  The aim of this midterm conference is to bring scholars, researchers, educators, students, professionals, and other groups interested in sports and physical activity to propose their works. The focus of this midterm conference lays in the challenges that sociology of sports and physical activity have to face to understand these new complex scenarios, the main issues we had to face, the successes, the criticalities and the lessons learned, the new horizons of our understandings of the social and cultural landscapes.

  Six doctoral studentships in History of Europe from the Middle Ages to Present Time

  University of Teramo (Italy)

  The PhD in History of Europe intends to promote research on European history, its national specificities and common processes. Special focus will be devoted to political, religious, cultural, economic, and social changes that have marked the European continent from the Middle Ages to present time, as well as the study and critical research on the issues and problems of traditional historiography (organisations and institutions, regional dimensions, behaviours, attitudes, religion, culture, etc.), and the most recent historiographical trends (world history, trans-national history, and cultural experiences).

  Il seminario si propone di verificare quali ruoli giocarono gli ordini religiosi nella politica internazionale della Santa Sede: in che misura essi furono meri oggetti o strumenti? Furono in grado di dar vita - più o meno apertamente e per quali ragioni - a strategie in qualche modo autonome? Quale consapevolezza singoli o gruppi di religiosi elaborarono della propria identità in relazione ai condizionamenti della politica internazionale in un età di conflitti?
