  Les dimensions transnationales de l’anticommunisme de guerre froide

  Alors que la lutte contre le communisme pendant la guerre froide est souvent associée à une « croisade », sur laquelle plane par ailleurs l’ombre – la « main invisible » – des États-Unis et de leurs services secrets (CIA), et que l’historiographie de ces dernières années a beaucoup étudié des aspects tels que la guerre psychologique et la diplomatie culturelle, tout en développant le concept d’histoire transnationale, le moment semble venu de faire le point sur la part de « transnationalité » de l’anticommunisme.

  Re-conceptualizing the social

  First Jean Brunhes Conference

  The first Jean Brunhes conference will focus on current re-conceptions of the social. To what extent do new perspectives in Human Heography focusing on concepts such as practice, performance, assemblage, network or system represent an epistemological shift? Do they add to, redefine or replace more traditional concepts within human geography such as space, place, territory or region? What kind of knowledge do these perspectives produce and how do they transform the relationship between knowledge and action? What are the political consequences of these perspectives? And what’s next?

  Poste de doctorant-e en sociologie à l'Université de Fribourg

  Le doctorant-e réalisera sa thèse dans le cadre du projet Mobile and contingent work interactions in the hospital care unit. La recherche étudie les déplacements des infirmières au sein de l'hôpital et le rôle des échanges langagiers en situation de mobilité dans la coordination du travail soignant. Le doctorant-e suivra le programme de l'école doctorale interdisciplinaire ProDoc Adaptivity in Communication and Health soutenue par le Fonds national suisse de la recherche scientifique. L'école offre une formation complète de troisième cycle (cours thématiques, séminaires méthodologiques et ateliers de développement de compétences professionnelles) et procure un environnement stimulant pour la réalisation d'un doctorat.

  Harold Garfinkel Tribute Events dans le cadre de l'IIEMCA2011

  The 10th Conference of the International Institute for Ethnomethodology and Conversation Analysis will be held from July 11 to 14, 2011 at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland). The Conference promotes the study of practical action and social interaction, and provides an international forum for researchers working in the areas of ethnomethodology and conversation analysis. The conference will also celebrate the originality, significance and fruitfulness of the work of Harold Garfinkel, who passed away last month at the age of 93. Specific events will be held to honor Harold Garfinkel's legacy: a tribute ceremony, workshops on his research and an exhibition displaying testimonies of his influence around the world. You will find the program of these activities as well as information on how to contribute on the conference website
