La Conférence annuelle de l'ENHR (European Network of Housing Research) se tiendra à Istanbul (Turquie) les 4-7 Juillet 2010. Les contributions sont les bienvenues (langue de communication: anglais). Pour les jeunes chercheurs, un prix est au concours, le BENGT TURNER AWARD, du nom du fondateur du réseau disparu en 2006

La 22e conférence de l’European Network for Housing Research, organisée par l’Istanbul Technical University, se tiendra à Istanbul du 4 au 7 Juillet 2010. Le thème principal de la conférence, Dynamiques urbaines et transformations du logement, sera abordé autour des trois grandes questions suivantes :

• Où en sommes-nous maintenant ?
• Que sera-t-il dans le futur ?
• Que devons-nous faire ?

Les sessions plénières, organisées sur la base d’un appel à proposition, réuniront tous les participants de la conférence à partir de son thème principal afin de fournir des éléments de réflexions sur les questions que pose ce thème et d’ouvrir vers de nouvelles questions de recherches pour la décennie à venir.

Les sessions des groupes de travail (workshops) donneront aux participants la possibilité de présenter leurs recherches dans les domaines de l’urbain et du logement. La plupart de ces sessions seront organisées à partir des groupes de travail habituels de l’ENHR, mais des sessions supplémentaires s’y ajouteront pour discuter de problématiques liées au logement non abordées par les groupes de travail existants. Tous les deux ans, les conférences de l’ENHR comprennent le New Housing Researchers Colloquium, qui donne la possibilité aux doctorants et à d’autres jeunes chercheurs de présenter et de discuter autour de leurs travaux en cours sur toutes les problématiques liées au logement. Le colloque NHR2010 aura également lieu à Istanbul les 2 et 3 juillet 2010. Les chercheurs confirmés sont invités à conseiller leurs doctorants de consulter le site dédié à ce colloque (www.nhr2010.com).

Le congrès se tiendra dans les locaux du bâtiment Taskisla - Faculté d’architecture, Istanbul Technical University – situé dans le centre historique et culturel d’Istanbul, et très proche de la péninsule historique. Istanbul est une ville très intéressante à tous points de vue et elle sera la capitale culturelle de l’Europe en 2010. Un certain nombre d’activités sociales et de tours d’études thématiques seront organisées afin de profiter au mieux des traits spécifiques de la ville.

Call for papers

22nd Conference of European Network for Housing Research will be organised in Istanbul from 4 July to 7 July 2010 by Istanbul Technical University. The main theme of the conference was defined as Urban Dynamics and Housing Change which will be elaborated by giving answers to three basic questions as follows: 

• Where are we now?
• What does the future hold?
• What should we do?

Plenary sessions with appealing keynote speakers will bring all conference participants together under the main conference theme providing answers to the questions of the conference theme and providing research questions for the next decade.

Workshops sessions will allow participants to present their research in the urban and housing domain. Most of these sessions will be organised by the regular ENHR working groups, but a number of additional sessions will cluster the housing issues not covered by the existing working groups. Every second year, ENHR Conferences include a New Housing Researchers Colloquium which offers an opportunity for Ph.D. students and other beginning researchers to present and discuss their work-in-progress on any housing related topic. NHR2010 Colloquium will also take place in Istanbul on 2-3 July, 2010. Senior housing and urban researchers are invited to advise their PhD students to follow the link of the NHR2010 colloquium (www.nhr2010.com).

The congress location is the Taskisla Building -architectural faculty of Istanbul Technical University- situated in the cultural and historic heart of Istanbul and very near to historic peninsula. Istanbul is an interesting city from all points of view and she will be the cultural capital of Europe in 2010. A number of social events and thematic study tours will be organised, taking advantage of the specific features of the city.
