Frei sein, frei handeln - Freiheit zwischen theoretischer und praktischer Philosophie
Graduiertentagung für Philosophie
If today, freedom can be conceived as a physiological property of human being, such conception trivializes the history of freedom as a philosophical concept. Throughout the history of philosophy, freedom has always been discussed in much larger contexts: If, for example, freedom consists in acting freely in causally determined nature, a conception of human freedom arises only from metaphysical presupposition. The same holds true for an understanding of human freedom as something realizing itself in history, as something that is only possible through grace, or as something that must be won against dominant interpretations of self and world. The concept of freedom is thus not only a topic in practical and theoretical philosophy, but can be understood as a connection of both–and be it in a tension between the two. We are calling for contributions both in the history of philosophy and in a systematic approach to the topic. -

La revue Méditerranée va consacrer un numéro sur les mobilités des activités et recomposition des territoires en Méditerranée. Trois entrées principales seront privilégiées : la mobilité des capitaux et les flux d’investissement ; la mobilité des opérateurs économiques (commerçants, cadres et chefs d’entreprises) ; la mobilité des modèles de développement (complexes touristiques, zones franches, technopôles ou pôles de compétitivité…). -

The colloquium is organized by the UMR 6012 ESPACE, a research team from the Department of Geography of the Aix-Marseille University. After the success of the first edition, our ambition is to provide every two years the opportunity for doctorants, postdoctorants, researchers and public health professionals to present their original research dealing with the spatial aspects of health and health care issues. Special attention is given to quantitative approaches in this field, either related to observational or theoretical studies. -

Le congrès annuel de l'International Society for Cultural History, organisé au château de Lunéville du 2 au 5 juillet 2012, propose d’engager une réflexion sur l’articulation entre travail et culture, en établissant un dialogue entre différents courants historiographiques, dans une optique résolument transdisciplinaire. Il privilégiera la diversité des communications sur les plans méthodologique, géographique et chronologique.
