  The 44 papers proposed for the conference by members and friends of AFLS range over a number of varieties of French, from Canada to La Réunion, verlan to vocabulary, learner varieties to technolects.Thematic strands group together papers on FLE, diachrony, regional, stylistic and social varieties, syntax and film.

  Colloque AFLS 2006

  Proposals are welcomed for papers on synchronic or diachronic variation, whether diatopic, diastratic or diaphasic. A particular focus of the conference will be on the impact of social factors on language change. Studies of phonological, morphological, lexical or pragmatic features may be complemented by papers which deal with questions relating to variationist methods.
