  El simposio es un espacio propicio de intercambio de conocimientos y experiencias sobre la importancia de la documentación de carácter patrimonial, tanto para la memoria como para la reconstrucción histórica, poniendo en evidencia la necesidad de su preservación y divulgación, donde los archivos y las bibliotecas juegan un papel vital para cumplir dicha misión. Temas de gran importancia, especialmente en un país como Colombia, que inicia una nueva etapa de posconflicto y donde los estudios sobre la memoria y patrimonio son fundamentales en el proceso de construcción del relato emblemático sobre el país.

  The “Landscapes” edition of dearq academic journal invites participants to reflect on what has globally been, principally since the beginning of the twentieth century, the evolution of the concept of landscape; the relevant methods of analysis; the methods of representation, of evaluation, and of teaching. This takes into consideration how the concept is a practical project tool that can be used for land-use planning, what landscape’s level of influence has been on the public policy decision-making process, what instruments and regulations have been used, and also how “landscape” and “territory” coexist.
