The International Colloquium Politics and Narratives of the Body aims to open an interdisciplinary dialogue, considering the multiple ways of thinking, representing, embodying and writing corporeality, particularly in contemporary contexts. Artistic-cultural practices, productions and epistemologies from the edges: voices and decolonial stakes of feminisms and sexual dissidences

This symposium aims to make visible, analyze and reflect on border cultural practices and productions. In the geographic and symbolic borders stand identities and resistances of those “othernesses” built by colonialism and by that “western conscience”. In a decolonizing effort on the object-subject in artistic-cultural production, feminisms and sexual dissidences in the Ibero-American and diasporic space transform “the personal into the political” through artivist practices and the appropriation of public and virtual space, proposals from performance, manifesto, street art, literature, weaving, scenic arts and music, among other forms of expression that deconstruct the hegemonic vision.

Regards croisés franco-latino-américains sur les défis liés à l’environnement

Depuis les années 70 la problématique environnementale n’a cessé de prendre de l’ampleur. En effet, nous sommes passés d’une perception localisée des atteintes à l’environnement à une compréhension globale des risques liés au changement climatique et à leurs impacts sur les socio-écosystèmes. Il apparaît donc opportun afin de répondre au mieux aux défis et enjeux de la crise environnementale qui nous impacte de partager et de faire connaître les expériences et les théories développées depuis des continents, des cultures et des géographies différentes afin d’enrichir notre objet d’étude. À cet égard, ce congrès organisé du 23 au 27 octobre 2023 au Costa Rica se propose d’offrir des perspectives d’études pluridisciplinaires, interdisciplinaires et transdisciplinaires sur les thématiques environnementales : changement climatique, biodiversité, résilience, santé globale, paiements pour services environnementaux, etc.

Verbum et Lingua lance un appel à contribution pour son numéro spécial intitulé « La médiation culturelle dans l’enseignement des langues : possibilités, défis ou mission impossible ? » La médiation culturelle s’entend comme la recherche de la compréhension et de l’entente entre les différences linguistiques et culturelles des différentes communautés. L’enseignement des langues et des cultures joue un rôle dans la médiation culturelle par le biais de la pédagogie, de la linguistique, des études interculturelles, de la recherche et des outils méthodologiques qui servent cet objectif. La revue invite donc les spécialistes dans le domaine de la médiation culturelle et les intermédiaires linguistiques, intéressés par la facilitation de l’enseignement des langues-cultures en tant que pont vers une meilleure compréhension entre eux, à participer avec des propositions d’articles.
