The Research Training Group (RTG) examines the politics of the Enlightenment from the 18th century to today. Its approach is twofold: firstly, it asks – in terms of the genitivus subjectivus – how both the historical Enlightenment of the 18th century and also later Enlightenment enterprises think and act in a political sense. Secondly, it questions – in terms of the genitivus objectivus – how the conception of Enlightenment is constructed and perpetually renewed through political aims and decisions: How does the Enlightenment shape politics? And how do politics shape the Enlightenment?

Two post-doctoral positions for the projet "Decoding Antisemitism"
In the three-year pilot project "Identifying the Real Dimension of Antisemitism 2.0 in Europe", an international research team will investigate antisemitic language and image use on news websites and social media platforms of the political mainstream in three European countries (Germany, Great Britain and France). First, the object of investigation is analysed in detail. In the second step, all of the examined phenomena are investigated in their breadth by means of quantitative analyses. Main tasks of the post-doctoral positions will be, on one hand, the qualitative linguistic content analysis of social media comments and analysis of image material and text-image relationships in relation to antisemitic content; on the other hand, the application of quantitative linguistic methods to the social media corpus.

Le projet RIIG (Recueil informatisé des inscriptions gauloises, ANR-19-CE27-0003), propose un contrat post-doctoral de 16 mois à compter du 1er janvier 2021. Coordonné depuis l'institut Ausonius (UMR 5607 université Bordeaux-Montaigne), ce projet ANR jeune chercheur vise à l’informatisation, l’enrichissement et la mise à jour du recueil des inscriptions gauloises (RIG). En étroite collaboration avec le chef du projet, le post-doc sera responsable de la collecte de données visant à la documentation et à la contextualisation des inscriptions en langue gauloise. L’enjeu est de livrer à terme une editio maior des inscriptions gauloises et de mener une réflexion plus précise sur l’utilisation de l’écriture dans la société gauloise puis galloromaine. Dans ce projet, une large communauté scientifique internationale spécialisée dans les populations celtes et gauloises est mobilisée.

L’ATER prendra en charge des enseignements en philologie numérique devant les étudiants du master « Édition et documentation » ; cet enseignement devra présenter les grands principes de l’édition scientifique (choix des témoins, traitement des variantes, éditions à partir de manuscrits/ éditions à partir d’impressions, etc.), puis leur déclinaison avec les balises de la TEI. Plusieurs projets de numérisation de documents et d’exploration avec des outils numériques sont actuellement en cours à l’université de Bretagne-Sud. L’ATER devra apporter une aide à la conception et la réalisation de l’encodage selon les recommandations de la TEI, à la mise en lien des données (web linked data) et à l’extraction de données.
