ARTIS, Revista de História da Arte e Ciências do Património, número 9

Este número pretende desenvolver uma abordagem plural das artes decorativas de todo o tempo e lugar, ou seja, sem limites cronológicos ou geográficos, e ainda nas suas múltiplas vertentes e diversas declinações: as artes decorativas e os museus (não apenas os museus específicos mas igualmente a importância que assumem as colecções de artes decorativas nos grandes museus generalistas, ou ainda a relevância das artes decorativas numa específica categoria de museus: as casas-museu); as artes decorativas e a indústria e o design (fazendo eco da circunstância de a mencionada Great Exhibition se constituir ela própria como um estímulo à produção industrial, como era objectivo dos seus promotores); as artes decorativas e o mercado de arte e, por último mas não menos importante, o estudo das artes decorativas, como parte integrante da investigação em história da arte.

Revista "Sociologia on line" - chamada permanente

Sociologia On line is the journal of the Portuguese Sociological Association. It has an open access policy and publishes original research on Social Sciences and reflections on the development of Sociology. Scientific papers can be written in English, Portuguese, Spanish, French or Italian and will be independently evaluated by at least two experts. In addition, Sociologia On line uses double-blind peer review, which means that the identities of the authors are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa.

Covid-19: acesso a direitos, desigualdades sociais e (re)arranjos institucionais no controle da pandemia em Portugal e no Brasil

A ameaça invisível do vírus e sua rápida expansão colocaram imediatamente em xeque o paradigma de mobilidade planetária e o acesso a bens e serviços em âmbito universal, como nos serviços de saúde. Os desenvolvimentos que se seguiram à declaração da pandemia pela Organização Mundial de Saúde (OMS) serviram para destacar, em escala planetária, as implicações políticas e humanas associadas a um mundo integrado. Afinal, a divisão do trabalho em escala planetária, a livre circulação de bens, a “liberdade” assim como outros valores constituintes do “global”, não apenas se encontram desigualmente distribuídos, mas revelam um profundo senso de injustiça em sua distribuição. Desta forma, os trabalhos devem considerar e demonstrar como as instituições de controle ditas formais e informais se (re)organizam para conter (ou não) a expansão da pandemia.

A nova edição do evento busca se adequar nas atuais interpretações sobre a História e Historiografia do mundo nórdico, mas também reforçar o estudo das fontes materiais em seus variados aspectos, concedendo aos pesquisadores latino-americanos e falantes da língua portuguesa novas possibilidades de investigações, diálogos e perspectivas.

ICYRMA (International Congress for Young Researchers in Middle Ages) is destinated to students at master, doctoral and postdoctoral level and/or to those who have obtained their academic degrees in the last five years. It aims to be an interdisciplinary space for dissemination, discussion and contact among young researchers who study the Middle Ages from various perspectives: history, archeology, art history, literature, philosophy, philology, anthropology, ethnology, sociology, geography, methodology, among other areas.

Inclusion of persons with disabilities. Policies, practices, research and narratives

Lusophone Journal of Cultural Studies

Disability is a condition that is inherent to the human condition and history shows that it has always been present in human communities, manifesting itself in different ways over time and in various different times and spaces of social life. This issue of the Revista Lusófona de Estudos Culturais/Lusophone Journal of Cultural Studies is structured around the themes identified in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). The main objective is to improve social awareness about disabilities; remove physical and behavioural barriers; and combat stereotypes and prejudices. In other words, promote the human rights of persons with disabilities, eliminate discrimination and inequalities in participation and access to opportunities in life, improve quality of life and foster full social inclusion.

Petites villes et santé (du Moyen Âge à l'Époque contemporaine)

Présence médicale, institutions de soins, politiques urbaines d'hygiène et de santé dans les sociétés anciennes

Le temps présent étant lourdement marqué par les préoccupations sanitaires et puisque l’historien, selon le mot du moderniste français Pierre Chaunu, « est celui qui pose au passé les questions du présent », les membres du réseau sont invités à réfléchir à un échange sur le thème : Présence médicale, institutions de soins, politiques urbaines d'hygiène et de santé dans les sociétés anciennes (du Moyen Âge à l’Époque contemporaine) : qu'en est-il des petites villes ? Il s’agira d’évaluer comment et à quel degré les sociétés et les autorités (princières, seigneuriales, communales) des petites villes ont été ou non en mesure de promouvoir : un souci de la santé collective par le recrutement de personnels (physici, médecins, barbiers-chirurgiens…) ; le soutien à des établissements hospitaliers et institutions d’assistance, voire leur fondation ; des règlementations d’hygiène ou de protection contre les épidémies…

Challenges, Trends and Research: Audiovisual Screenwriting

From connoisseurs, amateurs, consecrated authors, curious people, to people interested in professionalizing, we have seen the growing interest in Screenplay Writing for Cinema and Audiovisual products, in the last twenty years, in Brazil. Initially, slowly, but then at an exponential pace as a result of market changes, the new perspectives provided by technologies, the possibilities for new expressive and participative experiences, the diversification of distribution formats and platforms and, mainly, the easy access to information on the topic that has fueled this trend. In the professional aspect, the consolidation of ABRA, Brazilian Screenwriters Authors Association - in 2017, resulting from the merger of two previous associations, elevated the professional screenwriter from a previously unstable status and highlighted him towards his autonomy.

This thematic issue intends to contribute to a critical reflection on the role of cultural policies directed at museums, collecting perspectives and experiences that stimulate the dissemination of knowledge from this field of analysis and interaction. There is no predefined delimitation for a particular period, thus accepting proposals that focus on a historical approach or that contribute to a contemporary understanding of the relation and impact of public policies in the museum sector. Proposals are also welcome which, having as object of analysis the terrain of museums, allow the confrontation and the fertilization of several theoretical and methodological points of view and the crossing of interdisciplinary perspectives. In this context, more comprehensive views or comparisons between national public policies in the area of museums can be included, as well as case studies referring to more specific contexts of museum policies.

History and polemics: historiographical debates and the public space

Ever since history became an academic knowledge, historiographical debates have been exceptional moments of construction, condensation and dissensus, often resulting in historiographical turns. Controversies around specific themes have divided entire fields of knowledge production, bringing into light different, often contrasting conceptions, methodologies and practices of historical knowledge. Such debates were, at the same time, moments in which the description and interpretation of the past represented a public intervention in the present, in which the defense of a certain way of making sense of history was also a way of taking of sides in a specific contemporary political discussion. Historiographical polemics were therefore moments in which historiographical knowledge had to confront in the public space other approaches to the past, thus making visible, and challenging, the paradigms that rule the historical discipline and public history.
