  1956-1958 : une époque de révolutions qui changèrent l’Afrique (et le monde)

  The objective of this panel is to compare the various social mobilizations that took place in Africa during the years 1956-1958 and which arguably constitute a historical watershed. The main aim of the panel is not the making of an abstract comparative analysis, but the analysis, based on the testimonial material collected, of how the memory of these events has been structured over time. Moreover, we are interested in understanding what the impacts of these social movements were on the structuring of states and what continuities can be found between the mobilizations of that period and the ary social mobilizations that have shaken the continent in the last ten years, from the ‘Arab Spring’ of 2011 onwards.

  A Revista Anthropológicas aceita artigos para o volume 22, número 2. O tema será "Africa away from Home". Serão publicados textos que tratam de temas do próprio continente africano ou da atual diáspora africana no mundo inteiro no contexto da globalização e de migrações recentes. Não serão aceites textos sobre temas clássicos da antropologia afro-brasileira, da "Africa at home". O prazo para a apresentação de textos é 31 de outubro de 2011.

  Louis-Léger Vauthier ingénieur français au Brésil

  Dans le cadre de l'année de la France au Brésil, l'université de Paris Ouest Nanterre la Défense, l'Université de Rennes 2 et l'Ecole nationale des Ponts et chaussées, organisent en partenariat avec l'Universidade Federal de Pernambuco et la Fundação Joaquim Nabuco, un colloque international interdisciplinaire autour de la figure de Louis-Léger Vauthier, fouriériste, ingénieur des Ponts et chaussées qui vécut au Brésil entre 1840 et 1846.Ses écrits sur le Brésil (journal intime et lettres) publiés par Gilberto Freyre dans les années 1940 sont des documents clefs pour comprendre le Brésil du XIXe siècle.
