Celui-ci aura lieu à Téhéran (Iran) du 15 au 19 octobre 2018. Boletín de Arte calls to send works on artistic production in the transnational cultural networks. Simultaneous geographies and temporalities. In the field of academic production and in the exhibition world there have been, in the last years, several historiographic reconsiderations that, backed by postcolonial and decolonial studies and visual culture, and with the objective of making an horizontal history of art, aim to question the hierarchical relations between the artistic production centers and to foster pluralisms and transnational networks of artistic and intellectual exchange.Works that address specific problems and cases related to the suggested topic, appealing to the contributions of the mentioned perspectives will be received for the section ARTICLES. Proposals that discuss the epistemological and methodological scope of these perspectives will be received for the section APPROACHES.

Thinking Latin American Right-Wings in the 20th Century
This conference is the continuation of two previous conferences held in France (2014) and Argentina (2016) which saw the gradual emergence of a community of researchers working on the questions of identities, ideas, practices and discourses of actors and movements from Latin American rightwing. It is difficult to establish the precise conceptual limits of the rightwing because of the heterogeneity and plurality of the groups and movements that have historically been part of this family and which are thus characterized by the presence of diverse political traditions. It is therefore essential to imagine flexible boundaries when considering rightwing history and taking into account the changes it experienced over time. Our purpose is not to establish canonical definitions, but rather to contribute to set general frameworks for this field of study whose historical relevance and actuality are no longer to be demonstrated, but whose limits and fundamental characteristics are still debated.

Retomando los conceptos de José Luis Brea sobre una «epistemología política de la visualidad» que supone el campo ampliado de los estudios visuales, esta jornada de estudios internacional se propone poner en discusión la función del arte en la actualidad en relación a la separación radical y la separación relativa entre éste y la política, la ciencia, la comunicación, la posmedia, etc. La visualidad enunciada, frente a la visualidad aludida, negada, disfrazada o transgredida. Las relaciones entre lo visible y lo decible, los juegos de saber y poder, la postura decolonial (Mignolo y Quijano) que suponen todas las relaciones antes mencionadas, son algunos de los aspectos que conforman las discusiones sobre las políticas de la visualidad que nos interesa abordar tanto desde el terreno académico como desde el campo de la praxis artística.

Du fait de son enracinement dans les expériences quotidiennes de l’être humain, la création cinématographique et audiovisuelle produite dans cette région offre des éléments qui contribuent à une compréhension de ces notions complexes. Le pouvoir et la liberté sont des pratiques constitutives des relations interhumaines (historiques, politiques, économiques, culturelles, intimes, locales, globales…), dont la théorisation requiert d’instruments disciplinaires et méthodologiques variés.

Ce colloque vise à interroger et débattre sur les différentes interactions sociales, historiques, politiques, épistémologiques entre le continent africain et latino-américain. Au cours de ce colloque, il ne s’agira pas seulement de jeter un regard sur le chemin parcouru ni de faire le bilan des recherches effectuées au sein du Centre d’études et de recherches afro-ibéro-américaines (CERAFIA). Mais, il faudra surtout repenser le CERAFIA en dessinant un nouvel avenir et de nouveaux enjeux. Il faudra également renforcer son insertion pluridisciplinaire au sein de la recherche scientifique gabonaise, sans rien lâcher de sa perspective comparatiste et triangulaire entre l’Europe, l’Afrique et l’Amérique latine.

Five Centuries of Cultural Influence
Generations of scholars have studied the multi-faceted experiences of the Franciscans in Mexico and the ways in which the Franciscan order shaped New Spain and the early Mexican republic. This conference examines the range of Franciscan influence and analyzes new scholarship that focuses on the multiple discourses with which friars engaged native peoples, creole populations, the vice-regal authorities, and other actors throughout the Spanish empire. The conference brings together junior and senior scholars to study the long Franciscan experience in Mexico on the eve of the commemoration of the quincentenary of the Spanish — and thus the Franciscan— presence in Mexico.

The event’s goal is to put together researchers and experts from various countries to discuss the issue of migration in conjunction with the field of social communication, cultural theories, border studies and within the framework of notions such as politics, democracy and citizenship.

Frantz Fanon’s Legacy in the Literature and the Arts of the Americas
One-day conferences
It turns out to be an epistemological necessity to analyze the scope of Fanon’s thought and style in the cultural and artistic productions of the Americas, not only because of Fanon’s concern for the creation and defense of a national culture but also because of his obvious interest for literature and the care he devoted to the process of writing. The transdisciplinary approach of the two one-day conferences « Frantz Fanon’s Legacy in the Literature and the Arts of the Americas » will encompass all the countries and areas of the Americas and the Caribbean, whatever their languages. We also welcome papers on all kinds of art, ranging from literature to cinema, painting, songs and street art (as in Bogota for instance). We warmly welcome papers that will adopt a comparative approach between different geographical areas. Papers will preferably be written in French, but English and Spanish will be accepted.

Este coloquio pretende analizar las modalidades de difusión de las imágenes devocionales en el marco de la evolución de las prácticas religiosas en Europa en los siglos XIX y XX, cuyas repercusiones sociales y culturales en la Europa mediterránea fueron considerables, aunque aún poco exploradas por la historiografía contemporánea española. Para ello, este encuentro reúne a los principales especialistas europeos con el fin de ahondar en temas como el auge de las peregrinaciones; la producción industrial de imágenes piadosas y su circulación entre las clases populares; el fomento por la iglesia de nuevos cultos; la confrontación entre modernidad laica y devociones y ritos tradicionales o el vandalismo iconoclasta.

Ce colloque propose une réflexion sur le rôle de l'art, de la littérature, du théâtre, du cinéma, de la philosophie dans un contexte de longue période de violence qui, par la suite, nécessite une étape de réflexion et de reconstruction, comme c'est le cas pour la Colombie. Aujourd'hui la Colombie est immergée dans un processus de paix qui met en questionnement l'histoire colombienne durant les dernières décennies ; une histoire qui nécessite d'être à nouveau écrite et pensée. De même, la place des artistes, des écrivains, des cinéastes, des théoriciens joue un rôle fondamental dans ce processus de remémoration. Quelles stratégies ont été employées pour révéler ces réalités fragmentaires ? Comment raconter cette histoire douloureuse et récente ? Les stratégies employées par les artistes et les romanciers colombiens permettent de révéler des réalités fragmentaires, mises en sourdine ou cachées. De même, le rôle de l'art, de la littérature, et du cinéma ou encore du théâtre est fondamental dans ce processus de réécriture de l'histoire récente de la Colombie.

Ainsi, nous nous interrogerons sur la façon dont la famille décide et élabore le projet migratoire. Nous axerons la réflexion sur les effets du processus migratoire sur les sociétés d’origine : quels sont en définitive les avantages et les coûts de la migration pour l’unité familiale ? Nous nous intéresserons aux migrants dans les sociétés de réception : quelles sont les dimensions de leur intégration, en tant qu’individu ou/et groupe familial ? Quelle est leur capacité à construire de nouvelles structures familiales ? Quels sont les transferts culturels que suppose ce processus, en particulier pour les jeunes générations?
