  Ce dossier de la Revue d’anthropologie des connaissances trouve son origine dans le développement, en France, de nombreux domaines émergents de recherche obéissant à une labellisation par leur objet, à l’instar des labels et formes de structuration scientifique anglo-saxonne autour des « studies ». Il vise à documenter les processus particuliers de formation des domaines d’études et des communautés scientifiques qui s’en revendiquent, et à interroger leurs différences et/ou similitudes avec les modalités de formation plus classique des champs scientifiques largement documentées par la littérature de sociologie et d’histoire de la connaissance scientifique.

  Accidents and the role of the State in the 20th century

  In the workshop on "Accidents and the role of the state" we want to discuss, from a historical perspective, the changing relationship between accidents and the modern state during the 20^th century. Strasbourg)-FRIAS (Freiburg) joint research project on military accidents in France and Germany in the twentieth century. We are therefore especially interested in proposals that deal with the role of the military. However, relevant topics for the workshop could, of course, also come from the realm of the histories of technology, of environment, of medicine, or of the rise of the modern state. We are interested both in presentations of case studies as well as in more conceptual approaches on the topic. Contributions that deal with accidents in German and French history are highly welcome. However, the call is by no means limited to historians of France or Germany.

  Semantic Web for Scientific Heritage

  SW4SH 2016: Second International Workshop

  Classicists and historians are interested in developing textual databases, in order to gather and explore large amounts of primary source materials. For a long time, they mainly focused on text digitization and markup. They only recently decided to try to explore the possibility of transferring some analytical processes they previously thought incompatible with automation to knowledge engineering systems, thus taking advantage of the growing set of tools and techniques based on the languages and standards of the semantic Web, such as linked data, ontologies, and automated reasoning. SW4SH 2016 aims to provide a leading international and interdisciplinary forum for disseminating the latest research in the field of Semantic Web for the preservation and exploitation of our scientific heritage, the study of the history of ideas and their transmission.

  La huitième édition des Journées jeunes chercheurs en sciences humaines et arts (2L2S) se tiendra à Nancy les 20 et 21 octobre 2016. Nous proposons cette année un questionnement sur « Les frontières dans tous leurs états » à travers cinq axes thématiques : les frontières spatiales ; les frontières culturelles ; les frontières de l’humain ; les frontières magiques, religieuses et scientifiques ; les frontières du travail. Dans une dynamique interdisciplinaire, toutes les disciplines sont invitées à participer afin de proposer un échange scientifique autour de cet objet transversal. Afin d’enrichir nos échanges avec des chercheurs d’autres pays, nous diffuserons prochainement un appel à communications en version anglaise.

  The International Festival of African psychology is a huge scientific and cultural interdisciplinary event. This annual activity will be held on this topic: how specific culture and knowledge shape the psychology of African descendants. The  aim of this festival is to advocate and bring awareness to the population, so that this approach could be integrated in a global theoretical frame when it comes to conceptualize psychological phenomenon and mental cares. This festival is brought to you by SITWOMAFRIKA, a Research Institute on Trauma Related to Slavery Experience & African Psychology in collaboration with the Institute of Research  and African Studies in Haiti at the State University of Haiti (IERAH/ISERSS), and the Psychosocial Department at « Zanmi Lasante »/Partners in Health. This year, we will organize a series of three scientific, artistic, and cultural days activities  from May 27 to 29 to shed light and elaborate on today psychological and psychopathological effect of trauma related to past slavery . As a consequence of this event, a discipline of psychology rooted in African philosophy or African centered would be able to (re) emerged.

Therefore the Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage (KIK-IRPA, Brussels) is organizing a two-day workshop on the scientific study of relics. During this meeting we want to give analytical scientists, textile specialists, conservators, anthropologists, historical researchers, people involved in 3D reconstruction as well as radiocarbon dating specialists a forum to exchange ideas about relics.

  40 ans de sciences sociales avec Espacestemps.

  La « revue indisciplinaire de sciences sociales » EspacesTemps a eu quarante ans en octobre 2015. Cette publication, née à l’École normale supérieure de Cachan, a connu une version imprimée payante (Les Cahiers, 1975-2004), d’abord relayée puis remplacée par une version en ligne gratuite (EspacesTemps.net, depuis 2002). C’est l’occasion de tenter un bilan systématique de la production éditoriale d’EspacesTemps, en profitant de l’auto-analyse de membres des comités de rédaction qui se sont succédé et d’une petite partie des nombreux auteurs qui ont publié dans la revue.

  Ces journées d’étude ambitionnent de se pencher sur le concept d’intelligence énergétique, sur les contextes dans lesquels il s’est développé, mais aussi sur les divers acteurs publics comme privés et les différents territoires de cette intelligence énergétique. Elles seront donc l’occasion d’établir des liens avec d’autres notions telles que la transition, la sobriété, l’efficacité, la mixité, la solidarité énergétiques… En outre, les manières dont le droit appréhende, favorise ou au contraire se heurte à cette notion d’intelligence énergétique seront également envisagées, afin notamment de mettre en lumière les divers obstacles ou verrous juridiques qu’il conviendra de dépasser à l’avenir.

  Les approches mixtes (quantitative et qualitative) d’un même matériau ont rarement fait l’objet de réflexions méthodologiques – à l’exception, notamment, de Claire Lemercier et Claire Zalc (2008) et Joanie Cayouette-Remblière (2011) – alors même qu’elles se sont multipliées ces dernières années. De façon concrète, qu’il s’agisse de coder des dossiers, des annuaires, des notes d’observation, des curriculum vitae ou encore des journaux intimes – pour ne citer que quelques-uns de ces récents travaux – l’approche à la fois ethnographique et statistique d’un même matériau soulève de nouvelles questions qu'il s'agira d'aborder au cours de cette journée d'étude.

  L'archéologie, l'histoire de l'architecture, l'histoire du droit, l'ingénierie, la mécanique, la littérature... seront confrontées dans leurs méthodes et leurs résultats. De même, praticiens de la construction et chercheurs pourront toujours croiser leurs approches. Si les thématiques traditionnelles à l'histoire de la construction seront bien présentes, des sujets peu évoqués dans les précédents colloques (construction des paysages) ou propres aux laboratoires nantais seront aussi abordés. Enfin, des thèmes liés plus spécifiquement à l'espace géographique nantais sont proposés. Ainsi ce troisième congrès, embrassant tous les territoires dans un champ chronologique très large sera-t-il placé sous le sceau de la continuité et de la nouveauté.

  The international conference “Scales of the Alimentation: an Asian Perspective” aims at bringing together the French and international scholars of Asia in order to promote a global approach to Asia and to bring together different research institutions based in Europe, therefore to develop the exchanges between different international scholars of Asian societies and experts related to the themes of the food. Our objective is to deliver in-depth analysis and innovative methods arising from research in social and human sciences. We aim to better understand economic, political, institutional, cultural, technological and organizational dynamics of past and present dietary practices in Asia. In particular, we will focus on how the state of food practices and their knowledge is interwoven with other social and technological developments, that are the legacies of expanding and shrinking empires and the mass industrialization.

  Les recherches sur la couleur et les débats qu’elles provoquent ont montré combien ce thème est un révélateur de questions sociales sur la perception de soi-même et des autres. Toutefois, une histoire des couleurs en Afrique, spécifique à chaque société, est encore très largement à écrire. Dans la lignée des travaux qui mettaient en avant une réalité complexe dans toute sa diversité, cette journée d’études entend faire le point sur les recherches en cours en élargissant les perspectives par une nouvelle réflexion méta-disciplinaire pour penser ensemble les différents aspects de la fabrique, de l’utilisation, de la perception et de la dénomination des couleurs en Afrique à travers les siècles, et croiser les approches.

  Powers of Imagination. Historical Approach

  The concept of imagination is today seen as as a legitimate object of study, having long been discredited by scientific research. However, in modern and contemporary literature, imagination is generally considered in a negative way, as a mental faculty that can cause disease, error, illusion or sin. By cons, its role was very important, because the imagination formed the necessary link between body and soul. So that was the preferred place to act to perform bodily healing as well as spiritual. We would go against this idea of imagination by studying intellectual tradition and alternative and misunderstood practice. Since the XIIth and XIIIth centuries until the early XIXth century, thinkers and practitioners from a diverse set of disciplines, expressing themselves from different institutional positions, supported the idea that imagination has great powers on the body and on the body and mind of others.

Bien qu’elle soit omniprésente, ses fondements théoriques, épistémologiques et ses champs d’application peuvent varier sans que cette hétérogénéité soit clairement problématisée. Les débats autour de la place de l’intervention de l’État en santé et dans le secteur social plus généralement rendent l’approche expérimentale nécessaire pour justifier de nouvelles politiques ou des réformes basées sur les preuves (evidence based policies).
