Après le colloque de Roskilde, en 2018, consacré aux mobilités et aux migrations, l’Association pour l’anthropologie du changement social et du développement (APAD) propose pour l’édition 2020 de ses colloques internationaux, co-organisée avec le département d’anthropologie et d’études africaines de la faculté des sciences de l’homme et de la société (FSHS) de l’université de Lomé (Togo), de centrer ses travaux sur les multiples formes de circulation à grande échelle de marchandises, idées, techniques, informations, modèles qui traversent de manière croissante les pays du Sud et les relient au reste du monde. Des communications s’intéressant à des circulations à échelle plus limitée, régionale ou entre pays voisins, ou montrant des effets de changement d’échelle dans les circulations, sont aussi bienvenues.

Panels or papers focusing on smaller-scale, regional or neighbouring countries' circulations, or showing the consequences of scale change in circulations, are also welcome.

Après la première phase qui a permis de constituer 21 panels thématiques, nous lançons maintenant l’appel à contributions.

La participation au colloque peut se faire selon deux modalités :

• De préférence, soumettre une proposition de communication dans le cadre de l’un des panels (cf. liste des panels en pièce jointe)
• Soumettre une proposition de communication « hors panels » mais se rattachant aux axes de réflexion principaux du colloque (cf. liste des axes de réflexion en pièce jointe)

Nous invitons également les anthropologues visuels et les cinéastes à soumettre des films pour des projections publiques.

Calendrier

Une page web dédiée au colloque est ouverte sur le site web de l’APAD : http://apad-association.org/colloque-2020/. Le détail des panels et le formulaire de dépôt des résumés seront mis en ligne le 23 janvier au plus tard.

Les résumés de communication, de 600 mots maximum, doivent être enregistrés en ligne à partir de la page Web du colloque : https://apad-association.org/colloques/colloque-2020/ au plus tard le 20 février 2020.

Les proposants seront informés des résultats de la sélection le 5 mars 2020.

Le texte complet des communications est attendu pour le 15 mai 2020, pour inclusion sur le site internet du colloque.

Informations pratiques

Les langues de travail sont le français et l’anglais.

Le colloque se déroulera à l’Université de Lomé du 23 au 26 juin 2020. Lomé est un hub aérien, facilitant l’arrivée des participants. Une liste d’hôtels à des tarifs préférentiels pour le colloque sera affichée à l’avance pour les réservations.

Les frais d’inscription au colloque incluent la documentation, les pauses-café, les repas de midi à la cafétéria de l’Université, la soirée de gala et l’adhésion à l’APAD pour l’année 2020. Celle-ci donne droit à la réception des news de l’association et aux numéros de la revue Anthropologie & développement édités pendant l’année d’adhésion.

• Le tarif normal est de 120€ (78 000FCFA) = 70€ (45 000 FCFA) de frais d’inscription au colloque + 50€ (33 000 FCFA) de cotisation à l’APAD.

Deux tarifs réduits sont possibles :

• 95 € (62 000FCFA) = 70 € de frais d’inscription au colloque + 25 € de cotisation à l’APAD pour les personnes ayant un revenu moyen inférieur à 1000€ (660 000 FCFA) /mois.
• 70 € (45 000 FCFA) = pour les membres de l’APAD à jour de leur cotisation 2020.

Quelques bourses seront disponibles pour des jeunes chercheurs ou des doctorants qui ne pourraient pas financer leur venue. L’acceptation d’une candidature supposera une communication acceptée au panel et la fourniture, à l’avance, du texte de la communication. Les modalités seront précisées sur le site du colloque.

A la suite du colloque, l’APAD organisera un atelier d’écriture à destination des jeunes chercheurs africains, sur la base d’une sélection des communications reçues.

After the first phase, in which 21 thematic panels were set up, we are now launching the call for papers.

There are two ways to participate in the conference:

• Preferably, submit a paper proposal to one of the panels (see list of panels attached).
• Submit a paper proposal "out of the panels" but related to the conference’s main axes of reflection (see list of axes of reflection attached).

We also invite visual anthropologists and filmmakers to submit films for public screenings.

Full text of the panels and the abstract submission form will be posted online by January 23rd at the latest.

The paper proposals, of a maximum of 600 words, must be registered online at the conference web page: https://apad-association.org/conference/conference-2020/?lang=en no later than 20 February 2020.

Proposers will be informed of the results of the selection on 5 March 2020.

The full text of the papers is expected by 15 May 2020, for inclusion on the conference website.

Practical information

The working languages are French and English.

The conference will take place at the University of Lomé from 23 to 26 June 2020. Lomé is an air hub, facilitating the arrival of participants. A list of hotels, where special conference rates have been negotiated, will be posted in advance for reservations.

The registration fee includes documentation, coffee breaks, lunch in the University cafeteria, cocktail and APAD membership for the year 2020 (including the APAD newsletter and the issues of Anthropology & development, APAD journal).

• The standard fee is €120 (FCFA 78 0000) = €70 (FCFA 45 000) for conference registration fee + €50 (FCFA 33 000) for APAD membership.

Two reduced rates are possible:

• €95 (FCFA 62 000) = €70 for conference registration + €25 for people with an average income of less than 1000 euros/month.
• €70 (FCFA 45 000) = for APAD members who have paid their 2020 membership fees.

Some grants will be available for young researchers or doctoral candidates who struggle to finance their participation. Applications will be successful if applicants’ papers have been accepted on to a panel, and the provision, in advance, of the text of the paper. The application procedures will be specified shortly.

After the conference, APAD will organize a writing workshop for young African researchers, based on a selection of the papers received.
