L’accès à une énergie électrique abordable à coût environnemental maîtrisé et la fiabilité des réseaux - ce sont des enjeux fondamentaux pour le développement contemporain des territoires dans les Nords et les Suds. Une diversité de sources d’énergie et différentes solutions de fourniture sont appelées à coexister durablement pour y répondre. Quels sont les défis techniques, politiques, règlementaires et sociaux des processus d’hybridation qui pourront en résulter ?

Les journées d'étude 2018 de l'Association française pour l'étude du textile (AFET) visent à faire dialoguer mer et textile. Quatre thèmes sont privilégiés. La mer comme moteur d'innovation a conduit à l'élaboration de textiles innovants et spécifiques, le commerce des textiles est étroitement lié aux routes maritimes, le développement des stations balnéaires entraîne de nouvelles pratiques sportives donc vestimentaires, le décor maritime rend compte du rôle primordial de la mer dans l'imaginaire. Les orientations évoquées ne sont pas limitatives mais l'axe principal des communications doit faire ressortir les liens entre mer et textile.

La complexité des écosystèmes de la création invite à interroger les conditions de la transmission et de l’innovation, de diffusion et d’accès aux œuvres dans leurs singularités. De nombreuses questions seront abordées : les spécificités des professions artistiques et des carrières ; les modalités de construction de la valeur des œuvres et de la notoriété ; les conditions de la création, entre mémoire/répertoire/innovation/création ; les effets du numérique sur la création ; les publics (conditions de la réception, de la diffusion, médiation, d’accès…).

The event will host the MED Social and creative community featured by TALIA (Territorial Appropriation of Leading-edge Innovation Actions), the Interreg-MED Programme’s horizontal project promoting the coherence and impact of modular projects addressing the topics of Cultural and Creative Industries and Social Innovation.

New Spaces of Collection: Crossing Perspectives on Today ‘Gatherers’

The purpose of this issue of EchoGéo is to initiate an innovative approach toward contemporary practices of collection and their socio-spatial effects. The term ‘collection’ covers a wide panel of processes used for the gathering of valuable materials picked up from localised environments and feeding supra-local trading and production channels. The proposal is to compare two kinds of collection spaces and practices, which seem to be opposed, namely those of medicinal plants’ gatherers and those of urban waste pickers multi-scaled. Through such analogy, whose today’s dynamics are bringing new heuristic interest, the objective is to consider conceptual issues such as marginality, informality, multi-scaled organisation of economic channels, access to resources and value regimes

Human Sea European Research Council program final international Conference
The Human Sea European research Council program aims to respond to the problems related to the development of human activities at sea, which lead progressively to a transformation of the law of the sea and maritime law, and remain today legally little framed. The objective of the Human Sea program, led by Patrick Chaumette, Professor of Law at the University of Nantes and former director of the Center of Maritime and Oceanic Law (CDMO), is to rethink the concepts born of the history of maritime activities and navigation and to question the intervention of States at sea, from their territorial waters to the high seas. The compromises reached in 1982 with respect to the law of the sea will also be examined in the light of threats and new techniques.

Government by Expertise: Technocrats and Technocracy in Western Europe, 1914-1973
Technocracy is the political swearword of our times. From the multiple crises of the European Union to the recent elections in the United States, the role of experts in public governance is often invoked as one of the main sources for the political ills of contemporary society, responsible for the exacerbation of social inequalities, the decline in the acceptance of political institutions, and the rise of populist movements. This conference will look at the genealogy of technocracy and the trajectories of various groups of “experts” in western Europe’s mid-20th century.

The Saint James Trail - heritage, territories and historicity
2018 célèbre les vingt ans de l’inscription du bien « Chemins de Saint-Jacques de Compostelle en France » (bien n°868) sur la liste du patrimoine mondial. Ce colloque pluridisciplinaire vise d’une part à interroger la construction contemporaine du phénomène jacquaire ainsi que la production intellectuelle qui a notamment contribué à forger les reconnaissances internationales autour de ces itinéraires jacquaires (itinéraire culturel du Conseil de l’Europe en 1987, inscriptions sur la Liste du patrimoine mondial pour l’Espagne (Camino Francès) en 1993 et pour la France en 1998) ; et d’autre part, à questionner la prise en compte des reconnaissances internationales dans les politiques publiques de développement culturel et touristique des territoires.

Territorial marketing - between differentiation and mobilisation
En partenariat avec la chaire « Attractivité et nouveau marketing territorial » de l’université de Marseille, l’équipe TerRA (Territoire, ressources et acteurs) de l’UMR CNRS LISA de l’université de Corte, propose un workshop multilogue où l’on discute des démarches de marketing territorial, par le prisme de deux objectifs plutôt difficiles à atteindre individuellement mais aussi délicats à combiner : la quête de différenciation d’une part, qui consiste en un positionnement soutenu par les outils et méthodes du marketing et la quête de mobilisation des parties prenantes d’autre part, qui réorganise les réseaux locaux et déploie des logiques plus ou moins mobilisatrices afin de constituer des leaderships territoriaux.

Por otro, se propone abordar las conexiones entre los puertos atlánticos, los cuales han facilitado los intercambios de mercancías, personas, agentes biológicos o corrientes culturales a través del Océano.
