Attractivité territoriale et qualité de vie

Special session, Sixth EUGEO, congress on the Geography of Europe

Dans le cadre de l'EUGEO 2017 nous proposons une session spéciale sur l'attractivité territoriale et la qualité de vie. Nous proposons d'explorer les façons novatrices de concevoir l’attractivité territoriale. Comment penser l’attractivité en termes innovants ? Comment penser cette innovation autrement qu’en termes de structures de gouvernance ? Comment par exemple innover en termes d’acteurs impliqués, d’indicateurs choisis, de politiques… Bref, trois axes principaux guideront cette session spéciale : stratégies innovantes de l’attractivité territoriale ; qualité de vie, bien-être et attractivité territoriale ; perceptions et représentations territoriales au service de l’attractivité.

Singing the Past

Music and the Politics of Memory

This international conference intends to investigate how songs can constitute means to narrate historical events as well as social and political figures. This symposium intends to explore “unofficial” narratives that are clearly distinct from or opposing to political authority. This will allow us to investigate various relations to the past and how those may be performed, often through personal narratives constructing alternative histories. Another central issue is the content of the songs. In other words, what in the songs’ material conveys historical and political meaning? Nevertheless, it should not be studied apart from the music which conveys its social meaning. The choice of musical instruments, forms and aesthetics as well as musical borrowings or quotations highlights symbols that are superposed to and intertwined with textual content in a complex semiotic structure that needs to be unpacked.

Recherches en sciences humaines et sociales : la question du transfert aux pratiques médicales

L'objectif de cette conférence internationale est d'engager une réflexion multi- et interdisciplinaire, associant les différentes parties prenantes, sur la question de l'utilisation et de l'utilité des résultats de recherches en sciences humaines et sociales (SHS) par et pour les professionnels de la santé au sens large. À partir d’exemples de recherches réalisées ou en cours de réalisation, nous explorerons la question de la « translation » ou « implémentation » des résultats de recherches en SHS au champ de la médecine et de la santé, en d'autre termes, comment et sous quelles conditions, des « résultats » de travaux en SHS sont mobilisés et utilisés par différents acteurs dans le champ de la médecine et de la santé. L’objectif est de mieux comprendre les processus de communication et de diffusion des connaissances en SHS ainsi que les conditions, formes et modalités de leur utilisation.

Las Jornadas de los jóvenes americanistas es un evento organizado por y para universitarios que se encuentran en el inicio de su carrera de investigación, con el fin de proponer un espacio de discusión interdisciplinaria e internacional, abierto a las diferentes disciplinas y metodologías de las Ciencias Sociales y Humanas. Las octavas JJA, Espacios y lugares de los conflictos, se desarrollarán en forma simultánea en Lima, los días 3, 4 y 5 de julio de 2017, y en Madrid, los días 3 y 4 de julio de 2017. Esta edición será una oportunidad para establecer nuevos puentes de reflexión científica y de colaboración entre América Latina y Europa.

Actes de justice, événements publics : les criminels de la seconde guerre mondiale en procès

The conference suggests approaching trials of war crimes and of crimes against humanity, which took place in the aftermath of World War II and its following decades, as specific social events. By including professional and social actors (magistrates and police force, whistle-blowers, witnesses, defendants...) who got involved and shaped audiences of such trials, the conference endeavours to question the notion of publicization. It will cross this perspective with a study of the part played by the media supports in the organization and in the public reception of these trials.

La société civile et la transition démocratique

Expériences comparées

Les changements politiques que connaissent plusieurs pays, surtout arabes, et les périodes de transition politique, font apparaitre la fin du monopole du champ politique par l'État. Les organisations de la société civile s'accaparent de plus en plus de pouvoir de par leurs capacités mobilisatrices. On assiste à l'émergence de nouveaux acteurs civils qui exercent des missions et des rôles autant divers qu'inhabituels, ce qui peut être considéré comme une dépossession des rôles traditionnels de l'État. En fait, la société civile contribue à la rotation des élites, assure une fonction socio-éducative et contribue fortement à consolider le processus démocratique nouvellement initié. Il s'agit de comparer les différentes expériences, d'expliciter les étendues mais aussi d'un autre côté de réfléchir sur le concept de société civile, de clarifier ses contours, de comprendre les polémiques qu'il suscite.

La protection des données post-mortem

Les profils élaborés et les différentes traces laissées sur Internet dessinent les contours des identités numériques. Du vivant de l’internaute, la gestion de ses identités lui revient, et elle bénéficie de l’encadrement juridique relatif aux données personnelles. Généralement, les droits de la personne s’éteignent avec la mort de celle-ci. Cette journée d'étude internationale, organisée dans le cadre du projet de recherche ENEID, rassemble des chercheurs et chercheuses des sciences de l'information et de la communication, des juristes, ainsi que des experts travaillant en tant que Correspondants informatique et libertés ou dans des autorités nationales de protection des données, pour réfléchir ensemble au sort de ces données personnelles après la mort.

Les communs en Asie du Sud aujourd'hui

Since 1998 the “Association des jeunes études indiennes” (AJEI) organizes an annual workshop in India with the support of international and local partners. This year, we propose a three-day event in Goa to debate the question of the “commons” in contemporary South-Asia. The workshop will be structured around different thematic sessions with the presentations of the works of the participants, a field visit and an open discussion on fieldwork methods. One of the main objective of the event is to give the opportunity to the participants to exchange on their works and their experience, to get feedbacks from senior researchers and to build relationships, reinforcing thus the strong international network of researchers on South Asia.

Ce colloque se propose de tenter une théorisation de la notion de spirituel afin d'en faire une catégorie scientifique utilisable dans le champ des sciences humaines. Depuis le poststructuralisme, la théorie, notamment littéraire, est devenue experte en matière d'analyse et de remise en question du soubassement idéologique de tout discours. Toutefois, cette « herméneutique du soupçon » (Ricoeur, 1975) se trouve démunie lorsqu'il s'agit d'élaborer une herméneutique « instauratrice de sens » (Ricoeur, 1965) permettant de penser l'humain au-delà de sa matérialité.

Radical Americas Symposium 2016

The theme of this year’s Radical Americas symposium is “Decolonizing Americas”, acknowledging the long arc of struggle for freedom since the period of European colonization of the Western Hemisphere in the 15t^h century. Our collaborative effort will be to consider how histories within the US, Latin America, and the Caribbean converge and depart in relation to the experience of anti-colonial and decolonizing social movements, many of which continue today. We will also consider the ways that cultural efforts, collectives, art, and intellectual projects shape radical imaginaries of freedom.

Characteristic of the the first sixteen years of the 21^st Century has been the the emphasis that structuration processes have placed on the connections between emotions, bodies, and society as some of their central axes. At least since the end of the last century, the production, circulation, management, and reproduction of feeling practices have become some of the basic features of education, health care, knowledge production, the mass media, the entertainment industry, sexuality, politics, and the market - just to mention some of the most publicly “visible” ones. 1989 gegründete Florian-Znaniecki-Wissenschaftliche Stiftung plant die Herausgabe eines Bandes in der Serie Soziologische Monographien unter dem Arbeitstitel “Contemporary migrations in the humanistic coefficient perspective. Florian Znaniecki’s thought in today’s science”(„Gegenwärtige Migrationen in der Perspektive des humanistischen Faktors. Der Gedanke von Florian Znaniecki in der heutigen Wissenschaft”). In diesem Zusammenhang laden wir ein, die bisher nicht veröffentlichten Originaltexte in englischer Sprache zu versenden, die der Anwendung des Gedankens von Florian Znaniecki in den gegenwärtigen Migrationsforschungen gewidmet sind.
