The present seminar is the continuation of the symposium Bodies in action. The Biocultural Dimensions of the Everyday life that was held within the framework of the 4^th Congress on Latin American Anthropology (Mexico, 2015). We invite to this seminar Biocultural Dimensions of the Everyday life researchers interested in the study of the body, of the human embodiment, of the techniques of the body, of the linkages between bodily action and material culture, of the human/animal co-actions, of the nutrition, of the health, of the bodily education, of the dance, of the sexuality and of other fragments of everyday life that invite to think about the complexity of the human being-in-the-world.

El presente seminario se inscribe en la continuidad del simposio Cuerpos en acción. La bioculturalidad de la vida cotidiana que se organizó en el marco del IV Congreso latinoamericano de antropología (México, 2015). Invitamos a participar en este seminario Bioculturalidad de la vida cotidiana a investigadores interesados en el estudio del cuerpo, de la corporeidad humana, de las técnicas del cuerpo, de las articulaciones entre acción corporal y cultura material, de las co-acciones hombre/animal, de la nutrición, de la salud, de la educación corporal, de la danza, de la sexualidad y de otras parcelas de la vida cotidiana que invitan a pensar la complejidad del estar en el mundo humano.

Argument

Founded in 2009 after a series of seminars organized between 2001 and 2008 at the EHESS (Paris) and the Autonomous University of Madrid, CORPUS aims at being an effective participant in building a widely diverse and scientifically-based dialogue on the anthropological aspects of the body.

 CORPUS now brings together around five hundred researchers from over sixty-five different countries.

Submission guidelines

The proposals must include an abstract (150-300 words) and a current CV. The deadline for receiving presentations is 

April, 12^th 2016

Presentations should be delivered preferably in English or Spanish. However, proposals in French and Portuguese will also be considered.

Fundado en 2009 después de una serie de seminarios organizados en el marco de la Escuela de Altos Estudios en Ciencias Sociales (París) y de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid entre 2001 y 2008, CORPUS quiere participar en la construcción de una antropología amplia y abierta del cuerpo, ofreciendo espacios para reflexiones cruzadas y diálogos disciplinares alrededor de este fascinante objeto de estudio.

CORPUS reúne actualmente alrededor de 500 investigadores que trabajan en más de 65 países. Los precedentes simposios y seminarios internacionales de CORPUS fueron: El Bello y el Feo: las representaciones del cuerpo (Lisboa, 2010), Cuerpos extranjeros: ampliar e invadir el cuerpo humano (Moscú, 2010), Cuerpos y Folklore(s): herencias, construcciones y performancias (Lima, 2010), Acest Corp I-real / Este Cuerpo Ir-real (Timişoara, 2010), Dietas y modelos alimenticios: mitos, realidades y esperanzas (Tiflis, 2011), ¿Cuerpos devotos o grandes espectáculos? Las propuestas se compondrán de un resumen de 150-300 palabras y de un CV. El idioma preferente será el español. Sin embargo, se recibirán también propuestas en inglés, francés y portugués.
