Decolonial Comparative Law and the Informal/Formal Economy
In May 2027, the DeCoLa programme at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law will host the fourth edition of its Decolonial Comparative Law Workshop series in Cameroon. Organised in partnership with the Fondation Afric’Avenir, this edition seeks to rethink the divide between the formal and informal economy through a decolonial comparative legal approach. It also aims to contribute to the consolidation of a decolonial comparative law community across the African continent and beyond.

The purpose of The International Congress on Desert Economy – ENCG, Dakhla city, is to be an interdisciplinary scientific research platform on the desert, arid lands, and the Sahara economy, management, and development, in order to contribute effectively to the good governance and in the sustainable development of arid lands worldwide, by attracting and promoting investment opportunities in the Sahara and deserts, and by stimulating meetings between all stakeholders on a global scale. This seventh edition will also be devoted to addressing general issues on the desert (Sahara) economy management and its sustainable development.

Ce colloque constituera un espace de réflexion autour du positionnement de l’animation socioculturelle par rapport aux défis internationaux et mondiaux et de repenser les rôles, les pratiques et les enjeux, il sera aussi une occasion de promouvoir l’animation socioculturelle qui devrait évoluer vers l’affirmation d’une nouvelle convergence visant, par ses modes et ses méthodes d’interventions, la concrétisation des objectifs du développement durable tels que la citoyenneté la dignité et la réduction des inégalités sociales dans leurs différentes facettes, mais aussi être un levier de concrétisation et d’expérimentation de l’efficacité des objectifs du développement durable.

This call is devoted to the means of disseminating and constructing history, from writing on temples to the digital age. This issue explores how the means of disseminating information have influenced, through the ages, the way history is told, transmitted and interpreted. By combining historical approaches with information and communication sciences, this issue aims to analyse the interactions between communication and historical dimensions across all historical periods, from the earliest times to the present era. This thematic issue seeks to examine the dialectic between mediums of dissemination and the construction of history, highlighting the continuities and ruptures between eras.

L’objet de ce colloque international est de brosser un tableau qui se veut un rétrospectif général des sciences sociales et humaines, restituant et situant la question migratoire maghrébine et nord-africaine dans son contexte général en rapport avec la dimension européenne qui reste incontournable. Il est important d’actualiser les données concernant notre sujet en fonction des mutations géopolitiques récentes dans le monde contemporain et notamment dans la région maghrébine, pour pouvoir proposer des recommandations, des préconisations, et des pistes de réflexions cohérentes, pouvant faciliter les prises de décisions en termes de politiques publiques.

Ce colloque tente de mettre en lumière de nouvelles lectures relatives au phénomène migratoire en Afrique, ses enjeux économique, socioculturel et politique en s’appuyant sur l'analyse des médias, la littérature, les documents historiques, le cinéma…. L’objectif est d’interroger la question migratoire dans toute sa complexité, ainsi que la vulnérabilité de la personne migrante, eu égard à sa stigmatisation et aux différentes visions dévalorisantes et/ou valorisantes à son sujet, des discours et des images qui demeurent polémiques et pourraient engendrer des dérapages et des glissements sémantiques, constituant ainsi l’objet d’étude de chercheurs appartenant à différents champs disciplinaires.

This congress is an interdisciplinary scientific research platform on the desert, arid lands, and the Sahara (hot drylands, hyperarid or semi-arid regions, oasis and remote rural areas) economy, management, and development, in order to contribute effectively to the good governance and in the sustainable development of arid lands worldwide, by stimulating meetings between all stakeholders on a global scale, with a view to fostering dialog, partnership, and cooperation among desert countries worldwide: Africa and the Gulf States (the MENA and the Sahel...), the United States of America, Australia, China, India, South America..., and creating a conducive environment to the exchange of experiences, expertise, trainings, educational practices and innovation, around themes related to the desert economy and to the arid lands management.

The ultimate purpose of the International Congress on Desert Economy – Dakhla, is to be a scientific and multidisciplinary platform on desert and Sahara economy development, in order to contribute effectively to the good governance and in the sustainable development of desert regions, by stimulating meetings between all stakeholders on a global scale, with a view to fostering cooperation and partnership, among (Sahara) desert countries (Africa, the Gulf States, the United States of America, China, Australia...), with the aim of creating a conducive environment to the exchange of experiences, expertise and innovation, around themes related to desert and Sahara economy development, such as: Tourism and travel industry, agriculture, renewable energy, raw materials, transportation and logistics, sea and ocean economy, technology and innovation, entertainment and sport economy, cultural and intangible heritage, nature and environment.
