Religião e gênero na América Latina
Perspectivas teórico-metodológicas para pesquisa
Este dossiê convida pesquisadoras e pesquisadores a apresentarem trabalhos que discutam os desafios teórico-metodológicos que se colocam diante de novas perguntas de pesquisa para lidar com as interfaces entre religião e gênero nos países do continente, tendo em vista as mudanças no campo social e religioso nas últimas décadas. São bem-vindos trabalhos produzidos a partir de diferentes áreas do conhecimento das ciências sociais e humanas, bem como áreas e estudos que se encontram na interseção dessas temáticas. Nos propomos a estimular também a reflexão sobre os desafios éticos que se colocam às pesquisadoras e aos pesquisadores diante dos novos modelos teórico-metodológicos empregados em nossa região e para além dela.

Tercera edición jornada doctoral Franco-américa austral y ciclo de formación doctoral
El Instituto Francés de Chile, la Cátedra de Racismo y Migraciones Contemporáneas de la Universidad de Chile y el Polo Cono Sur del Institut des Amériques se asocian para organizar para el primer semestre 2021 un ciclo de seminarios doctorales cuya finalidad es la tercera edición de la Jornada Doctoral Franco-América Austral, que tendrá lugar en Temuco, Chile, el 22 de junio de 2021. Este año, la convocatoria se dirige a jóvenes investigadores de doctorado en todas las áreas disciplinarias quienes trabajan sobre el tema de las Migraciones contemporáneas en América Latina. Esa misma temática tendrá un enfoque sobre tres ejes que son el racismo, las fronteras y violencias, las políticas migratorias.

Bolsa de estudo, prémios e ofertas de emprego - Américas
Aides à la mobilité de l’Institut français d’études andines - IFEA (2021)
L’Institut français d’études andines (UMIFRE 17 MEAE/CNRS USR 3337 Amérique latine) propose plusieurs bourses d’aides à la mobilité d’une durée variable, allant de trois à neuf mois, éventuellement renouvelables. Ces aides à la recherche de terrain sont destinées aux doctorant(e)sinscrit(e)s en thèse (2021-2022) dans l’une des disciplines relevant des sciences humaines et sociales ou des sciences de la vie, ces bourses seront réparties sur une période allant du1er mars 2021 au 31 décembre 2022, en fonction des conditions sanitaires qui seront en vigueur dans la région andine.

1956-1958 : une époque de révolutions qui changèrent l’Afrique (et le monde)
The objective of this panel is to compare the various social mobilizations that took place in Africa during the years 1956-1958 and which arguably constitute a historical watershed. The main aim of the panel is not the making of an abstract comparative analysis, but the analysis, based on the testimonial material collected, of how the memory of these events has been structured over time. Moreover, we are interested in understanding what the impacts of these social movements were on the structuring of states and what continuities can be found between the mobilizations of that period and the ary social mobilizations that have shaken the continent in the last ten years, from the ‘Arab Spring’ of 2011 onwards.

«Boletín de Arte» - convocatoria permanente
A través de su convocatoria permanente, el Boletín de Arte (BOA) invita a enviar artículos para el Nro 21, a publicarse en Abril de 2021. BOA es una publicación electrónica, anual y arbitrada, con alcance nacional e internacional, editada por el Instituto de Historia del Arte Argentino y Americano (IHAAA) de la Facultad de Artes (FDA) de la UNLP. BOA publica artículos originales e inéditos en los que se expongan avances y resultados de investigaciones sobre la historia del arte, los estudios visuales y las artes comparadas. La revista está dirigida a profesionales, investigadores, docentes, becarios y estudiantes de posgrado y se edita en español, inglés, francés y portugués.

With the aim of encouraging the exchange of ideas, experiences, progress and proposals, the Journal Forma y Funcion invites classicists to submit full research articles dealing with the teaching and learning of classical languages. We believe that the widespread circulation of information and research findings in this area will contribute towards enriching and modernizing pedagogical processes and dynamics at a time when the use of new technologies and the search for effective and motivating strategies in humanist education is both urgent and necessary.

In Search of Rights: social movements, judicial institutions and public policies
Ciências Sociais Unisinos Vol. 56, nº 3 (september - december 2020)
The global expansion of the judiciary and access to justice has highlighted institutions of the justice system that focus on defending social rights. Realizing the judicial path as an important way in the search for access to health rights, education, social assistance, among others, social movements began to equip themselves legally to work with judicial institutions. Judicial and also extrajudicial appeals, without the so-called judicialization, are increasingly frequent. The proposed Dossier aims to present the debate on the effects of interaction between social movements, judicial institutions and public policies, theoretically and empirically discussing questions about how social movements mobilize law and judicial institutions to claim and guarantee access to rights? How does this interaction impact the production of public policies? How do mobilizations through judicial institutions affect the different stages of public policy? What are the new governance standards installed from these interactions? And, on the other hand, what are the effects of the use of judicial strategy on social movements?

Congresso Internacional de Americanistas (CIA 2021)
Por ocasião do 57º Congresso Internacional de Americanistas, que acontecerá entre os dias 19 a 23 de julho de 2021 em Foz do Iguaçu, Brasil, convidamos a todos a enviar propostas de trabalhos para participar do nosso GT intitulado: Mulheres, indígenas e líderes na cena política latino-americana. Trajetórias, práticas e papéis. O tema deste grupo de trabalho será as mulheres políticas indígenas, seus percursos, suas posições, seus discursos e suas práticas. Procuraremos questionar o lugar e o papel das mulheres indígenas na cena política atual. Existiria um jeito próprio às mulheres de fazer política? Quais suas particularidades? Por que elas tomaram a frente da cena política atual? Qual tipo de relação elas estabelecem com o movimento político indígena, ainda bastante masculino? Por quais razões as mulheres líderes são menos conhecidas na história?

XVIII International Symposium on Civilizing Processes
The National University of Colombia and the Department of Citizen Culture of the Secretary of Culture, Recreation and Sport of Bogota, Colombia have joined forces to organize the upcoming XVIII International Symposium on Civilizing Processes (SIPC). The SIPCs were born in 1996 on a Brazilian initiative and have been held every two years in Latin America to encourage the exchange of ideas and research results among scientists from various disciplines who find in Norbert Elias’ work a source of guidance in facing the challenges of today’s world and who share an interest in social sciences adjusted to reality.

New approaches to the history of soft power in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries
The study of soft power in the modern period is unequal, with much attention understandably paid to the Cold War when culture offered a surrogate for damaged and blocked political dialogues. But practices that aimed at promoting a nation abroad were not invented after the Second World War, nor were they inexistent before then. Some historians have traced their origins back to the nineteenth century with the formation of nation states (in Europe) and the growth of ministries of foreign affairs. In addition, the historiography has largely omitted soft power policies produced by and targeting so called “periphery countries”. Therefore, much remains to be written if we are to fully appreciate the history of soft power and its associated key concepts (public and cultural diplomacy, propaganda, publicity, promotion, oeuvres -in the French context, public relations) and the multiplicity of meanings with which these ideas and practices were endowed globally throughout the modern period.

Figurations and Interlocutions: The Feminine Question in Walter Benjamin’s Oeuvre
Artefilosofia Journal
Even though he was a philosopher, not a poet, Walter Benjamin (1892-1940) thought poetically, says Hannah Arendt about his friend and life-long correspondent. In his oeuvre, the feminine appears through recurrent images whose meaning may vary according to the context, in different figurations and fictions. In agreement with these fictional figurations, one of his first essays presents the question of what a feminine culture or a feminine language would be (Metaphysik der Jugend, GS, II, I, 1977).
