Losing, Retaining, Reclaiming the Citizenship of the Former Colonial Power
Comparative Perspectives from 1945 to the Present
Le colloque « Perdre, conserver, retrouver la nationalité de l’ancienne puissance coloniale » vise à établir un état des lieux des études existantes et à susciter de nouvelles recherches à propos des recompositions des liens de nationalité dans les anciennes puissances coloniales après les indépendances. En s’appuyant sur des perspectives disciplinaires diverses (histoire, science politique, sociologie, droit…), il permettra également d’examiner les méthodes et les sources disponibles. Cet événement a aussi vocation à constituer un réseau international de chercheuses et de chercheurs intéressé·es par les transformations des liens de nationalité en relation avec les histoires coloniales et postcoloniales, en vue de futures recherches comparatistes et de collaborations internationales.

Call for papers - Early modern
Ces journées d’études sont consacrées à la question du beau dans la peinture produite dans les territoires de la Couronne d’Espagne (Espagne actuelle, mais également Sicile, Naples, Milan, Pays-Bas du Sud, Artois, Franche-Comté, ainsi que les territoires américains et philippins) du XVIe siècle au début du XIXe siècle. Elles visent à interroger à la fois la manière dont s’est forgé un idéal dans la peinture produite dans ces territoires, souvent associée dans l’historiographie à un canon « réaliste » ou « naturaliste », avec toutes les problématiques que ces termes impliquent, et la manière dont ce canon a été perçu et reçu, voire adapté, transformé aux différentes périodes. Qu’est-ce qui était considéré comme beau dans la peinture des territoires sous domination espagnole pendant les temps modernes ? Quel était l’idéal esthétique du peintre et du spectateur ? Le Beau était-il vraiment le premier objectif des peintres ?

Revue « Études en didactique des langues » (Edl)
Les enseignant·es ont d’abord eu pour mission de transmettre des connaissances en langues. Le CECRL (2001) a bien explicité le concept de compétences linguistiques. Les différentes approches depuis les années 1970 ont contribué à transformer le rôle des enseignant·es. On est passé du stade de la transmission de savoirs au développement des compétences opérationnelles et comportementales chez les apprenant·es. Les enseignant·es de langues et cultures se situeraient alors à la croisée des chemins : entre savoir, savoir-faire et savoir-être, ayant ainsi la possibilité de faire s’entrecroiser les compétences. Dans ce numéro de la revue Études en didactique des langues (EDL), nous souhaitons explorer la notion de savoir-être, chez les enseignant·es comme chez les apprenant·es.

Tintinnabula, bells et small bells
News of campanology, from Antiquity to the XXIth century
A flagship object of Western Christian culture and the soundscapes covered by Alain Corbin in his work on 19th century France, the bell has had a multifaceted and complex history, but always very rich. Sound object or musical instrument, it is also a highly identity and symbolic object whose tinkling or ringing echoes a variety of social and political constructions. If this conference proposes to concentrate its attention on the object “bell”, understood in the broadest possible sense in order to grasp this complexity of meaning, it also chooses to see it from a totally diachronic angle, without chronological restriction, geographical or cultural.

Revue « Histoire, médecine et santé »
La revue semestrielle Histoire, médecine et santé lance un appel à contributions pour son second numéro de l’année 2026. Il sera consacré à un dossier thématique intitulé « éprouver son corps, éprouver son âme » dans une perspective sociale et culturelle, en adéquation avec les orientations scientifiques de la revue. Nous entendons par « éprouver » l’idée de soumettre à l’expérience le corps et l’âme dans une approche qui transcende la notion de souffrance et de douleur et qui vise l’appropriation ou la réappropriation de soi. Ce numéro a donc pour ambition de s’intéresser à la relation qui s’instaure entre corps et âme en sortant du clivage entre santé physique et santé mentale.

The aim of the workshop is to study the perception of hazards and the understanding of natural risk in ancient and medieval Europe. This multidisciplinary project will bring together the skills of archaeologists, geoarchaeologists, environmental historians and specialists in cartography and landscapes. The aim is to develop and cross-fertilise methodological approaches based on case studies.

This special issue of the Revue internationale des études du développement aims to bring together articles examining the way in which individuals and organizations have been rethinking (or not) their risk management methods to better face the challenges brought about by climate change. To combine perspectives and methods, this call for papers invites the submission of work falling within the scope of the four lines of inquir: 1/ Climate challenges and informal risk management strategies: what is the nature of the reconfigurations taking place? 2/ Climate challenges and formal protection tools: what responses do formal organizations and markets provide? 3/ Informal strategies and formal tools: how do they interact? What benefits do they provide? 4/ Measures, perceptions, and representations.

Space and scale in missionary agency (1880-1920)
The revival of the Christian faith in the European and North American continents (GreatAwakenings – the Higher Life Movement) during an age of technical and technological innovations inmeans of transportation and communication prompted many Protestant and Catholic missionaries, withthe support of their respective churches, to sail to foreign lands for religious proselytizing. Evangelicalmissionaries and their sending organizations have been, to varying degrees, major actors of social andcultural mutations among the people and societies they worked with. To fully comprehend the impactof European and North American evangelical missions at the turn of the twentieth century, we mustnot only consider missionaries’ social and religious agency at the local level, but also develop thediscussion to the regional, national, and transnational levels.

La Communauté économique des États de l’Afrique centrale (CEEAC), en tant qu'organisation régionale, joue un rôle crucial dans la gestion et la résolution de ces enjeux. Cette première édition de la biennale internationale pluridisciplinaire du GERIAC vise à analyser les défis actuels et futurs auxquels la CEEAC est confrontée dans sa mission de maintien de la paix et de la sécurité dans la région.

Les Cahiers de Littérature Orale, revue française de référence dans ce champ de recherche, lance un appel à contributions pour un numéro portant sur le slam, qui vise à explorer les évolutions de ce genre. Il s’agit de dessiner les diverses formes que le slam adopte à travers le monde, s’ancrant dans des espaces culturels et s’hybridant avec des traditions orales qui lui préexistent. Dans la perspective de ce volume, nous encourageons une approche internationale et interdisciplinaire croisant les voix de chercheurs·ses en anthropologie, stylistique, linguistique et sociolinguistique, ethnomusicologie et cantologie, littérature, arts et histoire.

Health and well-being of the elderly in africa: challenges and prospects for solution
Revue « Espace Territoires Sociétés et Santé » n°12 – 2024
La population Africaine est certes jeune (plus de 50 % de la population est âgée de moins de 18 ans), mais elle compte une part non moins négligeable de personnes du troisième âge (60 ans ou plus) qui représente environ 5 % de la population. L’intérêt du présent numéro thématique est de questionner l’interaction entre la santé et le bien-être des populations du troisième âge dans les pays d’Afrique enclins depuis ces dernières décennies à cette problématique. Il serait réducteur d’étudier la santé et le bien-être des personnes du troisième âge sous le prisme d’une seule discipline; la transdisciplinarité est nécessaire avec une réflexion globale intégrant l’impact de l’environnement et du parcours de vie sur la santé des individus.

Revue « Espace Territoires Sociétés et Santé » n°13 – décembre 2024
Les réflexions proposées à partir de la thématique « Environnement de travail et santé en Afrique », doivent nous permettre de réfléchir sur les moyens d’améliorer l’environnement et la sécurité au travail et le bien-être des travailleurs en Afrique. L’intérêt du présent numéro thématique est de questionner l’interaction entre l’environnement de travail et la santé des travailleurs en Afrique. Si la recherche d’un complet bien-être doit être intégrée aux politiques de santé, une approche décloisonnée de la santé au travail nécessite un intérêt particulier face à l’environnement et aux conditions de travail, mais également dans tous les domaines de l’existence. La transdisciplinarité est nécessaire avec une réflexion globale intégrant l’impact de l’environnement sur la santé des individus.

“TRANS-” Journal
The journal of general and comparative literature “TRANS-” invites its contributors to enrich the ongoing reflection on hybridity following these lines of investigation. Derived from the field of biology, where it refers to “the crossing of two different species or genera to give rise to specimens that combine, to a greater or lesser degree, specific characteristics of both parents” (Encyclopaedia Universalis), the notion of hybridisation, when applied to literature, elicits questions of a poetic, stylistic, linguistic, and philosophical nature. It plays a key role in the discussions that have been held over the past few years on the dynamics of literary genres, and has come to be used in particular to describe a recent literary production, mainly narrative, of a documentary or fictional nature, whose heterogeneity is recognised by the public and may even contribute to a certain “seduction” of this mode.

IFEA’s annual scientific journal dedicated to archaeology, Anatolia Antiqua, covers a wide range of disciplines from fieldwork to various themes related to cultural heritage including archaeometry and materials science. The journal is composed of two parts; the first part being devoted to scientific articles and the second part, namely the “Chronicles of archaeological works in Turkey”, including reports of all archaeological excavations and studies in Turkey, encompassing a chronological span from prehistory up to the modern period.

Since the areas of investigation are expansive, Japan is granted a primary place as the pivotal axis for the eastern world. This does exclude Persia, India or China. Following the conferences devoted to US network series produced from the 1950s to the 1970s (Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier, May 2018), during the 1980s (UPVM, February 2019) or the 1990s (UPVM, February 2020), this conference will focus on network series of the following decade: 2000-2010. Our aim is to give center stage to series that have often been either neglected or analyzed through restricted methodological approaches, and to contribute to re-historicizing the study of television series by refusing to focus solely on the hyper-contemporary series currently being aired.
