Histoire de l’émergence et des évolutions des arts du spectacle arabes
Ce colloque a pour objet de dégager de nouvelles perspectives sur l’histoire des arts du spectacle, avec un intérêt particulier sur les recherches qui permettraient de présenter dans un premier temps un état des lieux sur les études théâtrales dans le monde arabe et de questionner ensuite les modalités de la recherche et les modes d’écriture de l’histoire des arts de la scène et du spectacle performant arabes. L’objectif est de réfléchir à une histoire propre aux arts de la scène et plus particulièrement à la littérature dramatique arabe qui prendrait en compte les éléments inhérents à sa naissance et à son évolution : des formes traditionnelles jusqu’à l’adoption des formes modernes, de la traduction à l’écriture en passant par la réécriture et l’adaptation, de l’adoption des dispositifs modernes à la réappropriation du patrimoine scénique et de toute autre forme d’art.

While philosophical inquiries into the relationship between freedom and responsibility have been central throughout history, especially in the works of scholars like Plato, Aristotle, Averroes, Thomas Aquinas, and Ibn Khaldun, this binary is currently a focal point of public debates addressing contemporary issues related to individual liberation.

Artificial Intelligence in Education / Disembodied interactions
Advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) are changing how languages are being taught and learned. Existing AI technologies can plan entire lessons for teachers and even provide realistic communication practice for learners; it is therefore important to analyze how these tools are being used and how they are shaping language learning experiences, and education in general. This first international joint conference group invites researchers from all over to join the discussion on this rapidly evolving field. Specialists in a variety of fields, including but not to limited linguistics, education, communications, and public policy, are strongly encouraged to submit proposals.

Déconstruire la co-construction
La co-construction est perçue comme une démarche promouvant des valeurs démocratiques et de l’innovation sociale. Son intégration dans plusieurs textes législatifs au milieu des années 2010, tels que la Loi de programmation pour la ville et la cohésion urbaine et la loi sur l’Économie sociale et solidaire, témoigne d'une appropriation progressive et d'une diffusion dans les sphères des politiques publiques. Cependant, sa définition demeure souvent floue. En plus de clarifier la relation entre discours et pratiques de la co-construction, la journée d’étude vise à positionner cette notion. Elle offre l’opportunité d'engager un débat avec des collègues ayant des perspectives et des expériences variées de la co-construction.

Nocturnes : espaces et pratiques de la nuit
Dans les sciences humaines et sociales, la nuit est davantage appréhendée comme un espace-temps culturel, social, économique et politique. Associée à des imaginaires et des vécus plus ou moins heureux, la nuit génère des mobilités, des pratiques et des modes de pensée non ordinaires, pour celles et ceux qui la vivent, la modèlent et tentent de l’organiser. Les premières approches de la nuit remontent à la décennie 1980, sous l’angle des mentalités, des imaginaires et des représentations. La nuit est également devenue un moyen d'éclairer différemment certains phénomènes comme la régulation des pratiques par les politiques publiques ou l’étude des conflits. Notre objet d'étude peut devenir un outil réflexif permettant de dépasser certaines de ces certitudes.

From Laudato si’ (2015 Pope Francis) it touches climate questions and issues of urgency, in particular social urgency, and has an impact on social and antropological questions. Pope Francis considers the cry of nature and the cry of the poor in the same movement. The Orthodox viewpoint is expressed by Patriarch Batholomew 1st, and Protestant viewpoints such as the Lutheran calling for a just, peaceful and reconciled world are also needed. A global discussion on the concept of integral ecology will be part of our conference, in relation with the science and theology relationship, both from concepts and from field experiences.

Ideas of Europe and Images of Russia. From the Eighteenth Century to the Present
XV Annual Conference of the Research Network on the History of Idea of Europe
(Western) European perceptions of and discourses about Russia tell us much more about Europe’s self-perceptions (and delusions) than about Russia itself. And the same holds true for Russian views about Europe. Underlying such a complex identity-formation processes is an often troublesome intellectual dialogue between Europe and Russia, between two closely entwined entities. One of the purposes of this international conference, is to shed light on such a dialogue, discern its main elements, and its untold assumptions and underlying prejudices. The overall aim is to examine how images of Europe and discussions about Russian identity have interacted and influenced each other. Embracing a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach, the conference aims to engage intellectual, cultural, social, and art historians as well as literary scholars and political theorists.

« Revue des politiques sociales et familiales » (RPSF) n°156 – 2026
Les silences émaillent les relations familiales et les récits qui en sont en faits, qu’il s’agisse de tenir secret des « origines », de taire des violences intrafamiliales, de passer sous silence des épreuves douloureuses ou un passé familial jugé honteux, d’occulter des sentiments ou d’éviter des sujets potentiellement malaisant voire considérés comme « tabous ». Touchant au domaine du sensible, ces « non-dits » sont traditionnellement l’objet des experts du psychisme (psychiatres, psychologues, psychanalystes, etc.), à qui il revient de les débusquer, d’y mettre des mots et de faire advenir la parole. Alors que les sciences sociales ont déjà largement montré le poids des instances et des processus proprement sociaux qui définissent, régulent, légitiment et produisent les agencements intimes, l’indicible familial reste encore pour beaucoup extérieur à leurs frontières disciplinaires. N’auraient-elles rien à en dire ? Ce numéro invite anthropologues, sociologues, historiens, politistes, démographes, ou encore juristes à penser les frontières des dicibles familiaux.

Autour du « Grabuge » : évocation des films mystérieux, sulfureux, désavoués, oubliés, perdus
En 1968, le cinéaste français Edouard Luntz (1931-2009) réalise Le Grabuge, film franco-brésilien, produit par la 20th Century Fox et scénarisé par le sociologue rochelais Jean Duvignaud (1921-2007). Le film, l’auteur et le scénariste ont un point commun : ils sont oubliés, voire reniés, en dépit du fait qu’ils ont laissé des traces dans la culture et le patrimoine français et même international. Il nous semble que remettre sur le devant de la scène ces œuvres et figures marginales et oubliées est légitime et éclairant dans un environnement culturel souvent enclin à la reproduction et au discours aseptisé. L’objectif de cette journée d’étude est non seulement de révéler un fragment du patrimoine cinématographique, mais aussi d’évoquer et d’encourager l’étude des origines mythologiques, des répercussions sociologiques, culturelles, géographiques,… des films mystérieux, sulfureux, désavoués, oubliés, perdus.

Histories of Photography from the Struggles for Independence: practices, circulations and aesthetics
It's a well-known fact that the history of photography as a discipline has for the most part been constructed as that of "Western" photography, more specifically that of Europe and the United States. Between the introduction of so-called "extra-Western" photographers on the contemporary art market since the 1990s and the numerous works on the history of the medium during colonial periods, there is still a lack of information on the history of photography from the liberation and independence struggles onwards, from a global and transnational perspective, across all geographical zones. The aim of this colloquium is to highlight the histories of photography generated during the processes of decolonization, while rethinking methodological and aesthetic approaches to the medium that are still too Western-centric.

This symposium will explore the global musical instrument market’s various facets from the late eighteenth to the early twentieth century. The joint study of markets and collections, which grew in parallel and fed off each other during the period, aims to map the flows of instruments, the places and the players who put them into circulation from the perspective of a global history of music and material cultures. Upstream, the goal is to explore the provenance of the materials used in making instruments. Downstream, the reflection will focus on acquisition methods in the colonial context, instrument-makers’ sales strategies, the role of world’s fairs and colonial exhibitions, the social uses of instruments and the representations associated with them.

The doctoral students of the Advanced Course in History at the Scuola Normale Superiore are organizing the first International PhD Workshop, dedicated to the theme of crisis from the Middle Ages to the Contemporary Age. With this workshop, we aim to open a dialogue around the theme within the panels, spanning medieval, modern, and contemporary history, attempting to examine how crises andemergencies have been perceived, conceptualized, framed, and governed throughout history indifferent fields: from politics to economics, from the environment to culture.

The cfp, edited by Pietro Montani and Andrea Pinotti, is titled “Liberty on parole? Challenges in interactivity” and it's dedicated to the evolving forms of interactivity in the contemporary mediascapes, the issues it raises, as well as its limitations. To what extent does interactivity emancipate the user and redefines the roles both of producer and consumer? To what extent is interactivity outlined as yet another articulation of that inevitable observance of rules (Crary 1990) that marks by definition every relationship of the observer with the media with which he interacts? To what extent does the gained freedom remain a form of freedom conditioned by structural constraints, a liberty on parole?

À l’heure où la marchandisation du savoir, les réseaux sociaux et internet modifient en profondeur la communication entre chercheur·es et expert·es mais aussi de l’urgence écologique qui questionne l’intérêt de certaines mobilités humaines et d’échanges de données, COLLOQUE² se propose de réfléchir à l’articulation entre les réseaux académiques transnationaux, d’une part, et la construction du colloque/congrès international comme forme traditionnelle de socialisation et d’échanges dans les milieux académiques.
