La résidence en impesanteur mise en place par l’Observatoire de l’Espace est un terrain de réflexions et d’expérimentations dédié à des chercheurs en sciences humaines, dans des domaines aussi variés que la sociologie, l’anthropologie, l’histoire, la philosophie ou l’histoire de l’art, qui mettent la question gravitaire au cœur de leur projet d'étude. Cette résidence, qui consiste en un vol parabolique à bord de l'Airbus ZERO-G, a pour vocation de nourrir une pensée discursive, étayée d’un appareil théorique et critique venant renforcer la volonté de l’Observatoire de l’Espace d’approcher l’univers spatial par le biais des sciences humaines et de questionner ce que l’Espace fait à l’humain.

L’objectif de ce colloque est d’explorer l’ensemble des relations entre métaphysique et sciences. La relation d’exclusion réciproque est un cas de figure : exclusion, par les philosophes-métaphysiciens, de l’intégration des savoirs positifs dans une science de l’homme ; et exclusion, par les scientifiques positivistes, de la part de spéculation dans la connaissance de la nature et de l’homme en tant qu’être naturel et social. Mais les démarcations réciproques elles-mêmes procèdent d’interactions, dont on oublie souvent qu’elles manifestent un lexique et des enjeux communs.

Microbes and Microbiology: towards new stories?
What are the different ways in which humanities describe microbiology, this multifaceted and complex object that, for more than a century, has given rise to various investigations, whether in the context of national histories, institutional studies, or scientific controversies? This webinar proposes to make an inventory of contemporary research in humanities on microbiology and to understand how this research has been transformed by the various “turns” in human and social sciences over the last decades - global turn, imperial turn, material turn, animal turn, to name but few. Beyond simple academic labels, what are, in concrete terms, the new questions, new objects, new methods and approaches currently shaping our understanding of the emergence of the science of microbes, and of the technical and social changes it has spawned until the present day?

La question de la création-recherche est apparue en France, à Paris, dans les années 1970 suite aux événements de 68, dans le milieu de l’art et de l’université, avec d’une part l’introduction des études universitaires en arts plastiques et d’autre part une réflexion sur les rapports entre les arts et les sciences. En effet, cette démarche souhaite réunir les pratiques artistiques et pratiques scientifiques dans le but d'expérimenter un stade de la recherche plus libre de ses propres outils et langages, tout en expérimentant des voies qui permettent à l’art de devenir une discipline scientifique. Ce colloque jeunes chercheurs a pour ambition de mobiliser un réseau interdisciplinaire de chercheurs, de professionnels, et de créateurs, pour explorer les possibilités de la création-recherche en olfaction.

Le rôle fondamental de l'exemplification en sciences et dans les arts a été mis en avant récemment par de nombreuses études en épistémologie et en histoire de l'art. Et si certaines questions, apparemment irrésolues, méritent encore notre attention, ces études ont également ouvert la voie à de nouvelles questions, par exemple dans le champ des études visuelles. Nous vous proposons de venir en discuter à l'occasion de deux journées d'étude afin de confronter votre point de vue sur ce que peut être l'exemplification imagée.

The seminar Rencontres d’histoire et philosophie des sciences aims to promote a history and philosophy of science in which, in the words of Aldo Mieli (1935), “the unity of scientific thought” is “brought to the forefront, in relation to the multifaceted developments of particular sciences”. In order to do this, it seems imperative to us to involve all those who have an interest in the history and philosophy of science in its most diverse expressions in order to consolidate a community which, to exist, must regain its collegiality.

Nous privilégions au sein de ce numéro de la revue In Analysis des contributions en épistémologie de la médecine, de la psychologie et de la psychanalyse, de préférence élaborées selon une démarche comparative, et mobilisant l’interdisciplinarité ; des contributions méthodologiques (quelles possibilités de recherche pour chacune de ces disciplines du champ du soin ?) ; et des contributions problématiques, qui questionnent à leurs limites les concepts pour en déterminer la complexité et les tensions internes, notamment à partir d’exemples issus de la pratique dans le domaine clinique.

The subject of this international conference is the participation of women in the development of scientific ideas from the Renaissance to the Enlightenment. It welcomes reflections on women’s intellectual contributions to the creation of the « Republic of Letters », and how female curiosity was connected to the development of a new rationality that opened new paths towards modern science, while simultaneously being stimulated by the marvellous and the strange, as was manifest in the creation of scientific cabinets and collections of rare objects. It aims at encouraging reflections on the concept of female scientific curiosity. This will allow us to discuss the construction of a female subjectivity emerged from new approaches towards collections of naturalia.

Technologies also contribute to the construction of new worldviews and new forms of life. Technological imaginaries are far more than phantasies detached from technological innovation. They are at the heart of innovation itself, of the invention as well as of the implementation and use of technology in our societies.

Le VIIIe congrès de la Société de philosophie des sciences se tiendra à Mons (Belgique) du 8 au 10 septembre 2021. Des soumissions sont attendues sur le thème « Sciences et scientificité » : science et pseudoscience, enjeux imposés par l’évolution des pratiques scientifiques (par exemple, données ouvertes, sciences participatives, publications de résultats négatifs), incertitude de production d’ignorance (expertise scientifique, fake news, marchants de doute, etc.), valeurs de la science, intégrité scientifique et évaluation de la science, culture scientifique (public understanding of science). Comme à chaque édition, ce thème n’est pas contraignant et des soumissions sur d’autres thématiques en philosophie des sciences sont les bienvenues.
