    The penitentiary administration and the Minister of Justice - a century on

    Depuis le 13 mars 1911, l’administration pénitentiaire est rattachée au ministère de la Justice. La commémoration du centenaire de ce rattachement offre l’occasion de questionner les relations qu’entretient l’administration pénitentiaire (AP) avec les autres institutions du ministère de la Justice, avec les acteurs de l’État avec qui elle a un important lien structurel (ministères de la santé et de l’intérieur), et avec les collectivités territoriales. Au-delà de l’éclairage historique, ce colloque se propose d’examiner le positionnement actuel de l’administration pénitentiaire ainsi que ses perspectives d’évolution au regard notamment des expériences étrangères.

    Answering the unaskable

    Supporting the Digital Humanities – SDH 2011

    Following the first successful SDH conference in Vienna in 2010, the CLARIN and DARIAH initiatives have decided to jointly organise the second SDH conference in Copenhagen, Denmark in November 2011. This year's conference will focus on two major themes: 1. Sound and movement – music, spoken word, dance and theatre & 2.Text and things – text, and the relationship between text and material artefacts, such as manuscript, stone or other carriers of text.

    Identity and interculturality: research methods

    Roskilde International Summer School

    The aims of the Roskilde International Summer School are threefold: 1. to help students grasp and critically engage with the notions of identity and interculturality and see how they are related; 2. to get to know various research methods that can help students to work within cultural and social complexity; 3. to discuss their own research topics and to get to test various research tools that can help them to move on in/improve their research. The Summer School is meant to be transdisciplinary, and the target group is PhD students from all disciplinary backgrounds who are especially interested in methodologies related to this field of study.
