  La journée d'étude Bernardo Secchi vise à rassembler chercheurs, doctorants, praticiens et décideurs de la ville pour interroger les rapports entre égalité / inégalité sociale, soutenabilité écologique et qualités spatiales des territoires urbains autour de trois questions : économie durable et solidaire : quels en sont les liens d'interaction avec l'environnement construit ? Gouvernance éco-responsable : comment l'espace architectural et urbain peut-il en devenir un champ d'application stratégique ? Âge urbain et équilibre planétaire : quelles orientations du projet architectural, urbain et paysager pour une gestion innovante des ressources ?

  Assistant HES (Doctoral student) at Geneva School of Business Administration

  The Geneva School of Business Administration (HEG-Geneva) offers a Research Assistant (Doctoral student) position for three years starting from 1^st September 2013.The doctoral student will participate to the project « Organizing, Communicating, and Costing in Risk Governance: Learning Lessons from the H1N1 Pandemic », financed by the Swiss National Science Foundation. He or she will be in charge of the research components dedicated to costing around H1N1. This comparative study will involve qualitative fieldwork in three countries, namely Switzerland, the United States and Japan. He or she will collaborate with a post-doctoral fellow focusing on issues related to organization and communication. He or she will have to write a PhD thesis on H1N1 costing issues and will be supervised by Prof. Nathalie Brender. The project is funded for three years.

  L’énergie est un défi majeur en matière de politique de développement. La poursuite d’un développement se nourrissant essentiellement de l’abondance des énergies fossiles bon marché se heurte à la raréfaction des réserves, à la hausse des cours et au réchauffement climatique. Une dizaine d'auteurs et d’experts viendront débattre des difficultés de changer de trajectoire de développement, des enjeux géopolitiques, notamment pour les pays émergents, ainsi que du rôle de la coopération internationale dans le domaine de l'énergie.

  The central objective of this conference is to provide a state of the heart of academic research on the substantive performance of informal economic units in the construction of their territory. It means that it intends to (1) highlight the inner socioeconomic logics developed by informal economy units, (2) provide a better understanding of socioeconomic practices to manage risk across the life course and fight vulnerabilities at individual, family and collective levels, (3) analyze the interaction between public policies and informal practices and (4) analyze how securization practices within the informal economy participate to the construction of a given territory (of its markets, of potential social services, social protection mechanisms, and of its public sphere). It will provide a new knowledge of specific mechanisms of coordination, reproduction, surplus allocation and securization which are characterizing individual/family and collective/associative organizations from the informal economy.
