The Organizing Committee encourages studies that also examine minor political parties.The Organizing Committee invites scholars of different disciplines interested in the topic topropose papers on Italian political parties’ attitudes, roles, points of view, and reactions in front of:- stragismo and subversive plots against Italian Republic; origin, development, and social consensus of left-wing armed struggle; the main political changes of the period (e.g., the crisis of center-left governments, the 1974 referendum, the 1975 and 1976 elections, the governments of national solidarity, the end of the Christian-democratic centrality); the dangers of right-wing terrorism; the emergency legislation; the exit strategies from terrorism.

Dans ce numéro, nous entendons « théâtre de boulevard » dans un sens large, en prenant en considération les spectacles inscrits dans cette catégorie ou qui s’en réclament ainsi que les lieux où ces spectacles sont joués. Les études pourront porter sur tous les genres et les formes de spectacles. Christophe Charle l’indique en introduction de son ouvrage Théâtres en capitales, lorsqu’il s’attache à ce type d’étude, le/la chercheur-se doit prêter attention à ne pas s’appuyer seulement sur les œuvres canoniques, à ne pas hiérarchiser les œuvres et à ne pas oublier sa propre culture scolaire, pour prendre en compte les spectacles, les auteur.e.s mais aussi les comédien.ne.s qui les jouent, les salles où elles sont présentées, le type de spectateur-trices auxquel.le.s ces spectacles s’adressent, par qui elles sont commandées, ainsi que les succès ou les échecs des pièces étudiées. Pour y parvenir, l’approche se veut pluridisciplinaire, ouverte aux sciences humaines et sociales. Les propositions issues des études théâtrales, de l’histoire, des sciences sociales, des études sur le genre seront les bienvenues. La période proposée s’étend des années 1960 à nos jours, sans restriction d’aire géographique.

Transitions to democracy in Spain and Chile - a retrospective look at "examplary transitions"
Un regard rétrospectif sur des « transitions exemplaires »
L'Espagne et le Chili ont souvent été présentés, séparément ou non, comme deux expériences exemplaires de transition à la démocratie. Malgré de nombreuses différences entre ces deux pays, la péninsule ibérique ouvre dans les années 1970 et le Chili ferme ce qui a été appelé par Samuel Huntington dans un article célèbre (repris dans un livre par la suite), la troisième vague de la démocratie. Lors de cette journée d'études, nous chercherons à dresser dans un premier temps un bilan historiographique de ces études qui ont été à l'origine de l'émergence, au sein de la science politique d'une sous-discipline connue sous le nom de transitologie. Le deuxième temps de cette journée d'études sera consacré aux élites qui ont conduit ces processus démocratiques.

Names on walls. Graffitin the Drancy camp (1941-1944)
La cité de la Muette à Drancy fut le principal camp d’internement et de transit des juifs de France de 1941 à 1944. Lors du remplacement d’une partie des huisseries durant le printemps et l'été 2009, des graffiti d'internés ont été mis au jour. L’ensemble datant d’août 1941 à juillet 1944 est très divers : dessins, symboles, calendriers, noms et dates, messages, commentaires, poèmes. Ces derniers témoignages avant le départ pour les camps d’extermination sont présentés aux Archives départementales de la Seine-Saint-Denis jusqu’au 29 mars 2013. L’exposition s’accompagne d’une série de conférences et de tables rondes.

Transnational itineraries, dialogues and programmes
This conference will discuss the transnational and connected history of student engagements in colonial liberations and the critical reflection on the multilateral management of conflicts in the postcolonial period. It will investigate internal and external tensions, and the reorganisation of these movements in relation to pacifism, revolutionary struggle, conflict prevention and peace making. It will also consider the impact of the new multilateral management of conflicts (through the United Nations, but also the European Union) on European and North American societies, including on young people and student movements, whose membership often goes far beyond national spheres.

Society, culture, community in the United Kingdom (1970-79)
This two-day conference focusing on British society of the 1970s seeks to enlarge and to alter perspectives on the period. The intention is to examine the dynamic of contradiction, inventiveness and tensions that is at work. The intention of the conference-organizers is to circumvent and thus question any “teleological” or linear reading of the period in terms of the necessary “coming of Thatcherism” in the United Kingdom, where the politics and culture of the period are read as so many symptoms or omens of the 1979 election result. The aim is to focus on the plurality of conflicting possibilities evident in the period, and therefore on the contingency of outcomes.

The main objective of this issue is to gather works of researchers from different countries, diverse fields of knowledge and several theoretical as well as methodological perspectives, so as to feed the debate on the issues in keeping with female participation during the dictatorships of Latin America. Contributions should tackle the subject of women activists but they may also consider in a less strict sense the link between women and activism. We wish to address the issue of activism in a broad sense to include a wide range of social movements in which women have played a significant role.

Partie intégrante des activités de l’Observatoire de la vie politique régionale (Ovpr) et de l’Observatoire des élites suisses (Obelis), ce projet permettra aux doctorant·e·s d’être intégré·e·s dans un vaste réseau de recherche national et international.

Whether or not “the entire world” was looking at Berlin, as Reuter asserted, is one of the central questions to be addressed at our conference. Starting from the “frontline city” of Berlin, we will cast our glance to West Germany and its neighboring countries in order not only to frame the Berlin Airlift as a transnational memorial of the Cold War, but also to address, from outside, the question of whether Berlin was really the international focus of the East-West conflict back then, as the press and academia so often portray it.

The F4 agency - the rejuvenation of photojournalism in Brazil in the 1980s
Première coopérative photographique créée au Brésil, l’Agence F4 a accompagné les grands mouvements politiques et sociaux qui ont agité le pays dès la fin des années 70. Par son engagement politique et militant, par ses choix esthétiques et thématiques mais aussi grâce à la forte personnalité de ses photographes, l’agence constitue, à bien des égards, un acteur majeur du renouveau du photojournalisme au Brésil dans les années 1980. L’année 2016 marque le 25ème anniversaire de la fermeture de l’Agence F4, l’occasion de revenir sur cette aventure avant tout humaine en donnant la parole aux photographes eux‑mêmes pour mieux cerner leur participation à l’évolution du photojournalisme.
