Le colloque international « Football par et pour les femmes - état des lieux et perspectives » a pour premier objectif de faire un état des lieux des connaissances sur le football pratiqué, encadré et dirigé par et pour les femmes. Il sera un lieu privilégié de questionnement pluridisciplinaire en confrontant les diverses approches scientifiques autour de la question éminemment actuelle des conditions biologiques, individuelles et sociales du football par et pour des femmes afin de faire émerger des perspectives de développement innovantes. Le colloque sera aussi l’occasion d’examiner plus largement les conditions de la performance des femmes en football via les événements disponibles, la médiatisation, la professionnalisation, le management, les représentations, etc.

This international conference about “Football by and for women” aim first to review the state of scientific knowledge about football played, supervised, organised and led by and for women. Particularly, it aims to be a privileged forum for a multidisciplinary questioning that combines diverse scientific approaches around the current issues regarding the biological, individual and social conditions of women’s football performance, participation and involvement, in order to foster new and innovative perspectives of development. The conference will also be the place to examine more broadly the place and scope of women’s football via the analysis of its events and competitions, its mediatisation, its professionalization, its management and governance, its public perceptions and representations, etc.

Présentation

Les laboratoires de recherche L-VIS et LIBM de l'Université de Lyon, en partenariat avec l'Association des Chercheurs Francophones sur le Football, organisent du 20 au 22 juin 2019, un colloque international pluridisciplinaire (Sciences Du Vivant et Sciences Humaines et Sociales) sur le thème "Football par et pour les femmes : état des lieux et perspectives".

L’organisation de la « Coupe du monde féminine – FIFA – France 2019 » constitue un moment clé dans la stratégie de développement du football pour les femmes engagées par la Fédération Française de Football depuis une dizaine d’années. Passant de 60 521 licenciées en 2007 à 159 128 licenciées en 2017, le monde du football connaît une forte croissance du nombre de femmes et jeunes filles engagées dans la pratique. Pour autant, les femmes ne représentent encore que 6% du total des licences et la Fédération Française de Football a encore une marge de progression qui justifie, notamment depuis 2012, une vaste politique en faveur de l’engagement des femmes et jeunes filles sous la direction de Brigitte Henriques.

Plusieurs axes de travail sont investis allant de l’amélioration des conditions sociales de la pratique (équipements sportifs notamment les vestiaires, développement de sections/écoles de foot dans des zones de proximité, multiplication des pôles espoirs sur le territoire et de la formation de plus de 200 joueuses de haut niveau) à la promotion des femmes dans les fonctions d’encadrement, d’arbitrage ou de gouvernance.

Le colloque international « Football par et pour les femmes - état des lieux et perspectives » organisé par les laboratoires L-Vis et LIBM de l’Université de Lyon1, en partenariat avec l’AC2F réunira des universitaires de tous les champs disciplinaires (SHS et SDV) et des professionnel·les du football pour questionner soit les conditions biologiques de la performance, soit les conditions individuelles et sociales de la performance. Les thématiques suivantes peuvent servir de points d’entrée mais ne se veulent pas exhaustives.

Axe 1 : Les conditions biologiques de la pratique et de la performance

• Bioénergétique et physiologie de la performance
• Déterminants neuromusculaires et biomécaniques de la performance
• Processus mentaux et performance
• Caractérisation des contraintes en match et à l’entraînement
• Fatigue et surentraînement
• Blessure et prévention

Axe 2 : Les conditions individuelles et sociales de la pratique et de la performance

• Socio-démographie sportive (évolution, répartition géographique et/ou sociale,
• Politiques sportives (place et rôles des femmes, type de politiques à l’égard des femmes, etc.)
• L’encadrement (qui encadre le foot des femmes ?
• Professionnalisation/sponsors/management
• Médiatisation
• Représentations

Modalités de soumission

Le format des propositions individuelles (communication ou poster à préciser) est d’un résumé de 2 500 à 3000 signes (espaces compris) comprenant le titre de la communication ; le nom, le statut et l’affiliation de l’auteur·e ; l’axe prioritaire de l’article et la discipline principale ; la problématique traitée ; la méthodologie et les sources, éventuellement les résultats provisoires.

Le format des propositions d’ateliers est d’un résumé de la problématique générale de l’atelier en 1 500 signes (espaces compris), ainsi que les résumés en 1 500 signes (espaces compris) des 3 ou 4 communications composant l’atelier.

Les contributions retenues seront des communications de format classique (20 minutes de présentation orale, suivies d’un temps de questions-réponses avec l’auditoire). D’autres propositions type poster sont possibles : à préciser lors de la proposition de communication.

Presentation

The research units L-Vis et LIBM from the University of Lyon1, in partnership with the Association of Francophone Football Researchers (AC2F) organise from 20th to 22th June 2019, an international conference about “Football by and for women”.

The organisation of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup constitute a key moment in the development strategy the French Football Federation has initiated for about a decade regarding women’s football. With an increase from 60 521 members in 2007 to 159 128 in 2017, the football world is facing a significant growth of the number of participating and engaged girls and women. However, women still represent only 6% of the overall number of members of the French Football Federation that indicates a large margin for progression and has justified, mainly from 2012, an ambitious policy for the promotion of girls and women’s engagement under the direction of Brigitte Henrique.

Several areas of development are considered from the improvement of the social conditions of participation such as the improvement of sports facilities and particularly changing rooms, the development of dedicated school pathways, a growing number of young elite athletes’ training centres (pôles espoirs) all over the territory, and the formation of more than 200 elite athletes, to the promotion of women in training and coaching, refereeing, volunteering, management and governance roles.

This international conference about “Football by and for women” aim first to review the state of scientific knowledge about football played, supervised, organised and led by and for women. The international “Football by and for women – State of play and perspectives” organised by the L-Vis and LIBM research units form the university of Lyon 1 in partnership with AC2F gathers researchers from all scientific fields and football practitioners the biological, individual and social conditions of women’s performance and participation in football. Although not exclusive, the following topics can represent areas of communication:

Theme 1: Biological conditions of participation and performance

• Bioenergetics and physiology of performance
• Biomechanical and neuromuscular determinants of performance
• Mental processes and performance
• Characterisation of training and games’ constraints
• Tiredness and overtraining
• Injuries and prevention

Theme 2: Individual and social conditions of participation and performance

• Football socio-demography (evolution, social and/or geographical distribution, etc.)
• Sport and football policy (place and role of women, policy types, etc.)
• Supervision, coaching and volunteering
• Professionalization/sponsorship/management
• Mediatisation
• Public perceptions and representations

Submission

For Individual propositions (oral communication or poster), authors should submit an abstract, from 2 500 to 3000 characters (space included) including the title; authors’ name, status and affiliation; main theme and scientific discipline; problematic and research question; methodology; results (or expected results); references.

For Workshop proposals, convenors should submit an abstract of 1 500 characters (spaces included) presenting the workshop’s overall problematic, and the 3 or 4 abstracts of 1 500 characters (spaces included) of the workshop’s communications.

Individual propositions and workshop proposals should be submitted before the 7th January

Accepted communications will follow a standard format: 20 minutes of oral presentation followed by times of questions and discussion with the audience. Other poster proposals are possible: to be specified at the time of the communication proposal.
