Summary
The Politicised Practice Research Group in the The School of the Arts, English and Drama at Loughborough University is offering a three-year PhD scholarship for a practice-based research project starting in October 2018. We welcome the submission of high-quality proposals that have the potential to make a substantive contribution to research within the School and invite proposals that address the following research theme: Re-imagining citizenship through practice.

The School of the Arts, English and Drama offers an exciting interdisciplinary research environment. The Politicised PRactice Research Group welcome the submission of high-quality proposals that have the potential to make a substantive contribution to research within the School and invite proposals that address the following research theme:
Re-imagining citizenship through practice
You will be required to submit a detailed research proposal (approximately 2,000 words) when applying. For practice-based applications please submit a portfolio of work in addition to the proposal. Please indicate which theme(s) your proposal aligns with.

Studentships will be paid for a period of up to three years, starting in October 2018 and will provide a tax-free annual stipend of £14,553 (17/18 RCUK rate) and tuition fees at the UK/EU rate. A condition of the studentships is that students live within a 15-mile radius of Loughborough University. International (non-EU) students may apply however the total value of the studentship will be used towards the cost of the International tuition fee in the first instance.
