French In / And Other Disciplines
The buzz-words and catch phrases have been around for years:
"interdisciplinarity," "hybridity," "cultural studies," "comparative literary and cultural studies," "cross-disciplinarity," etc. Colloquium 2002
proposes to bring them to bear on our meeting. Invite your colleagues from history, sociology, geography, political science, art history, philosophy, film and media studies, English, psychology, women's studies, anthropology,
biology, etc. Encourage them to bring out and present the French and Francophone aspects of their work, while we in French Studies will attempt to display the contributions of other disciplines in our work. Chronology is the only limit: 20th- and 21st-centuries.

You may submit individual papers proposals or panel proposals in addition to the titles already listed in the Call for Papers. All submissions must contain name, affiliation, address and phone number, title of session or paper, and a brief description (2-3 lines) of project or
paper for all participants.

Colloque 2002 Université du Connecticut, Hartford CT, USA, du 4 au 7 avril.
Etudes Françaises et / dans les autres disciplines
Depuis quelques années, les termes comme: « études pluridisciplinaires », « mixité », « hybridité », « études culturelles », « études comparées » et « études interculturelles » « littérature du monde » sont à la mode dans les départements d¹études françaises.
Nous vous invitons à présenter vos recherches sur la diversité de ces sujets.
Invitez également vos collègues dans les autres disciplines à présenter leurs travaux liés aux études françaises qu¹ils soient en: histoire, sociologie, géographie, sciences politiques, histoire de l¹art, philosophie, études cinématographiques et/ou des médias, informatique, anglais, psychologie, études féminines, anthropologie, biologie, etc.
Le colloque 2002 propose un forum de discussions autour des sujets suivants (liste non-exhaustive):

Envoyer vos projets de table ronde ou vos prestations individuelles avant le 30 septembre 2001. Accompagner votre envoi de vos coordonnées personnelles, titre, affiliation, ainsi que ceux de vos intervenants si vous proposez une table ronde. Faites nous également parvenir un bref résumé de votre projet
(2 ou 3 lignes).
