The Vladimir Nabokov French Society : Les Chercheurs Enchantés is pleased to announce a Doctoral Day that will be devoted to the work of Vladimir Nabokov and will be held at Strasbourg University on May 2nd 2014. This gathering aims to bring together Nabokov students – PhD candidates and PhD graduates having had their viva no earlier than November 2013 – and to provide them with a forum in which they may present and discuss their ongoing research, share their views, methods, concerns and even difficulties. These exchanges will also enable us to appraise the current state of Nabokov research among the younger generations in France and abroad.
We welcome contributions written in English or French. Contributors may come from various departments (Slavic, American, Comparative...) and will discuss one specific aspect of their research topic, while opening broader perspectives and questioning the integration of their research project within the community of scholars.
Please note that the contributors' transportation costs will be at least partly covered.
Submission guidelines
Prospective participants should send an abstract of about 300 words including the title of their contribution, as well as biographic information (title of their dissertation, institution and year of registration, name of supervisor, (estimated) date of completion of thesis).
