À cette époque-là, la notion même de « temps libre », de temps infécond s’entend, est-elle pertinente, et fait-elle l’objet, sinon d’une théorisation, de considérations spécifiques de la part des écrivains et des penseurs ?

Decolonial summer university SIRA (Savoirs, Idées, Réseau, Archives)

The symposium will critically examine what decolonization means and its implications in educational contexts. It seeks to challenge the power structures entrenched within academic institutions through a series of discussions that take place in spaces ranging from universities in the Global South to the Théodore Monod African Art Museum and the historic site of Gorée Island. These discussions aim to reconfigure the creative and resistant dynamics that continue to shape us. The connective movement between academic institutions and historically marginalized spaces—those imbued with histories of resistance—underscores the central thesis that “decolonization is not a metaphor.”

L’espagnol américain et les « américanismes » : leur place dans le monde hispanique

Dès sa création en 1713 et jusqu’au XX^e siècle, la Real Academia Española, dans sa fonction unificatrice et standardisante de la langue, a fixé la norme en privilégiant l’espagnol cultivé du nord et du centre de la péninsule ibérique, au détriment des modalités de l’Espagne méridionale et de l’Amérique hispanique. Cette politique linguistique a subi un tournant à partir de 1999, lorsque la RAE s’associe à l’ASALE (fondée en 1951 au Mexique) pour produire des travaux conjoints dans une perspective « panhispanique ». On peut se demander si la construction d’une norme pluricentrique se manifeste concrètement dans les faits ou s’il s’agit d’une simple déclaration d’intention.

« Si uocem rerum natura repente mittat » : sensations et perceptions du monde végétal dans l’Antiquité

L’environnement naturel et sa perception constituent le cadre dans lequel les cultures anciennes se sont développées. Pour comprendre la portée de cette perception et appréhender la représentation mentale du monde qui les entourait, il est nécessaire de s’interroger sur les sensations (vue, toucher, odorat, goût, ouïe) que cet environnement produit. Afin d’étudier cette relation à la fois intime et collective, un large groupe de spécialistes en philologie classique, histoire et archéologie se réunira à la faculté des lettres de l’université de Murcie pour analyser comment les hommes et les femmes de l’Antiquité gréco-latine ont manifesté ce lien à travers leurs œuvres, leurs écrits et leurs témoignages matériels.

Migration and Transmission

The transmission of scientific and academic knowledge on migration cannot be envisaged today without a plurality of research, socio-economic and civil society actors. This calls for a reflection on the ways in which research is carried out and presented in the light of the circulation of knowledge. It also raises the question of “transmission in migration”, i.e. everything that is transferred between different groups in society (migrants/descendants of migrants/non-migrants) at different levels. What are the legacies and discontinuities from a family and intergenerational perspective, from one migrant group to another, from one institutional practice to another? The aim is to examine the practices and uses, as well as the purposes, of the transmission of political, economic, cultural and social forms in “migrant worlds”.

The world in crisis(es)

Collection Société(s) : Langue(s) et culture(s) en dialogue

The word crisis, derived from the Greek word krisis, means judgment, decision. Conceptually speaking, “a crisis is an illness” (a conceptual metaphor justified diachronically by its etymological meaning of “the decisive phase of an illness”), or “it is a war”, if we focus on the meaning of “an outbreak with violent manifestations”. It is, therefore, a moment of major change. Our societies are plagued by successive and often overlapping crises, enabling them - if not forcing them - to evolve and transform themselves. The conference will focus on two parallel and complementary themes: “The economic crisis / The economy of the crisis” and “Discourse in a time of crisis”.

La rencontre du cinéma et de la psychanalyse va proposer un dialogue autour des sinuosités du contemporain. Des discours se croisent. L’image cinématographique nous engage au cœur même du réel, comme le langage dans la cure, lorsque des bribes de réel font irruption sur la scène analytique à travers les formations de l’inconscient. Les cinéastes se réfèrent à la psychanalyse et cette dernière en passe par le cinéma. Cinéma et psychanalyse relèvent, dans leur dimension créative, de prises de risques et ce qui les fonde échappe au réalisateur, comme à l’analyste : « démasquer le réel » et se confronter à ces images qu’on « ignorait » avoir tournées.

Quinze ans d’« Amerika, Arts et littératures en Amérique Latine au XXIe siècle » : la croisée des chemins ?

La revue Amerika, fondée en 2010 par Néstor Ponce, a été l’un des éléments visibles de la recherche latino-américaniste à Rennes 2 de ces quinze dernières années. Au travers de la quasi-trentaine de numéros publiés, ont été questionnés des concepts liés à la littérature, aux arts et aux sciences humaines, et à leur déclinaison dans les Amériques, principalement dans les pays hispanophones et lusophones, mais également anglophones et francophones.Pour les quinze ans d’existence de la revue, et alors que nous arrivons au terme du premier quart du XXI^e siècle, nous souhaiterions, lors d’un colloque, interroger la manière dont les imaginaires latino-américains contemporains, principalement la production littéraire et les arts, mettent en perspective l’appartenance à des territoires spécifiques, mais aussi la place que ceux-ci occupent dans un univers culturel chaque fois plus mondialisé.

Du « commun » au « public » : concepts et pratiques de l’ordre social dans l’espace culturel ibéro-américain (XVIIIe-XIXe siècles)

Cette rencontre scientifique propose de réfléchir à travers deux axes fondamentaux : premièrement, les modalités selon lesquelles les conceptions corporatives et juridictionnelles traditionnelles du lien social dans la monarchie traditionnelle espagnole sont adaptées, juxtaposées, contrastées, etc. avec l’imaginaire éclairé et libéral, à partir du XVIII^e siècle et tout au long du XIX^e, sur le plan institutionnel, normatif et discursif. Deuxièmement, les réappropriations, réinterprétations et usages –intentionnels ou naïfs – de ces termes par les sujets ; usages qui ont complexifié le réseau de relations traditionnellement décrit par l’historiographie en termes de résistance à la formation d’une nouvelle conception de l’autorité publique légitime.

Improving the quality of working life

Over the last twenty years, there has been a proliferation of research and interventions whose purpose, in contrast to the strict profitability objective of ‘quality circles’, focuses on the quality of working life. They have often been designated by the acronym QWL. This designation authorizes a wide range of methodologies and actions and there have been proposals structured considering diagnoses and interventions that were based on the workers’ point of view and on what happens in reality at work situations. In these approaches, the tradition of activity ergonomics and work psychology once again demonstrate the wealth of methodological tools and intervention models. Laboreal invites researchers to present studies addressing this issue, in particular those that present detailed field experiences.

This issue of Cadernos do Arquivo Municipal aims to reflect on European colonialism in Africa in the 19th and 20th centuries, trying to explain, through current historical knowledge, the colonial fact —one, similar, transversal in its ideas and practices— structured in different territorial and national strands, and highlighting the deconstruction of myths, ideas and theories that have succeeded each other and metamorphosed to legitimise and justify colonial violence. It is also about giving a voice to Africans, so silenced by the colonial system, by listening to their interpretations of a reality from the near past that left significant marks on their daily lives.
