  An interdisciplinary approach. From the Mediterranean to the Indian Ocean. 15th-20th century

  L’histoire religieuse a longtemps constitué un chapitre à part dans l’historiographie des sociétés modernes et contemporaines, souvent réservé aux spécialistes du fait religieux, des croyances ou des pratiques, et des institutions. La question des appartenances religieuses demeure pourtant un élément déterminant en histoire sociale et politique, qu’il convient de reconsidérer à la lumière des déplacements historiographiques les plus récents. L’objectif de cet atelier sera ainsi de réfléchir à la façon dont les sciences sociales permettent de penser les appartenances religieuses, de la fin du Moyen Age à nos jours, en comparant des espaces géographiques parfois très éloignés.

  The Americas, Africa, Asia, and Europe in the 16th and 17th centuries

  La notion de métissage ibérique a été étroitement liée à la définition d’une première mondialisation et d’un premier temps colonial, celui des empires ibériques à l’époque moderne. Elle renvoie à un processus d’homogénéisation qui résulte des contacts entre « naturels » et « étrangers » à la terre. Cette notion est souvent confondue avec celles de mélange, de mixité, d’hybridité ou de syncrétisme. L’ambition de cette rencontre est d’interroger la fabrique locale des empires ibériques en revenant sur les « pas perdus » des constructions impériales ibériques aux XVIe-XVIIe siècles. Il s’agit de considérer le rôle politique des groupes sociaux différenciés métissés et/ou indigènes dans la formation des empires hispanique et portugais.

  Ce colloque s'intéresse à la presse écrite (imprimée et numérique) comme lieu de production et de diffusion d’idéologies linguistiques et comme moyen de standardisation de la langue. Le thème de la langue revêt indubitablement un intérêt particulier pour toute communauté linguistique. En raison des liens étroits qui existent entre les locuteurs et les contextes dans lesquels ils évoluent, la langue donne lieu à des débats et des polémiques variés. En plus de se traduire par des questions concernant la norme et la correction de la langue, l’usage ou encore l’histoire des mots, les préoccupations s’étendent aux enjeux liés aux politiques linguistiques et à leurs effets sur les pratiques langagières des locuteurs.

  The Transatlantic Embrace: Spanish Civil War in America’s Intimate Distance

  "Forma" Revista d'estudis comparatius. Art, literatura, pensament

  Spanish Civil War has been studied under its multiple angles. This can also be said about the literature concerning this topic: novels, poems, and all literary forms generated by this armed conflict (both by Spanish and foreign intellectuals) have been commented by academic criticism from both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. However, fewer approaches have set the axis of their critical focus on the importance of the Spanish conflict in America and its decisive relevance as a part of a phenomenon that is also American. This special number of the FORMA journal sets out to give a voice to all types of contributions able to shed a new light on this fundamental aspect of the war, whose causes and consequences are clearly rooted in Spain, but whose horizon overflows the peninsular and continental borders and requires an inevitably transatlantic point of view.
