Port governance: power, interests, representations
Scientific interest in the theme of port governance has arisen with a renewed political interest in the maritime area (but also river) in France in recent years. It follows in particular the tabling of a Bill on the governance and performance of French seaports and its adoption at first reading by the senatorial assembly on December 8, 2020, as well as the presentation of the “Strategy national port ” to the Interministerial Committee for the Sea (CImer) on January 22, 2021 by the French government.

The Antiquity and its receptions
The Summerschool “The Antiquity and its receptions” is open to doctoral and advanced MA students, specializing in history, art history, archaeology, philology, or any other discipline linked with the theme of the reception of Antiquity. It is international in nature and aims to establish a multilingual dialogue (French, Italian and English) between the different methodologies in use in Europe, North America and elsewhere, and thus to promote interdisciplinarity. At the same time, it plans to test these methodologies in the field, in collaboration with heritage institutions such as museums, archaeological sites, archives and libraries in Rome and Tivoli.

Derrida 2021: Biopolitics and deconstruction
Derrida propose une lecture-écriture d’Agamben lisant Foucault. La machine textuelle du séminaire est ici complexifiée par ce double mouvement de lecture-commentaire qui nous fait lire Foucault avec les interprétations que son œuvre aura permises. D’une part la réflexion sur la biopolitique comme marque distinctive de l’exercice et des systèmes politiques contemporains ne fait jamais, chez Foucault, référence à Heidegger, d’où elle provient pourtant. D’autre part et surtout, l’annonce apocalyptique de l’avènement du biopolitique n’est pas partagée par Derrida, comme si elle faisait pendant à l’évangile de la fin de l’histoire par Fukuyama, qu’il avait dénoncé à juste titre dans Spectres de Marx. Vingt ans plus tard, alors qu’une pandémie frappe aujourd’hui mondialement les corps, que l’urgence climatique menace la survie des espèces, que les frontières s’ouvrent et se ferment au gré de conjonctures de plus en plus fluctuantes, le moment est venu de rouvrir le débat biopolitique.

Since its origins, Cinema has made evident the existence of an open dialogue with other forms of art, either by having incorporated them into its own language – given its hybrid particularity, being simultaneously narrative, performative, visual and voiced –, or by having used existing productions as inspiration and having created, from them, new forms of art. Literature has proven to be a fertile ground for inspiration. Not by chance, great works that mark the beginning of the cinematographic trajectory were adaptations of novelistic or theatrical literary works. We propose for the issue 43 of Journal Caderno de Letras a dossier on all the potentialities of such dialogue involving Fantastic literary and audiovisual productions, whether based on adaptations (in both directions) or on the direct or indirect presence of Literature in audiovisual media or of audiovisual productions in literary texts.

Historical destinies as the foundation of legitimacy
The biographical genre in pop cultural studies
The biographical genre has place of pride in Hollywood and in popular culture in general, understandably so: it brings together the pseudo-legitimacy of the period film and the widespread appetite for tales of remarkable destinies. Biographies can be found in films and series of course, and in traditional or graphic novels , but also in music , stage musicals , and even video game.Rewriting and romanticizing are cornerstones of the genre. They are a way for biographical fictions to turn historical facts into narratives that will be both accessible to the general public and bankable. This raises the question: who is pictured and, to some extent, mythologized, in biographical fiction? The issue of the lack of representation also comes to mind: are there any categories of people whose biographies are not fictionalized, or have only become an object of fiction recently?

Intitulé « Les autobiographies militantes et politiques aux États-Unis. Stratégies de légitimation et postures d’autorité », cet atelier interroge la façon dont les récits autobiographiques, qu’il s’agisse d’ouvrages publiés sous la forme d’autobiographies à proprement parler, de mémoires, de témoignages, de journaux, ou de textes mis en ligne, permettent à leur auteur·rice d’asseoir ou de consolider une légitimité, voire de rétablir une autorité mise à mal, que cela soit dans l’espace des mouvements sociaux ou dans la sphère politique institutionnalisée, aux États-Unis.

Spirituality of the French Classical Period through the Prism of the 19th Century
La journée d’étude explorera les métamorphoses ou la continuité au XIXe siècle de la spiritualité des XVIIe et XVIIIe siècles dans la France et ses colonies. Les intervenant·e·s seront notamment invité·e·s à questionner les transformations des pratiques religieuses héritées des siècles anciens, à travers la réédition de textes spirituels ou l’évolution architecturale et matérielle des lieux et objets de culte. Ils s’intéresseront notamment à l’influence du contexte historique (du Concordat à l’après 1870) sur la réactualisation et/ou la récupération idéologique des textes et des pratiques religieuses, dans une perspective qui englobe aussi bien l’histoire de l’Église que l’histoire du livre ou l’histoire des idées.

The Colloquium focuses primarily on mythography, but contributions on the presence of mythographic materials in others types of scholarly literatura are included.

La mesure du travail à l’échelle des empires
Les communications attendues pour ce colloque mettront en lumière les transformations du travail, ses conditions, sa mesure, la manière dont il est compté, pris en compte, classé et encadré, dans différentes configurations impériales et coloniales. Elles correspondront chacune à une période et une aire géographique différente de la période post-esclavagiste. La comparaison de ces situations vise à acquérir à une connaissance plus fine de la main d’œuvre en situation coloniale, ressource essentielle du développement des empires (coloniaux). Elle conduira à une clarification des enjeux de l’organisation et de la mobilisation du travail, et à une meilleure compréhension des tensions qui les traversent, des luttes et des consensus qu’elles génèrent dans des circonstances historiques et géographiques différentes.

L’association des doctorants du centre d’études supérieures de la Renaissance de Tours organise les cinquièmes rencontres doctorales pluridisciplinaires, centrées cette année autour du sujet « Marchander, transiger, échanger : le phénomène contractuel dans la première modernité (XVe-XVIe siècles) ». Issues in contemporary Psy⋅LGBTQIA+ research and clinics
Encore en 2021, il reste important d’ouvrir une réflexion sur la spécificité de la clinique LGBTQIA+ (personnes lesbiennes, gays, bisexuelles, trans, queers, intersexes ou asexuelles incluant d’autres variantes d’identité de genre, de caractéristiques sexuelles, ou d’orientation sexuelle). Le premier numéro portera sur les raisons de la nécessité d’une revue sur ces sujets à notre époque. Cette nécessité s’inscrit dans l’urgence de création d’association, d’entités, de groupe psy⋅dédiés et de leur histoire. Il s’agira de montrer les nécessités, l’urgence de modifier la clinique telle qu’elle se pratiquait en écoutant la spécificité des LGBTQIA+, la particularité de ce travail clinique. Les articles pourront ainsi ouvrir les différents champs de questionnement de la clinique LGBTQIA+, sur son histoire ainsi que son inscription dans l’histoire des mouvements LGBTQIA+, de leurs institutions, entités et ce qu’elle apporte à la pratique en cabinet et en institution, cliniquement et théoriquement.
