La collection publie des recherches qui s’inscrivent en priorité dans le domaine des sciences historiques, mais accueille volontiers diverses perspectives issues d’autres champs disciplinaires. Les Living Books peuvent avoir différents objectifs, comme proposer un bilan historiographique d’un courant de recherche, circonscrire les contours d’un nouvel objet d’étude, offrir une introduction à une thématique, illustrer différentes manières d’interpréter un corpus spécifique de sources ou encore analyser les enjeux d’un changement de paradigme.

Focusing on a material and practical approach to ego-documents pertaining to researchers’ experiences of migration, this issue of Diasporas aims to rethink the reflexive return to these experiences carried out by researchers in the humanities and social sciences, wherever they come from, throughout the 19th and 20th century.

Enjeux des mutations contemporaines dans l’espace européen de l’enseignement supérieur (EEES)
This is a call for chapters. Since the 1990s, European and international policies (OECD, World Bank, Bologna Process) have reshaped universities within the European Higher Education Area around competitiveness, efficiency, employability, and international attractiveness. While massification and mobility have increased, deep inequalities in access and success persist, and new challenges, such as digitalisation, ecological transition, student experience, and academic freedom, remain insufficiently addressed. We therefore call for multidisciplinary contributions to critically examine the 21st-century university and whether it can truly meet the political, social, and democratic challenges of a rapidly changing world.

Ce colloque international et interdisciplinaire, co-organisé les 3 et 4 juin 2026 par le Groupe interdisciplinaire de recherches sur les cultures et les identités (GIRCI) de la faculté des lettres et sciences humaines de l’université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar et l’université de Aarhus (Danemark), travaillera la question suivante : comment appréhender l’importance de la sphère publique, des débats et des formes d’interventions créatives au Sénégal, de même que dans d’autres pays africains multilingues, caractérisés par des dynamiques entre les ethnies, mais aussi entre la vie urbaine et les structures locales comme le village ?

Unleashing Transformative and Decolonised Education for Sustainability in a Globalised World
The theme of the conference is grounded in the transformative learning paradigm applied to education for sustainable development (ESD). ESD is a central element in promoting “enlightened citizenship” for all students, but also in training future professionals who will integrate a sustainable development approach into their work, regardless of the sector. This call for contributions is based on UNESCO’s 2030 Roadmap for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), published in 2020 and the 2022 Berlin Declaration, which places transformative ESD at its core.

Cultivating one’s own garden, expanding horizons
Mapping the personal and the collective through history of art and the humanities, from Impressionism to the present day
The Seine has shaped the history of the Impressionist movement, which, in turn, left a lasting mark on the land. The research framework of this programme places the focus on this influential geographical backdrop, as part of a broader reflection on our regions. Housing traditions, ways of life, social structures, land uses, and the impact of agricultural and industrial development on the landscape are just some of the lines of research that require further study about Impressionism. This summer school aims to open up new perspectives through cross-disciplinary collaboration while experimenting with scales of analysis, to reflect on the experience of land from the most personal to the most universal.

Issues and paradoxes of the digital capture of manual work
Organised as part of the ANR project Me3dAx, this study day aims to explore how contemporary digital technologies for capturing, preserving, modeling, or disseminating digital data can affect so-called “manual” practices—i.e., work-related, leisure, or semi-leisure activities that require bodily engagement.

This thematic issue of Cahiers d’études italiennes aims to examine both the polysemy and social functions of scandal in Italy in the late Middle Ages and early Renaissance (1350-1530), combining approaches from history, literature, art history, political philosophy, and law. Contributions will focus primarily on Italian society, but contributions addressing cases of scandal related to Italy or Italian personalities are also welcome.

“Intersections” Canadian Journal of Music - Varia
We invite submission to Intersections, a digitally published bilingual (French and English) journal founded in 1980 by the Canadian University Music Society (MusCan). The journal aims to represent the diversity of current fields of research in music, most broadly defined, and welcomes submissions informed by all music-related disciplines, as well as multi- and interdisciplinary scholarship. Spanish and Greek civil wars: multiple memories and commemorations
K@iros Journal
This issue of K@iros seeks to study the Spanish and Greek civil wars from a cultural history perspective, highlighting parallel discourses and practices of remembrance while identifying the specific characteristics of each conflict’s memory, linked to the internal dynamics of the two societies. The aim is to study the registers, temporalities and scales of memory of these two historical sequences, both within the societies and through the memorial heritage in other spaces. The aim will be to retrace the parallel paths taken by these memories and their intersecting destinies in the multiple media (press, cinema, literature, photography, museums).
