  Les journées d'études sont destinées à offrir aux participants les outils fondamentaux pour engager une recherche dans les archives des dicastères de la Curie romaine et d'autres institutions ecclésiastiques romaines. Elles seront l'occasion de présenter des éléments pour l'interprétation critique des sources et pour leur contextualisation à travers l'historiographie la plus actuelle.

  Erstmalig findet in diesem Jahr die literaturwissenschaftliche Sommerschule des Deutschen Romanistenverbandes statt. Sie wird 2014 von RomanistInnen der Universitäten Halle-Wittenberg, Köln und Potsdam in Zusammenarbeit mit dem DRV ausgerichtet. Unter dem Titel „Romanistik in Bewegung“ ist die Potsdamer Sommerschule die Auftaktveranstaltung zu einer Reihe von DRV Sommerschulen, die nach dem Motto „Vom Nachwuchs für den Nachwuchs“ fortan im jährlichen Bewerbungsverfahren zu unterschiedlichen Themen durchgeführt werden können.

  On the Dynamics of Production (Distraction/Interference – Resistance/Accident)

  The interdisciplinary and international conference "You were not expected to do this". On the Dynamics of Production focuses on the production processes and the interplay between notions of distraction and interference as well as their traces in different media objects. The conference program includes presentations on various topics connected to the research subject, including discussions on the role of distraction in the artistic production processes, the resistance of the material and the difficulties of tracing the dynamics of production in general.  The conference is organized by members of the Post Graduate Program "Materiality and Production" (RTG 1678) of the Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf and funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG).

  Une histoire de la sensibilité ?

  Perception et prise en charge des victimes de catastrophe (XIIIe-XVIIIe siècles)

  Ce colloque international a pour but de réfléchir à la perception de la condition de victime et à la construction de la sphère victimaire comme objet social en relation avec les événements catastrophiques dans l'Europe médiévale et moderne. Il voudrait contribuer en ce sens à l'historiographie des catastrophes, tout en proposant de centrer l'approche sur un objet neuf de la recherche historique, le statut de victime, et développer quelques pistes à son sujet. On voudrait cependant discuter en quoi cette assimilation entre catastrophe et drame relève de l'histoire, et plus exactement d'une histoire de la sensibilité à la souffrance sociale. Si le XVI^e siècle semble constituer un moment d'inflexion majeur en ce domaine, les contributions pourront porter, dans un souci comparatiste, sur toute la période allant du XIII^e au XVIII^e siècle.

  Zentrum für interdisziplinäre Forschung

  Das Zentrum für interdisziplinäre Forschung (ZiF) der Universität Bielefeld lädt junge Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler aller Fachgebiete ein, sich für das ZiF-Nachwuchsnetzwerk zu bewerben. Die Mitgliedschaft beträgt fünf Jahre und ist mit einem vierwöchigen Fellowship verbunden. Darüber hinaus ist es den Mitgliedern möglich, interdisziplinäre Workshops durchzuführen. Außerdem treffen sie sich dreimal jährlich, um ein gemeinsam gewähltes, interdisziplinäres Thema zu bearbeiten.

  Processus de déclin social de la noblesse européenne

  Le projet D03 « La noblesse pauvre 1700-1900 » du Centre de recherche concertée « Ordres menacés » (SFB 923 « Bedrohte Ordnungen ») de l'université de Tübingen organise les 18 et 19 septembre 2014 un colloque international sur le thème « Processus de déclin social de la noblesse européenne ». On se concentrera sur la petite noblesse dans la période allant du XVII^e siècle  au début de la première guerre mondiale. L'objectif du colloque est de rassembler les résultats de recherches historiques sur la noblesse de différents pays européens, axées sur la pauvreté et le déclin social, afin d'établir un lien fructueux entre la recherche sur la pauvreté et sur la noblesse. En outre, il encouragera le dialogue et la mise en contact des chercheurs européens sur la noblesse et il les invitera à mutualiser de nouvelles méthodes et approches de recherche dans un esprit d’échange profitable à tous.

  Histoire croisée de la constitution et de l'appropriation d'un savoir ethnologique en Allemagne et en France

  En Allemagne et en France de la première moitié du vingtième siècle, les traditions scientifiques et contextes institutionnels se sont développés parfois de manière très différente. Mais pour ce qui concerne l’ethnologie, il existe aussi des intersections entre les deux conceptions épistémologiques nationales, qui rendent intéressantes une exploration de leur histoire croisée. Le présent projet se donne pour objectif de montrer comment des champs thématiques se sont influencés de manière parallèle, antagoniste ou en empruntant l’un à l’autre pour se développer. Dans ce cadre, il sera particulièrement observé la manière dont le savoir ethnologique s’est diffusé et a été reçu en Allemagne, en France, puis dans une forme de réciprocité au miroir des pays africains. Les chercheurs associés au programme s’intéresseront aux méthodes des ethnologues, aux connaissances qu’ils acquièrent par leur truchement et aux institutions qui les portent en Allemagne et en France.

  Lizenzen und Werkzeuge für die Archäologie und die Altertumswissenschaften

  Das Deutsche Archäologische Institut als Partner in DARIAH-DE (Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities) richtet zusammen mit IANUS, dem Projekt zum Aufbau eines Forschungsdatenzentrums für die Archäologie und Altertumswissenschaften, einen Workshop zur Lizenzierung von Forschungsdaten aus. Der zweitägige Workshop richtet sich an Archäologen, Althistoriker und Altphilologen, die selbst über Forschungsdaten verfügen, planen diese zu veröffentlichen und nun vor dem Problem der Lizenzierung ihrer Daten stehen.

Ces nouveaux objets de recherche impliquent également que de nouvelles méthodes de recherches soient développées et mises en œuvre à l’aide d’outils divers. Dans ce contexte, nous proposons de reprendre à Milhad Doueihi le concept des « interfaces numériques » et de le concrétiser dans le contexte de la recherche en sciences humaines.

  For the 14^th International Congress of the German Society of Semiotics, we are looking for speakers on the issue of social consent and dissent for our sociologically – and culturally – oriented section: How much agreement does a society need? It is concerned with a semiotic discussion about conflict-laden forms of communication, i.e. about the positioned dimension of signs of consent and dissent in the process of socialization within a society or between societies of different cultures.

  Projekt "Alexander von Humboldts Amerikanische Reisetagebücher"

  An der Universität Potsdam, Philosophische Fakultät, Institut für Romanistik, Professur für französisch- und spanischsprachige Literaturen (Prof. Dr. Ottmar Ette) sind befristet für 3 Jahre im Rahmen des neuen BMBF-Projektes „Alexander von Humboldts Amerikanische Reisetagebücher: Genealogie, Chronologie und Epistemologie“ möglichst zum 01.02.2014 insgesamt 5 Stellen für akademische Mitarbeiter/innen zu besetzen. Im Rahmen des transdisziplinären Gesamtprojekts unter der Leitung von Prof. Dr. Ottmar Ette sind folgende Schwerpunkte in den jeweiligen Teilprojekten erwünscht: Literaturwissenschaft, Bildwissenschaft, Wissenschaftsgeschichte, Geographie. Die Teilprojekte sehen Promotionen bzw. – im Fall der Postdoc-Stellen – Einzelmonographien vor.

  Dariah-Dozentenworkshop "Curricula in DH-Studiengängen"

  Die Digital Humanities sind ein Forschungsfeld, ein weit gespannter Fächer an Methoden und ein universitäres Lehrfach – das an etlichen Standorten als Studienprogramm „Digital Humanities“ oder „als spezialisierteres Studienprogramm, das dem Bereich der DH zuzurechnen ist“, angeboten wird. Vertreter dieses Faches haben ein natürliches Interesse daran, ihr Fachgebiet als solches besser sichtbar zu machen. Ein Mittel zu diesem Zweck ist die Abstimmung über curriculare Fragen mit dem Fernziel eines abgestimmten Referenzcurriculums, das ein gemeinsamen Verständnis der Ausbildung in den Digital Humanities stärkt, die Durchlässigkeit verbessert und Standortwechsel für Studierende erleichtert sowie die Erkennbarkeit des Faches z.B. auf Seiten potentieller Studierender, der Politik und des Arbeitsmarktes fördert.

  Interfaces franco-allemandes dans la culture populaire et les médias

  Dispositifs de médiation interculturels et formes de perception de l’autre

  Au-delà des médiatieurs individuels ou institutionnels « classiques », les mass média font eux aussi partie des vecteurs centraux de transfert interculturel de la culture et du savoir. Ces « instances médiatrices non intentionnelles » (Umlauf / Colin) seront au centre de l’intérêt du colloque. Du fait qu’elles focalisent et transmettent souvent des formes culturelles populaires, elles peuvent être considérées comme agissant dans la largeur du champ culturel. De ce fait, elles ouvrent également des contextes et des espaces nouveaux à des processus de médiation interculturelle. Ceux-ci en sont souvent exclus par la notion de culture parfois exclusive des instances de médiation intentionnelles, mais laissent néanmoins des traces profondes dans la mémoire collective.

  Religious pathways to better futures

  Religious groups in Africa are not only an important source of imaginations of the future they are also remarkably active in their efforts to realize them. Thereby different religious groups articulate quite different visions on the future of their society, of Africa, the world or of mankind and follow different ways to pursue their goals: some groups might opt for public prayers, some for violence, some see in education the best way to realize their visions, some form political parties, and still others search for support in transnational networks or establish faith-based-organizations and try to link their future imaginaries to those of the donors in the world of development. Thus, looking at differing religious visions on the future and at the ways they are translated into practice, raises questions about the forms of public religion and interest articulation in a national and transnational setting as well as questions about religious diversity within a society.

  Das Projekt fragt nach der grundsätzlichen Bedeutung der symbolischen Repräsentation für die Konstitution des politischen Imaginären und nach den Veränderungen ihrer Modulierung und Strukturen angesichts der aktuellen massenmedialen Bedingungen. Im Rahmen dieses Projektes findet im WS 2013/14 eine Veranstaltungsreihe zu diesem Thema statt. 

  Alle Vertreter der Politikwissenschaften und benachbarter Disziplinen wie der Philosophie, Geschichts- und Kulturwissenschaften sind dazu herzlich eingeladen, um über zentrale Anliegen symbolischer Repräsentation in modernen Demokratien nachzudenken.
