  Pantheons and other places of memory and burial in the Middle Ages

  This International conference will be devoted to Medieval Pantheons. The main aim is to promote a broad and innovative debate on the concept of “pantheon” throughout the Middle Ages, as well as their underlying intentions. It is also intended to address the specificity of themes that are intertwined with the construction, ornamentation and everyday uses of these spaces by the communities that host them.

  The Art of Ornament

  Meanings, Archetypes, Forms ​and Uses

  The omnipresence of the ornament as a cultural expression is transversal to all civilizations, and to all periods in history. A combination of pleasure and power, prestige and hierarchy, the ornament defines socio-cultural patterns and allows interpretations and specific views to be formed of each society and period. In this conference we intend to debate not only case studies, but theoretical and critical approaches regarding the place and permanence of the ornament, its multiple manifestations and moments of valorization in certain contexts and geographies.

  L’enseignement/apprentissage de l’écrit dans l’enseignement primaire, secondaire et supérieur est une thématique d’actualité qui a mobilisée de nombreuses recherches tant au Brésil que dans d’autres pays. Dans ce contexte, un élément occupe une place appart : le processus d’évaluation de l’apprentissage et, en particulier, l’évaluation de la révision et de la réécriture textuelle. Aussi avons-nous comme objectif de réunir des travaux scientifiques inédits aussi bien théoriques que pratiques traitant des divers aspects en relation au thème de l’évaluation, révision et réécriture textuelle.

Com o objectivo de apreender a realidade dos grupos com os quais e para os quais as acções de promoção da saúde e da cidadania são desenvolvidas, pretende-se que os artigos abordem a compreensão dos processos sociais que integram a complexidade das relações activismos/internet/saúde em contextos heterogéneos.

  Espaces littéraires et territoires critiques

  Pour une approche de l’espace littéraire : géopoétique et géocritique dans le franchissement des frontières de la connaissance

  La réorientation théorique des études littéraires dans le sens de son approche renouvelée du « réel », identifiée plus tard par d’aucuns comme le « tournant spatial » (Soja, 1989) commence à prendre forme dans le panorama théorico-littéraire à partir du milieu du XX^e siècle, quand des théoriciens de renom dans le champ structuraliste accordent un vaste espace de réflexion au rapport entre « la littérature et la réalité », dans le but de dénoncer avec insistance toute « illusion référentielle » (Barthes et al., 1982), et de renvoyer l’espace littéraire à sa spécularité intratextuelle (Dällenbach, 1977).

  Keep It Simple, Make It Fast! (KISMIF) International Conference

  The third KISMIF International Conference “Keep It Simple, Make It Fast! (KISMIF) DIY Cultures, Spaces and Places” will take place in Porto, Portugal, between 18^th July and 21^st July 2016. The submission of abstracts for this conference is open to academic researchers working in all areas of sociology, anthropology, history, cultural economics, geography, urban planning, media and cultural studies and cognate disciplines, such as design, illustration, popular music, cinema, visual and performing arts. The KISMIF Conference 2016 is once again focused on underground music, directing its attention this time towards the analysis of DIY cultures’ relationship to space and places.

  Hoje, mais do que nunca, importa estudar as variáveis territoriais das formações sociais, uma vez que o espaço atua cada vez mais, a várias escalas, como força de integração, mas também de exclusão, segregação e relegação, contribuindo ativamente para a criação e recomposição de injustiças, de diferenças e de desigualdades. O território não é um mero cenário onde se projetam os atores sociais. Dotado de especificidades, resiste ou favorece as dinâmicas sociais, pela mediação das práticas, pela sua historicidade, pela sua configuração própria, influenciando quer a distribuição dos grupos sociais no espaço, quer as tipologias das formas de habitação, quer mesmo o planeamento e o urbanismo.

  VI congresso da Associação Portuguesa de Antropologia (APA) – Chamada para comunicações

  The upcoming conference of the Portuguese Anthropological Association continues the debate about the worlds we inhabit, create and differentiate. Knowledge about its pluralities has guided the discipline for over one hundred years, in ever new and unexpected scenarios. Anthropology faces new challenges in the contemporary context of an anthropocene (or in its most radical version, capitolocene) and its uncertain responsibilities on the collective fate of humans and nonhumans. While governments and political actors favor macroscopic knowledge supported on statistics and normative analytical frameworks, we respond with what we learn in ethnography and anthropology: a knowledge closer to the lived experience and one that pays attention to the voices, bodies, desires, subjectivities, communities, identities, anxieties about the past, present and near future, unsatisfied by large-scope ideological narratives.
