Colloque franco espagnol sur les transitions sociales et environnementales du tourisme

L’évènement vise à réunir les chercheurs francophones et hispanophones en sciences sociales qui travaillent sur les questions du tourisme afin d’entamer ou de consolider des dynamiques de recherches transfrontalières autour de cet objet d’étude entre la France et l’Espagne. Ainsi, les communications pourront être effectuées dans les deux langues. La première journée s’orientera sur la thématique des « défis sociaux des sociétés mises en tourisme ». Tandis que la seconde journée, dans une logique de continuité, visera à « penser les transformations du tourisme au-delà du greenwashing ».

I Have A Dream

In the light of diversity: art, culture, public policy and the digital world

The 2nd International Seminar will focus particularly on culture and diversity, as well as the ways in which the principles of equality are being undermined. The title refers directly to Martin Luther King’s vision of true equality, as expressed in his famous 1963 speech, ‘I Have a Dream’, which called for an end to racial discrimination, by choosing the words and wishes of union. The research highlights the importance of combatting xenophobia and hate speech directed at migrants, refugees, the Romani-Gypsy community, and cultural minorities.

Initiated by a group of young artist-researchers from the Eberhard Karl University of Tübingen and the University of Toulouse – Jean Jaurès (UT2J), the project Poietics and Politics of the Pluriverse, Part II: Revolutions, Research-Crea[c]tions and Possible Worlds aims to provide a space to expand and break down the boundaries of thought and creation. Focusing on revolutions (political, but also artistic, scientific, metaphysical…), “research-crea[c]tion” and possible worlds, this second conference will further explore the poietics, politics and cosmologies of the Pluriverse. It will bring together researchers and “artivists” for workshops, performances, academic presentations and discussions open to the public.

La journée propose une réflexion collective sur la place, le rôle et la visibilité des élites féminines secondaires dans la trame sociopolitique des royaumes de Castille et de Navarre entre le XIII^e et le XV^esiècle. En croisant les approches historiques, philologiques et culturelles, cette rencontre vise à questionner les formes d’agence et de subordination des femmes dans les structures de pouvoir médiévales, et à contribuer à une ligne de recherche internationale en études médiévales et de genre.

Les membres issus de différents axes de trois unités de recherche – Études romanes (CRIIA-REDES), CRPM (Centre de Recherches Pluridisciplinaires Multilingues) et CREA (Centre de Recherches Anglophones) – du Département de LEA (Langues étrangères appliquées) de l’Université Paris Nanterre proposent une thématique transversale pour leur première rencontre internationale : Interactions : agir et réagir en contexte d’interculturalité et d’interdisciplinarité. Ces mouvements – l’agir et le réagir – ont été largement étudiés dans diverses disciplines, telles que la sociologie, les études culturelles, la linguistique ou encore la didactique. L’objectif de ce colloque sera d’interroger les différents aspects de l’interaction autour de trois axes : (socio-)culturel, linguistique et didactique. Taking Falla’s stay in Mallorca as its point of departure, the conference aims to encourage reflection on issues related to the arts and European culture in the context of the 1930s.

The study of linguistic universals, closely tied to linguistic typology, seeks to identify features shared across natural languages despite their diversity. These universals — traditionally classified as phono-logical, grammatical, semantic, and symbolic — aim to formalize the invariants of human language, often in connection with cognition and perception. While linguistic typol-ogy focuses on differences between languages, the study of universals defines their con-straints, delineating the boundaries of possible variation.

This first edition of the Conference Series on Postcolonial Studies from Latin America — conducted in collaboration with the Department of Languages — arose from a particular concern: what does it mean to engage with Latin American thought from France? In an article that also serves as a statement of position, historian Serge Gruzinski attempts to answer this question: France is a place where it is possible to seek a new conception of the relationship between Europe and America, far from the reductions that certain intellectual traditions—notably American postcolonial studies—have made of Latin America.
