  (De)constructing sociabilities through the optic of their spatialised manifestations in the rural/urban interface

  Ce séminaire est organisé par les étudiant-e-s du master 2 DYSATER (Dynamiques sociales et aménagement des territoires) et DYSOTE (Dynamiques sociales et territoires) de l'université Rennes 2, dans la poursuite des réflexions menées dans le cadre du cours « Ruralité et urbanité », animé par Y. Le Caro (maitre de conférences de géographie et aménagement des espaces ruraux à l'université Rennes 2). Ce séminaire fait suite aux recherches réalisées dans le cadre de cet enseignement et qui porteront sur : le questionnement des sociabilités par leurs manifestations spatialisées à travers une étude sur les lieux de sociabilités (comme lieu de socialisation et de confrontation des modes d’habiter) d’une part, et par le biais d’une entrée thématique que représente la promenade du chien, vecteur ou non de sociabilités dans l’espace périurbain, d’autre part.

  Cross-borders - practices and figures

  Ce sont les aspects sociaux (emploi, configurations familiales), logistiques (transports…) et médiatiques (presse / télévision / internet) du transfrontalier comme ses expressions culturelles qui nous intéresseront particulièrement. En outre, nous voudrions confronter le transfrontalier à d’autres notions, comme le « transgénérique », le « transculturel », le « transmédial », etc. Sans compter que notre réflexion sera méthodologique : le transfrontalier étant un concept en plein développement, il nous faudra nous demander quels problèmes il pose aux différentes disciplines en sciences humaines et sociales.

  Cahiers d’Outre-Mer n°277

  This special issue of Cahiers d'Outre-Mer proposes to question the articulation between the development of the digital environment and local reconfigurations of cultural industries in the Global South. It aims at better understanding how new technologies have transformed the conditions and modes of creation, production, distribution / dissemination of cultural content (film, music, visual arts, performing arts, literature, etc.) over the past decades in South countries. It also seeks to comprehend the effects on different forms of local innovation, as well as social and territorial asymmetries. Original contributions based on recent fieldworks with a particular attention to spatial and socio-anthropological dimensions are welcome.

A partir de deux recherches portant sur des contextes différents nous aborderons l’exercice concret de cette migration en lien avec l’activité de travail. La migration se joue entre pays pour les musiciens de musique classique de l’Europe de l’est vers le Brésil. Elle se joue plus comme une circulation au sein de réseaux plus locaux à Madagascar pour les musiciens aux répertoires locaux ethniques mais aussi à dimension internationale.

  Criticism and utopia

  Après « L’épreuve des sens » en 2016, puis « L’esprit des lieux » au début de cette année, le Groupe d’histoire des forêts françaises entend clôturer sa trilogie « Forêt, arts et culture » en scrutant les critiques et utopies exprimées par les ambiances et sensibilités forestières. Les séances précédentes ont permis de baliser la diversité de mise en scène de la forêt dans des sociétés très diverses et de mettre en évidence les enjeux cachés de sa présence dans une œuvre. Il s’agit cette fois de révéler les mutations sociétales et les engagements politiques qui en font l’arrière-plan.

  Knowledge, power and duties within a finite planet

  The advent of the Anthropocene concept and Earth system sciences – putting forward upscaled temporalities in the public sphere, the dramatization of warnings on planetary limits and boundaries and on the human impacts of climate change – provide a challenging context for the humanities and social sciences. Cropping up these developments and at the crossroad of world and connected histories, environmental history, human geography and social, political and legal studies, the conference will examine how ideas of a global, unified and limited earth played a role in human reflexivity, and how the “right use” of the Earth as a whole has become, and is increasingly becoming, an object of knowledge making and government practices.
