Charles C. Eldredge prize 2017
The Smithsonian American Art Museum is now accepting nominations for the 2017 Charles C. Eldredge Prize. Single-author books devoted to any aspect of the visual arts of the United States and published in the three previous calendar years are eligible. To nominate a book, send a letter (not to exceed one page in length) explaining the work’s significance to the field of American art history and discussing the quality of the author’s scholarship and methodology. Nominations by authors or publishers for their own books will not be considered.

Grâce au financement des Instituts de recherche en santé du Canada (IRSC, 2013-2016) et la Chaire de recherche sur la francophonie canadienne en santé, notre équipe de recherche entend participer à une lecture pancanadienne de l’histoire de la santé mentale au Canada en s’intéressant spécifiquement au contexte de désinstitutionnalisation et de déhospitalisation qui a marqué l’Ontario et le Québec dans la seconde moitié du XXe siècle. Considérant qu’un Canadien sur neuf hospitalisés pour maladie mentale retournera à l’urgence moins d’un mois après sa sortie d’hôpital, il nous intéresse de documenter les itinéraires « transinstitutionnels » des personnes souffrant de troubles psychiques.

Offre de contrat post-doctoral dans le cadre du programme de recherche « Repenser le droit à la ville depuis les villes du Sud – regards croisés Afrique subsaharienne / Amérique latine (DALVAA) » de l’UMR CESSMA (UMR 245/ Paris Diderot), financé par la ville de Paris (janvier 2014-janvier 2018). Ce programme de recherche s’inscrit dans la lignée de travaux récents sur la justice spatiale en études urbaines. Il vise à renouveler les débats actuels, très prolifiques, sur le droit à la ville (DALV) en reconsidérant cette notion à partir du Sud et des villes postcoloniales.
