The event will consist of a two day colloquium, organized at the University of Witwaterstrand (Wits) and University of Johannesburg (UJ); one day of site visits to some of emblematic neighbourhoods of Johannesburg as far as the subject of urban memory in South Africa is concerned. It is anticipated that the academic fields represented will range from urban history, geography, anthropology, heritage studies and urban sociology. The intention is to go beyond the frame of "African studies" and to connect experiments and reflections from all corners of what is now a global issue. -

Conçu comme un outil de formation à la recherche, à l’initiative du monde académique, au bénéfice des professionnels impliqués dans la diffusion et l’enseignement des langues, fondé sur l’échange scientifique entre jeunes chercheurs, universitaires et experts confirmés, le Séminaire propose d’engager la réflexion scientifique internationalisée par un programme incitatif comportant des conférences plénières de chercheurs de premier plan issus de champs disciplinaires complémentaires et des ateliers consacrés à la présentation par les jeunes chercheurs de leurs travaux. -

Favors, influence and corruption
Culture and politics in modern and contemporary times (19th-20th centuries)
Au cours des vingt dernières années, les débats collectifs sur la corruption politique ont pris une importance considérable. Dans de nombreux pays, comme au plan international, ces débats ont abouti à la création de nouvelles normes, visant à éradiquer la corruption, au nom de la transparence. Par contraste, l’étude historique du phénomène est encore à ses débuts, particulièrement les recherches comparatistes. Cet appel à contribution concerne un projet comparatiste qui veut montrer comment les phénomènes de corruption, dans leurs formes actuelles, sont apparus, en Europe, entre le début du XIXe siècle et la première moitié du XXe siècle, avant d'évoluer fortement au cours du XXe siècle. -

Vector of renewal of the relations between universe of education and work?
Ce colloque a pour buts : - d’identifier et décrire les connaissances et les expériences relatives à la RVAE à travers différents axes thématiques. Il s’agira de s’interroger, en termes de distance et de rupture, sur les parcours individuels (candidats, professionnels de l’accompagnement, membres de jurys, etc.) singuliers et collectifs au sein d’une société en constante évolution et sur les contraintes qu’elle fait peser sur eux ; - d’articuler et analyser les résultats rapportés de ces problématisations et expérimentations de façon à identifier l’intérêt d’une perspective comparée des approches et des méthodologies utilisées dans les différents espaces locaux, nationaux et internationaux ; - de tirer les enseignements de ces analyses pour les confronter à des propositions, à même de structurer de futures collaborations, sous forme de programmes internationaux. Autrement dit, l’intention est de contribuer à un débat scientifique et pragmatique de fond et de favoriser un début de conceptualisation ou de formulation d’hypothèses d’action. -

Nous reprenons comme l’an dernier notre cycle qui a pour objet une question qui a intéressé les érudits depuis Vitruve en passant par J.-J.Rousseau : l’habitation. Plusieurs séances sont prévues entre octobre et mars. Ce thème sera présenté à partir des données archéologiques du Néolithique au Moyen Âge. Nous avons pris le parti de focaliser sur les sites de la périphérie pour enrichir les comparaisons avec l’Anatolie. -
