Cette rencontre scientifique autour des travaux de William Novak se veut l’occasion de débattre des renouveaux de l’historiographie de l’État en France et aux Etats-Unis. Réunissant historiens et politistes son objectif est de dépasser les visions trop habituelles sur l’État faible américain ou sur l’État jacobin français. À partir de la discussion de la recherche en cours de W. Novak par des spécialistes français de l’histoire nord américaine et par des historiens travaillant sur l’État en France, on cherche à faire se croiser les perspectives historiographiques sur des objets aujourd’hui reconsidérés par l’histoire politique. -

Religion in Europe, religion and Europe
Recent debates have focused on the institutional issues raised by the relations between religion and European integration, such as the Churches’ participation in EU governance, references to the Christian heritage of Europe in the preamble of the Constitutional treaty, or the revival of denominational powers within national arenas. Meanwhile, belief is nowadays developing in Europe essentially through individualized and deregulated forms which are no longer under the control and the mediation of organized political and spiritual institutions. This workshop aims to analyse both institutional and non-institutional religious phenomena in their interaction with the Europeanization process experienced by State members. -

La migration des mineurs non accompagnés en Europe
Unaccompanied Minors in Europe
Ce colloque prétend pouvoir générer un espace d’échanges et de discussions sur cette question qui demeure peu traitée. Ses principaux objectifs sont : d’une part, installer un dialogue entre les chercheurs et les professionnels afin de proposer un traitement social et juridique cohérent et respectant la prééminence des droits de protection de l’enfance devant les règles de contrôle des flux migratoires ; d’autre part, fédérer l’effort de recherche sur cette nouvelle question afin de mieux appréhender les dynamiques migratoires aujourd’hui à l’oeuvre et ainsi développer une réflexion méthodologique visant à accroître la connaissance des contextes sociaux d’origine de ces mineurs et saisir la pluralité des dimensions de ce depart d’un nombre croissant d'enfants quittant seuls leur pays. -
