  Ce colloque international est consacré aux emplois et remplois du manuscrit médiéval latin dans l’Italie méridionale, considérée comme lieu de production, passage et circulation ultérieure des livres. Par le biais d’une approche interdisciplinaire, qui allie la codicologie, la paléographie, la philologie, l’histoire de l’art et des bibliothèques, les communications porteront sur les paratextes des livres médiévaux, cherchant aussi à déchiffrer l’histoire des annotateurs, en mobilisant des méthodes variées, exploratoires et numériques.

  The transition to the Immersive Didactics

  From educational solutions during the confinement of Covid-19 to the teaching in the metaverse

  Didactics, like any other fields of science, has embarked on a process of transformation that has been the product of the fourth industrial revolution. It has delivered most educational programmes to the student in an interactive way, ostensibly taking a cursive form in its relations with users regardless of the diversity of their educational field, while hiding a very complex form at the level of programming. We aim, through this international conference, to question the transition observed by the didactics of teaching, regardless of its scientific, literary or artistic field, to provide teacher-interactive lessons, as limiting the presentation of lessons to “PowerPoint” slides or PDF files uploaded on teaching platforms, no longer meets the requirements of the learner.

  The Book is a phenomenon that combines the fascination of its manifestations of yesteryear to the current debates and practices that announce future paths and dilemmas. We propose in this call an exercise that recovers the procedures and techniques that gained body to welcome another invention, that of writing, which inscribes the history of copyists, printing typographers who moved between cities and countries in search of business, that of their emergence in monasteries, courts, universities, binder workshops and typographies, that of street vendors and that of the production and marketing circuits.

  A Transatlantic Mediterranean?

  Circulations, influences and civilian and military cooperation between the United States and Southern European and Turkish spaces (1945-1980's)

  The objective of this meeting is to contribute to a transnational and decompartmentalized history of the circulations between Mediterranean Europe and the United States between 1945 and the 1980s, which will make it possible to apprehend these relations from a global point of view and to analyze the way in which these links were able to generate circulations of influence between Mediterranean countries. The aim is to combine diplomatic approaches with the socio-history of these actors and with the analysis of the circulation of knowledge and modes of governmentality, by placing Atlantic military issues and policies in the wider context of intellectual mobility and cross-practices. The European and Turkish Mediterranean is understood here in a broad and political sense, from Portugal to the confines of the Anatolian peninsula. Similarly, the ambition is to see how these relations between Mediterranean Europe and the Atlantic space may have had effects on the Southern and Eastern shores of the Mediterranean Sea, whether during or after the period of colonial domination.

  The publication of critical editions and their use for scientific purposes—two essential realities for research in the humanities—have transformed considerably in step with the digital revolutions of our time. With the adoption of the Open Science principles and their dissemination within the scientific community, the Web has become an indispensable place for the publication and digital exploitation of source texts. All things considered, we are still a long way from exploiting the full potential of Web 3.0 (the Web of data). This issue of Methodos aims to explore new methodologies, technologies, standards, data models, computational tools and applications that allow the integration of major aspects of Web 3.0 into digital editions, including: the Semantic Web, Artificial Intelligence, automatic natural language processing, and visualization or graphical representation of data.

  Verbum et Lingua: Didáctica, Lengua y Cultura is an academic journal published by the Modern Languages Department of the University of Guadalajara’s Centro Universitario de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades. It is a specialized publication that highlights linguistic, didactic and cultural issues and perspectives. This journal especially responds to the needs of professionals in Mexico. It is published every six months: January-June and July-December. The journal welcomes articles, essays, interviews and book reviews in five languages: Spanish, English, French, German and Italian. At the same time, it also considers contributions submitted in other languages. On this occasion, we extend an open call for articles for Journal issue 21 and invite researchers and specialists in didactics, linguistics and cultural studies to submit their contributions (including research-based reflections articles or essays, as well as interviews and book reviews).

  Metropolitan and suburban cities: Past, present and future

  With the urban development that the world has witnessed since the late nineteenth century in parallel with the industrial development, and the increase in the movement of migration and displacement towards the major industrial cities around the world, the latter became crowded with population and expanded form contemporary metropolises, absorbing most of the jobs and major administrative, social and economic spaces. This caused a serious economic, social and development confusion for the countries experiencing the phenomenon, and a clear regional disparity between its depths and peripheries and between its cities and countryside. Its homogeneous balance was disturbed, and it turned into a sweeping polar cities because of the small cities and villages around it, with its acquired social and economic weight, thus affecting the local, regional and even the international geopolitical and geo-economics balances.

  L’image photographique est à la fois une technique et un langage. Ce langage possède sa propre syntaxe, son vocabulaire et ses figures de style. À l’instar du langage parlé, celui de la photographie a bien évolué dans le temps puisque de simple instantané de la réalité (tel l’album familial), il en est devenu le miroir, puis l’expression d’une certaine modernité, volant enfin de ses propres ailes. Loin des influences de la peinture, avec le mouvement pictorialiste, il a développé ses propres codes herméneutiques de saisie et de compréhension du monde. On propose aux contributeurs de réfléchir sur les axes suivants : photographie et réel, photographie et sublimation du réel, spécificité d’une œuvre photographique, photographie et numérique, photographie et l’art contemporain, photographie et modernité.
