The Institute of Digital Humanities at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) is seeking a postdoctoral researcher and Master’s coordinator in the field of digital humanities. The successful candidate has a background in digital humanities with application to humanities or social sciences or a background in humanities or social sciences with application to computer sciences.

Position

Postdoctoral Researcher and a Master Program Coordinator in Digital Humanities

Task

He/she will launch a research project with the Director of the College of Humanities and the Director of the Institute.

He/she will also support the two Directors in implementing and coordinating the new Master program in Digital Humanities by:

• helping to develop, implement, and enforce program content and policies;
• developing communication and promotion material for the new Master;
• responding to requests for program information from prospective students, and managing the orientation for incoming students.

Experience

PhD in either computer sciences with applications in digital humanities, digital humanities, humanities with computer science skills, or social sciences.

Skills

Project management skills, excellent written and spoken English (good written and spoken French would be a plus).

Start date

as soon as possible.

70-100%.

Salary

Minimum : SFR 80’000 (The salary will depend on the applicant's profile)

Duration of contract

1 year, renewable.
