  Medieval Manuscripts in Motion 2015

  This International Conference aims to follow up the initiative "Medieval Europe in Motion: the circulation of artists, images, patterns and ideas, from the Mediterranean to the Atlantic coast", held in Lisbon in 2013 and organized by the Institute for Medieval Studies of the Nova University Lisbon.With the aim of creating academic, scientific and organizational synergies, this second edition will be organized in collaboration with two other international institutions, the University of Cantabria and the University of León. The main scientific of the event, as it was the previous conference, is to analyse the phenomenon of circulation, motion and mobility of people, forms and ideas during the Middle Ages. This time, however, the kind of works under consideration will be illuminated manuscripts. This three-day Conference aims thus to conduct a critical and constructive revision of research on Iberian Book Illumination in the Middle Ages, proposing new questions to be discussed.

  La (dé)construction de l’Europe (1939-1945)

  IIIe rencontre annuelle l’Europe et le monde

  Suite aux rencontres organisées en 2012 et en 2013, respectivement intitulées Pour la Paix (1849-1939) et L’Europe de l’entre-deux-guerres (1919-1939), la III^e Rencontre annuelle l’Europe et le Monde propose à la réflexion et à la discussion les idées, les propositions et les initiatives qui, dans le contexte de la seconde guerre mondiale, ont eu l’Europe pour objet. Les années de guerre ont vu, en particulier dans les mouvements de résistance, se former des conceptions nouvelles de l’union politique et économique de l’Europe. Entraînée dans un processus d’autodestruction, l’Europe a été durant le même temps repensée dans des architectures diverses où les esprits ont cherché à configurer leurs idéaux de coopération européenne.

  Keep it Simple, Make it Fast! Crossing Borders of Underground Music Scenes

  KISMIF International Conference 2015

  The submission of papers for this conference is open to academic researchers working in all areas of sociology, anthropology, history, cultural economics, geography, urban planning, media and cultural studies and cognate disciplines, including design, illustration musicology, popular music and visual and performing arts. This initiative follows the great success of the first KISMIF conference (held in July, 2014). The stimulating scientific program of the conference will be accompanied by a social program in the form of art and music in action providing a unique and enriching experience of underground music scenes in the city of Porto and elsewhere in the world.

  Ve colloque luso-hispano-français « Géographie, langues et textes littéraires »

  Plus que jamais, géographie, langue et littérature ont partie liée dans la perception du lieu ; d’un lieu en tant que constructo, espace façonné, habité, investi symboliquement par l’Homme. Dans cette approche, plusieurs perspectives critiques et lignes de recherche sont venues enrichir et complexifier, voire systématiser, les textes au carrefour du littéraire, du scientifique du géographique et de l’historique, à savoir la géocritique, l’écocritique, la littérature de voyage ou les études exiliques, entre autres.
