  Representing territories

  Call for sessions of Collège international des sciences du territoire (CIST2018)

  After three conferences that have successively sought to define and lay the foundations for territorial sciences (CIST2011 in French), to go beyond disciplinary frontiers and boundaries (CIST2014 in French), namely through interdisciplinary collaboration, and to explore territorial social demand (CIST2016 in French), the 4^th CIST conference is aimed at mobilising the territorial sciences to address the question of representation. The conference’s objective is to use this approach and to determine its contribution to the analysis of territories from a theoretical, methodological and empirical point of view.

  Citizen researches : state of play and prospects

  The first day of a serie about urban contradictions will observe them from the point of view of conflicts, collaborative practices and citizen-oriented researches. Invited speakers will explore the play of power between urban counter-powers, social movements and regulatory attempts by state and transnational bodies. It will be a question of developing paths for citizen research in a collaborative dimension between urban dwellers, universities, laboratories and multi-stakeholder collaboration networks for a critical and pragmatic approach to urban contradictions.

  Manufactured territories, instrumentalised territories

  Dans un contexte économique globalisé mais aussi de décentralisation accentuée, les acteurs des territoires ont intégré une exigence, voire une injonction : leur territoire doit être identifié, lisible et référencé, afin de mieux négocier son positionnement dans la mondialisation. Pour certains territoires, le fort ancrage historique et identitaire dont ils disposent peut-être aisément instrumentalisé pour asseoir les stratégies d’aménagement et de développement économique. Pour d’autres territoires en revanche, la construction d’un référencement découle d’une démarche volontariste d’énonciation et de fabrication initiée et développée par les acteurs institutionnels. Cependant, le territoire doit-il absolument être énoncé, borné et référencé pour s’inscrire dans le marché des lieux ou ne faut-il pas plutôt faire l’éloge de l’imperceptibilité du territoire ?

  Le tourisme constitue un vecteur de la mondialisation permettant d'infiltrer des usages et des pratiques multiples (sociaux, économiques, culturels, managériaux). Les destinations touristiques sont parfois frappées par des évènements qui mettent en péril leur activité touristique. Elles doivent faire face, par exemple, à des risques multiples, potentiels ou réels, à un vieillissement des infrastructures et à une évolution des goûts et pratiques des touristes. L'objectif de ce colloque est de s'intérroger sur la pérennité d'une destination et de comprendre comment une destination peut se transformer pour rester attractive.

  Cette journée d'étude portera sur l’histoire transnationale des relations et échanges franco-britanniques au XVIII^e siècle. Nous aborderons les thèmes des échanges culturels, intellectuels, politiques et économiques entre la France et la Grande-Bretagne, dans le but de dresser un bilan des nouvelles approches historiographiques, tout en tentant de contribuer à l’élargissement de ce champ florissant de recherches. L’atelier sera transnational en pratique aussi : il réunira en effet des spécialistes d’Amérique du Nord et de la Grande Bretagne, ainsi que des historiens français.

  Ce colloque, qui se tiendra à l’Université de Poitiers du 11 au 13 octobre 2017, souhaite aborder la question de la diversité culturelle dans le monde du travail au sens large et dans une perspective comparative et pluridisciplinaire. Cette diversité s'observe en effet dans des domaines professionnels variés : monde de l’entreprise, milieu médical, travail social, enseignement et formation, administrations publiques. Même si beaucoup a été enseigné et écrit à propos d’eux, il reste cependant qu’ils méritent toujours d’être relus et d’attirer l’attention compte tenu de la richesse du corpus scientifique qu’ils ont élaboré et qui sont toujours d’un grand intérêt pour l’Afrique contemporaine. Lus entre les lignes, leurs travaux ne peuvent-ils pas inspirer et servir à l’élaboration d’un modèle de développement plus adapté aux réalités africaines ?

  Le développement de la maquette numérique dans l’industrie et notamment dans le secteur de l’aéronautique ou de l’automobile a déjà été souligné et analysé à plusieurs reprises. Ces études ont notamment montré la transformation des professionnalités (nouvelles compétences, tensions dans les évolutions des rapports inter-professionnels, etc.), la modification des pratiques et des formes d’organisation (méthodes de coordination, de gestion, pratiques de planification, d’écritures et de mises en traces de l’activité accrues). En somme, la maquette numérique est considérée comme un agent à part entière dans l’évolution des formes organisationnelles.
