Le thème retenu cette année est celui de la jeunesse, sa place dans la société, ses expériences et ses représentations d'Octave à Néron (44 av. J.-C. à 68 apr. J.-C.). Les communications attendues seront centrées sur la jeunesse, possiblement en relation avec d’autres âges (l’enfance et l’âge mûr). On peut prendre en compte toutes les sources, dans toutes les langues vernaculaires de l’empire romain, et de toute nature, épigraphiques, numismatiques, papyrologiques, littéraires, juridiques et bien sûr iconographiques.

To Build for the Local Community
Currently perceived in a largely positive way, 'nearness' has become a trendy concept, which is also valued in architecture and urban planning : use of bio-based and geo-based materials, return to hand drawing, setting-up of agencies in rural areas, renewed interest in critical regionalism, etc. Far from being new, and also going with a dark side, this notion applied to architecture and urban planning deserve exploration over the long term (18th-21st centuries) in order to enrich and qualify current reflections and practices. The conference aim to bring into dialogue the work of researchers (in architecture, architectural and urban history, sociology, geography, urban planning, etc.) and testimonies from local actors in architecture and territorial planning (elected officials, local authority professionals, architects, urban planners, etc.).

In 2024, the 77th Festival of Cannes' short film competition selected Amarela (2024),a film by Japanese-Brazilian director André Hayato Saito, which focuses on the experiencesof Japanese-Brazilians. This event reflects a growing interest in a diverse, transnational, andmultilingual filmography on the subject of the Japanese diaspora, particularly theJapanese-Brazilians, who are the largest group affected by return migration (or “detourmigration” (Perroud, 2007)) to Japan. This Young Researchers Colloquium aims atvisualizing and discussing that film corpus and its aesthetic, socio-historical andmethodological issues.

Cet appel à contribution a pour objet l’exploration des nouvelles formes des mouvements liés à l’ésotérisme occidental et oriental dans le monde. Il s’agit de savoir comment (média, personnes) est-ce qu'ils se diffusent et s’organisent dans les pays du globe où ils s’implantent. Le projet est de documenter les aspects qu’ils prennent à travers leur cohabitation ou évitement des spiritualités, traditions et/ou religions locales, leurs matérialités et activités ou pratiques (rituelles), de même que leur importance dans la sphère religieuse et la société (au sens large) de leur payas d’adoption.

This thematic issue seeks to serve as a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, bringing together literature, art, language sciences, and didactics to explore the processes through which identity is constructed, negotiated, and transformed in an ever-evolving world.

This workshop focuses on sanitary prevention and the practices of health professionals at sea, on board ships or in port environments. Over three centuries, the transnational approach covers military and merchant navies, both sailing and steam-powered, in ports on three continents.

Youth, Actors for Peace and Security in West and Central Africa: Challenges and Opportunities for a Sustainable Future
A consortium of organizations and academic institutions is organizing an international conference in Yaoundé, Cameroon, from June 16 to 18, 2025, on the theme: “Youth as Actors of Peace and Security in the Sahel.” The event aims to explore the potential of young people in violence prevention, peace and security promotion, and conflict resolution in the Sahel. Young people, seen as dynamic and innovative, will be at the center of the discussions. The conference will include plenary sessions, round tables, workshops, and interactive discussions, bringing together various actors from the region and beyond.

Private Writings of Dignitaries in Exile on Reunion Island
This workshop explores the intimate effects of the educational experience of dignitaries exiled to Reunion Island at the dawn of the 20th century. Experimenting seclusion, their exile was also a time of publicizing their words, with the publication of memoirs and press articles. The aim is to see how these prison worlds, which were on the increase during the colonial period, helped shape the bodies and souls of the inmates. Focusing on the writings of exiled dignitaries, this workshop seeks to probe the intimate changes that these new scholastic knowledges operate in terms of sociability, relationship to self and others, in a context of resistance to French occupation.

Access rights, Algorithmic transparency, and Data protection challenges
In the digital age, online platforms collect and exploit huge quantities of personal data, profoundly influencing social, economic and political dynamics. Yet their opaque operation limits access to the information essential for analyzing their mechanisms and measuring their impact. These infrastructures act like black boxes, making the study of their practices particularly complex. The DATARights seminar examines the right of access to personal data as a lever for transparency, particularly in the context of scientific research. Through several sessions in French and English, it will bring together researchers and experts from various disciplines to examine the concrete uses of this right, its limits and the challenges linked to its collective exercise in the face of algorithmic and data governance issues.
