Attempts at identification and restitution – work in progress
L'ampleur des spoliations de bibliothèques effectuées par les forces nazies durant la seconde guerre mondiale a été durablement sous-estimée. En France seulement, au moins cinq millions de livres et documents graphiques ont été volés à leurs légitimes propriétaires : ministères, bibliothèques slaves, personnalités des milieux radicaux, socialistes et communistes, francs-maçons. Mais c'est surtout leur lien originaire avec l'antisémitisme nazi qui fait la spécificité première des spoliations nazies.

Reform, institutions, reconciliation
After years as a space of authoritarian exception, the Arab world became a space of "revolution". The outcome has proven meager at best: most authoritarian regimes have managed to muzzle protest movements. Only Tunisia seems engaged in a process of transition, relaying and integrating key political constituencies. Given such a configuration, we will examine the various modes by which relations of Justice and political power have been articulated in recent years in Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia.

Artistic representations of the self and the other in the Great War
Partant du constat d'un profond bouleversement des identités civiles et combattantes au cours de la Grande Guerre, ce colloque vise à mieux comprendre comment les arts ont pu se ressaisir de ces images de soi et de l'autre, nouvelles ou préexistentes, tout au long du XXe siècle. En cherchant à déterminer en quoi ces représentations fluctuèrent au fil du temps, l'enjeu serait aussi de déterminer en quoi elles se présentèrent aux artistes comme un défi susceptible de provoquer de profonds renouvellements techniques et esthétiques.

Il s’agira lors de cette journée, de renouveler la connaissance d’un périodique à la fois connu et méconnu de la presse cinématographique française de l’après deuxième guerre mondiale afin d’enrichir l’histoire de la critique française, de la cinéphilie et des débats « de fonds » qui ont pu la nourrir dont certains eurent et ont encore des prolongements au-delà de l’existence même de l’écran français.

Ce séminaire mensuel, sous forme d’atelier, se propose de réunir les chercheurs issus de toutes disciplines intéressés par une relecture historique des arts et de la culture des années 1980. L’accent sera mis sur l’historicisation (sources archivistiques, statut du témoignage et des discours critiques), sur l’exploration des frontières (des géographies et des médias) et l’hybridation des catégories (art / design ; art / technologie ; art / image). Chaque séance sera consacrée à la discussion d’un travail en cours, de manière à la fois informelle et approfondie. Tous les chercheurs intéressés (qu’ils soient débutants ou confirmés) sont les bienvenus pour prendre part aux discussions et présenter leur propre travail.

The multidisciplinary program EnJeu[x] Enfance et Jeunesse organises in Angers an International Colloquium about words and rights of the children (20th-21st centuries). The organisation committee is awaiting on one hand interventions which will propose a reflection on the sources, corpus, access to the data, methods and procedures of practitioners and researchers in the humanities and social sciences around the collection of the child's word; on the other hand monographs and case studies at different scales which present advancements in knowledge.

Partant du constat d’une vitalité croissante des échanges urbanistiques internationaux au cours du XXe siècle, la journée d’étude entend explorer le rôle des colloques internationaux dans l’apparition, l’accompagnement ou l’inflexion des grandes thématiques de l’aménagement urbain au XXe siècle (planification ; infrastructures ; logement ; cités-jardins et villes nouvelles ; environnement et politique de la ville). Choisir l’« objet » colloque part des contraintes même de ce type d’événements dont la forme est très codifiée. S’ils ne sont pas toujours le lieu de l’innovation, les colloques sont un lieu pour échanger et pour exister et répondent à des pratiques sociales qui ne sont pas sans permettre des transferts nouveaux.

Crises, chocs, catastrophes renvoient à des évènements chroniques ou ponctuels, anticipés ou imprévisibles, micro-locaux ou planétaires. L’idée d’une dégradation d’un état initial semble être sous-jacente à l’ensemble de ces termes. La survenue de tels évènements pose – pour les sociétés qui en ont la capacité – la question d’une gestion raisonnée de ces perturbations / phénomènes. L’ambition de ce séminaire est donc de s’interroger sur les comportements à l’œuvre dès lors que la crise est entrevue, que le choc est subi, que la catastrophe a eu lieu.

L’histoire de la sexualité, tant en termes de pratiques que de représentations, mais aussi l’histoire de la jeunesse « régulière » comme celle de la jeunesse « irrégulière », ont donné lieu depuis maintenant plus de quarante ans à d’importants travaux en sciences humaines et sociales. Néanmoins le croisement entre jeunesse et sexualité reste rare, plus encore dès lors qu’il s’agit d’évoquer les champs extra-scolaires. C’est ce point aveugle de l’historiographie de la jeunesse et de la sexualité que se propose de combler ce numéro thématique qui ne prendra pas les institutions scolaires comme cadre unique et tentera de faire des ponts entre les différentes institutions et politiques éducatives.

Theme issue of the journal Études arméniennes contemporaines (EAC n° 8 – Decembre 2017)
The history of the large-scale massacres committed against the Armenians under the reign of Sultan Abdülhamid II, in 1894-1896, is still largely unknown, its sources underutilized or not studied at all. This period of extreme violence, a watershed in the political and social history of the Ottoman Empire, raises many questions about the similarities and differences with the genocidal process of 1915-1916. We invite submissions on a broad range of topics and disciplinary approaches for this special issue. Relevant studies may include chronological analyses of the events of the 1890s themselves, as well as analyses of the consequences of that era of violence up to the present day. At the heart of this issue lies the question of the precedent: what links can be established between the genocide and the mass crimes that preceded it – an issue relevant to the study of other twentieth-century genocides.

This colloquium is devoted to arts criticism through an interdisciplinary approach in a transnational perspective between France, the FRG and the GDR in the 1960-1980's. This is about a question of German critical reception of French art and vice versa, and of a differentiation of this reception according to several artistic fields.
