’expérience acquise sur les terrains archéologiques où nous intervenons, il s’agira de réunir des spécialistes travaillant sur des sources différentes pour proposer un panorama de certaines caractéristiques du IVe siècle. Nous attendons des communications sur la production matérielle et intellectuelle des différentes régions du bassin méditerranéen (monde grec, romain, Étrurie, etc.), et accueillerons des propositions fondées sur tous types de sources, écrites, archéologiques, iconographiques, artistiques, en donnant la primeur à celles à caractère pluridisciplinaire.

Géopolitique coloniale et cultures locales dans l'Orient hellénistique et romain (IIIe siècle av. J.-C. – IIIe siècle ap. J.-C.)
It seems clear that, in the Greek-speaking regions of the Roman Empire, Hellenistic models (civic, military or institutional) exercised considerable influence over “Italic” colonial projects. Within this field, relations between military colonists and indigenous peoples demand special attention, considering the degree of social, cultural, economic, political and geopolitical transformation brought about by the installation of certain groups upon those lands as a result of the will of the great power(s) that ruled over them. As for the Roman colonization, modern scholars have often described Roman colonies as vectors of Romanization inserted in alien lands, writing that these communities must have functioned as images of a “small Rome.” While the existence of Latin-speaking colonists ruled by a favorable juridical system such as the Ius Italicum cannot be denied, such a reductionist model can no longer be accepted without qualification, especially in the context of the Greek-speaking provinces of the Roman East. The regions of the Eastern Mediterranean world saw the coming of a number of groups of Roman colonists and thus their cultural climate, their agrarian structures and their geopolitical environment changed. The aim of this panel is to explore new research paths based on broader studies in time and space.

Les 1er et 2 juin 2012, est organisé à la Maison de l’Archéologie et de l’Ethnologie René Ginouvès un colloque intitulé « Mobilités grecques. Migrations, réseaux, contacts en Méditerranée de l’époque archaïque à l’époque hellénistique ». Au moment où les questions de diasporas, de mobilités et de transferts culturels émergent et s'affirment dans le champ pédagogique universitaire et chez les spécialistes des mondes anciens, il a semblé pertinent de proposer une réflexion collective qui porte sur l’arrière-fond conceptuel des travaux récents mais qui propose aussi une mise en pratique critique de ces concepts à partir d'études consacrées à la Méditerranée grecque. -
