“Chiasmi International” n° 22, 2020
The question of technology is not often directly addressed by Merleau-Ponty and is rarelythematized as such. The philosopher does not explicitly elaborate what today we would define as aphilosophy of technology or a theory of techniques. And yet, this issue often appears in thebackground of his analysis and sometimes it even constitutes the pivot of his questioning of themutual implication of the sense and the sensible, nature and culture.

New shape of sharing: networks, expertise, information
A forum on current issues in European librarianship
The New Shape of Sharing: Networks, Expertise, Information continues conversations begun at the New Directions Symposium held in Frankfurt in 2017. This multi-day forum of panel presentations, a poster session, and interactive breakout sessions on key issues facing Western European collections and public services will encourage both structured and unstructured debate. We will advance our understanding of the challenges and initiate action in three areas: design new models for collaborative collection development and services; explore a growing range of content and format types and what they mean for libraries and researchers, and highlight the evolving role of libraries and librarians in the research process.

Integrating Gender in the History of Humanitarian aid: Europe (20th –21st century)

Debating the Norms of Scientific Writing
Scholars coming from various disciplines in the social sciences have questioned the limits of scientific writing, for instance its narrative dimension or the the referential value of the scientific text. Debates on the forms of scientific writing will be at the core of our workshop. Our aim is to probe these writing experiments, and to study how they express, justify, problematize, and renegotiate the normative rhetoric of disciplines.
