Construir lo sagrado en la europa románica : reliquia, espacio, imagen y rito

VI coloquio Ars Mediaevalis

Pour sa sixième édition, le colloque Ars Mediaevalis, qui se déroulera à Aguilar de Campoo (Espagne) du 30 septembre au 2 octobre 2016 a choisi d'analyser la notion de « sacré » à l'époque romane et ses liens avec les productions artistiques et leurs fonctions dans l'espace de l'église et au cours des cérémonies liturgiques. Comme les éditions précédentes, le colloque fera alterner les conférences plénières et les communications. Les chercheurs intéressés par la thématique sont invités à proposer leur résumé avant le 30 juin 2016.

À propos de la toreutique ibérique

El objetivo de este coloquio es la puesta al día y debate crítico del estudio sobre los bronces de la Cultura Ibérica (siglos VI al I a.C.), como línea de trabajo que inició y potenció el profesor francés Gérard Nicolini. Dicho investigador ha centrado gran parte de su investigación en el estudio de los numerosos exvotos ibéricos procedentes de los santuarios de Sierra Morena y de Murcia. Asimismo, fue director de las excavaciones en alguno de estos espacios, como en el santuario de Castellar, en colaboración con la Universidad de Jaén.

Deutsch-französisch-polnische Sommerschule zum Weimarer Dreieck „Europa von „unten“"

Die „Trilaterale Sommerschule zum Weimarer Dreieck“ in Paris wird sich mit Prozessen auseinandersetzen, mit denen sich Europa gewissermaßen „von unten“ konstituiert. Ausgehend von der vielfach aufgestellten Behauptung einer wachsenden Kluft zwischen einem „Europa von oben“ und der lebensweltlichen Realität der Mehrzahl der europäischen Bevölkerung – einer Kluft, die Entfremdung und Europamüdigkeit nach sich ziehe –, soll zunächst der Frage nachgegangen werden, ob und inwieweit diese These den gesellschaftlichen Entwicklungen in Europa entspricht. Ist der Dualismus zwischen einem technokratisch gesteuerten Europa und den mehr oder minder „tatsächlichen“ Problemen der europäischen Bürger (Lebensplanung, Arbeit, Sozialleistungen, Umwelt, Generationengerechtigkeit, wirtschaftliche Nöte, subjektives Wohlempfinden usw.) aufrechtzuerhalten? Inwiefern lassen sich gesellschaftliche Dynamiken von oben steuern? Worin liegt die gesellschaftliche Eigendynamik und lassen sich gegenwärtige Probleme des Europaprojekts auf eine Spannung oder Kluft zwischen „oben“ und „unten“ zurückleiten? Tragen die wachsende Mobilität und Vernetzung nur zur Verständigung bei, oder werden sie auch als Gefahr oder als Mechanismus der Ausgrenzung wahrgenommen?

The international conference “Scales of the Alimentation: an Asian Perspective” aims at bringing together the French and international scholars of Asia in order to promote a global approach to Asia and to bring together different research institutions based in Europe, therefore to develop the exchanges between different international scholars of Asian societies and experts related to the themes of the food. Our objective is to deliver in-depth analysis and innovative methods arising from research in social and human sciences. Art history for artists: interactions between scholarly discourse and artistic practice in the 19th century

The conference seeks to examine the shaping of art history as a discipline during the 19^th century in relation to artistic training and exchanges between artists and scholars. The development of art history has been associated with an array of socio-political and economic factors such as the formation of a bourgeois public, the politics of national identity and state legitimacy or the needs of an expanding art market. This conference aspires to explore yet another, less studied dimension: the extent to which the historical study of art was also rooted in an intention to inform contemporary artistic production.

O território não é um mero cenário onde se projetam os atores sociais. La production des subjectivités en contexte de gouvernance néolibérale

Neoliberal governance and its structures, and dispositifs, are at the core of contemporary debates in the human sciences. David Harvey (2006) considers neoliberalism a theory that places individual freedom as the final goal of all civilisations. Private property rights, free markets and liberal democracy are the means through which individual freedom is best protected and society flourishes, according to neo-liberal views. The primary role of the state is to enforce property rights, while market forces govern the economy. Neo-liberal ideas have shaped global and national policy for over three decades, introducing the primacy of private property and market rationality in all range of public life from education to healthcare, from land governance to environmental protection. Workers' rights in the global North as well as in the South are devalued in favour of individual responsibility.

This conference aims to assemble different studies laying bridges between modern constitutional theories and theology from the perspective of intellectual history. Though modernity of law and politics has been usually accounted in the context of Reformation, the paper-givers’ approaches to the question will not be restricted in any confessional perspective, Protestant or Catholic. For, whatever the word ‘theology’ may have connoted in the time of religious confrontations, theoretical attempts to legitimize human rights and political authority at those days can be regarded as part of the general current of philosophical investigations, in a new manner and with different foci than ever, into the concept of justice with reference to that of God.

La storia ebraica costituisce un capitolo rilevante e particolarmente fecondo dell’attuale dibattito scientifico, sia sul versante storico-economico, che su quello antropologico, culturale e religioso. All’interno di un orizzonte di ricerca molto vasto, che identifica i Jewish studies come vero e proprio campo disciplinare, il convegno si propone di indagare, attraverso un’ottica comparativa, uno specifico argomento: le forme e le funzioni di utilizzo delle doti. L’istituzione dotale si configurava come uno degli elementi strategici nelle forme di organizzazione delle società ebraiche in Antico regime. Il suo studio ravvicinato e comparato consente, pertanto, di gettare una luce su molteplici aspetti.

Pseudo-traduction : enjeux métafictionnels

Throughout literary history authors have presented their texts as translations of an imaginary original rather than as original texts of their own making. Yet, as a phenomenon that has taken on a wide variety of forms, pseudotranslation has persistently occupied a marginal position in both literary scholarship and translation studies, and still today begs more systematic study. As simulacrums, they provide a unique mode of representing and/or criticizing prevailing literary practices, and it is this metafictional dimension of pseudotranslations that we aim to address in this special issue. Since pseudotranslation is an essentially transcultural phenomenon that presupposes a (imaginary) cultural transfer, the editors wish to include case studies from a wide variety of cultural and historical backgrounds.

Migrants in Global Metropolises

Séminaire de recherche et doctoral MAGMET

L'objectif de ce séminaire consiste à articuler transformations urbaines, migration et mondialisation pour mieux comprendre la fabrication des villes-mondes plurielles, marquées par de très forts taux d’immigration et de part de population étrangère. Partant des pratiques et des représentations des différents acteurs sociaux, économiques et politiques qui produisent et vivent dans ces villes, il s’intéresse aux modalités d’incarnation socio-spatiales de la diversité, ainsi qu’à sa gestion. En pensant simultanément les connexions et les ancrages, en jouant systématiquement sur l’articulation des échelles, l’enjeu du séminaire est d’élaborer un cadre analytique théorique comparatif afin de réfléchir aux modes de transformation des métropoles plurielles, engagées dans des dynamiques de mondialisation, en fonction de leur insertion dans les réseaux globalisés, de leur taille démographique et de leurs héritages et contextes politiques.

On Homophonic Translation

Depuis une cinquantaine d’années, la traduction homophonique (homophonic translation, sound translation, Oberflächenübersetzung) a fait son entrée dans le champ littéraire international, où elle est pratiquée par un nombre croissant d’écrivains, aux États-Unis, en Allemagne, en France et au-delà. À la suite de quelques pionniers tels que Louis Zukofsky, Ernst Jandl ou les membres du groupe Oulipo, ce genre hétérodoxe, entre traduction et création, s’est largement diffusé sur le plan international, jusqu’à faire partie des exercices proposés aux étudiants dans les cours de creative writing. Jugée par d’aucuns comme une pratique inacceptable, illégitime voire peu éthique, cette approche de la traduction occupe néanmoins aujourd’hui une place essentielle au sein des formes littéraires expérimentales, en particulier dans le domaine de la poésie.

L’héraldique dans les salles d’apparat

Vers une typologie des programmes héraldiques dans les lieux d’autoreprésentation

Soit dans les palais royaux et princiers, les châteaux nobles, les résidences patriciennes, les hôtels de ville ou les chapitres de cathédrales, maintes salles d’apparat du Moyen Âge et de l’Époque moderne sont munies de programmes héraldiques. Alors même qu’ils font partie intégrante de l’arrangement de ces salles, ceux-ci ont été cependant peu étudiés jusqu’ici. Ce workshop a pour objectif de proposer une première vue d’ensemble de ces programmes héraldiques des salles d’apparat par travers le Moyen Âge et l’Époque moderne en Europe et d’en proposer une première typologie.
