The “Landscapes” edition of dearq academic journal invites participants to reflect on what has globally been, principally since the beginning of the twentieth century, the evolution of the concept of landscape; the relevant methods of analysis; the methods of representation, of evaluation, and of teaching. This takes into consideration how the concept is a practical project tool that can be used for land-use planning, what landscape’s level of influence has been on the public policy decision-making process, what instruments and regulations have been used, and also how “landscape” and “territory” coexist.

Wars and political violence in modern European and American societies (19th-21st century)
“Amnis” Journal
Amnis Review seeks to open up a reflection on the synergies that exist between war and political violence – both real and symbolic – and to ascertain to what extent the two phenomena are interlinked as well as how far they can be regarded as an essential area of research for gaining an understanding of the historical processes at work during a given period. To this end, Amnis proposes a long-term study focused on the contemporary period in order to analyse not only the impact of conflicts, such as the two world wars that left their mark on the 20th century, but also the consequences of the many civil wars, colonisation wars and the various other types of confrontations that have punctuated the history of European and American societies from the 19th century to the present.

Colloque international - Arts, Patrimoine, Urbanité et tourisme
Dans le cadre de l’année France-Colombie 2017, la chaire des Amériques de l’Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne organise une série de manifestations pluridisciplinaires visant à contribuer activement au renforcement des relations académiques entre la France et la Colombie. Deux manifestations scientifiques seront en particulier organisées, la première à Bogota en mai 2017, la deuxième à la Sorbonne le 13 et 14 novembre 2017. Elles mobiliseront les partenaires universitaires de l’Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne en Colombie et, au-delà, la communauté universitaire internationale intéressée par ces problématiques. Ces manifestations pluridisciplinaires ont également pour objectif de réunir l’ensemble des acteurs concernés par les réalités sociales, spatiales, culturelles, artistiques de la France et de la Colombie dans un tournant particulier pour ce dernier pays.

The ergological approach intends to the co-production of knowledge with the aim of transforming work and more generally the social life. As stated by the scientific project of the Workshop, “the ergological approach, in its history and in its issues, is a priori a subject of interest for everyone, each exploring in its own way the intricacies of human life, but also anyone who wants to think about its own activity and that of others, to reconsider the ways of doing and taking action, of opening new perspectives in ways of working, acting and living”. Yet this approach, which is particularly needed nowadays, is insufficiently known and sometimes considered complex. This is the state of play at the origin of this international workshop for which this call for papers is published.

Ce colloque propose une réflexion sur le rôle de l'art, de la littérature, du théâtre, du cinéma, de la philosophie dans un contexte de longue période de violence qui, par la suite, nécessite une étape de réflexion et de reconstruction, comme c'est le cas pour la Colombie. Aujourd'hui la Colombie est immergée dans un processus de paix qui met en questionnement l'histoire colombienne durant les dernières décennies ; une histoire qui nécessite d'être à nouveau écrite et pensée. De même, la place des artistes, des écrivains, des cinéastes, des théoriciens joue un rôle fondamental dans ce processus de remémoration. Quelles stratégies ont été employées pour révéler ces réalités fragmentaires ? Comment raconter cette histoire douloureuse et récente ? Les stratégies employées par les artistes et les romanciers colombiens permettent de révéler des réalités fragmentaires, mises en sourdine ou cachées. De même, le rôle de l'art, de la littérature, et du cinéma ou encore du théâtre est fondamental dans ce processus de réécriture de l'histoire récente de la Colombie.

Identities are not only related to politics of assimilation and exclusion in the context of Nation-States, but also shape territorial configuration and arrangements in relation to geographical space. The latter becomes a territory for the accumulation of cultural symbols resulting from the different activities accomplished by a community living in that given space. In order to comprehend what drives various societies in resisting against the dispossession of land, in defending their resources and in opposing the political economies of States, new methodologies and interdisciplinary approaches are needed.

The Caribbean city, the unknown. Heterogeneous human settlements, legacies of the colonial era, refuge of the disadvantaged and homeless, mixed and fragmented, and the showcases of Caribbean tourism, the urban Caribbean presents itself as the economic ambition of these insular territories and other shores bathed by the Caribbean sea. The Caribbean city, a chaotic juxtaposition of modernity and the colonial past, and existing both as a social and political symbol, opens up a rich and immense new area. Sometimes characterized by European allure, the remainder of Africa - some may say -, American city - without a doubt -, hybrid format, the Caribbean city presents a particular subject of study.

Cet appel vise à susciter des articles concernant les violences fondées sur le genre, qu'elles visent les femmes, les homosexuels ou les trans, cela dans les pays du Sud global. Ces violences peuvent être psychologiques, physiques, sexuelles ou reproductives, y compris obstétricales. Elles peuvent s'exercer dans le cadre du couple, de la famille, du travail, des études, de l'espace public ou d'institutions, telles que la médecine ou l'armée, mais aussi de guerres. Les propositions d'articles peuvent notamment porter sur la mesure de ces violences, les facteurs et contextes qui leur sont associées mais ausi les lois et programmes à leur encontre, les obstacles que ceux-ci rencontrent et les actions qui permettraient de les abolir. Elles pourront émaner des différentes disciplines des sciences sociales.

An overview of digital social innovations
Despite their great potential to contribute to social and environmental changes, digital social innovations (DSI) remain an underresearched field. The Digital Social Innovation for Europe (DSI4EU) project provides a list of DSI, others mention them as being instrumental in the so-called “collaborative economy” or “sharing economy”, and civil society actors like OuiShare place a strong emphasis on them. However, it is clear that DSI have not yet been systematically and extensively analysed. We wish that this special issue contributes to do so, by using a three-level approach (micro, meso, macro).

Perception, reaction and record of natural phenomena before the Enlightenment
Issue no. 18 of the Journal of the History of Society and Culture will include a Special Section comprising papers dedicated to studying the perception, interpretation and record of natural phenomena in the periods preceding the consolidation of the modern scientific thinking. The goal is to explore how certain climatic, astronomical, seismological and vulcanological phenomena, among others, were experienced, explained and assessed prior to the development of technologies capable of predicting, monitoring and deciphering them. Attention must be given to the documents, accounts, representations (pictorial, sculptural, etc.) and remains (archaeological, architectural, urban, etc.) that inform us of eclipses and comets, storms and shipwrecks, volcanic eruptions, river floodings, gales, droughts and other phenomena which, directly or indirectly, left a mark on the populations and are part of their collective memory.

ICIQ3, the third international conference on interpreting quality, will be held in the city of Granada, Spain, on 5, 6 and 7 October 2017. ICIQ3 is intended as a platform for fruitful dialogue on interpreting quality. It will bring together a variety of perspectives and promote exchange. The conference will address a number of topics, including, but not limited to the following: quality criteria in different interpreting settings, user expectations and needs, quality perception and quality measurement, quality assurance in the interpreting process, nonprofessional interpreting, method transfer across disciplines.

C'est la finalité de ce dossier préparé pour la revue Laboreal (laboreal.up.pt) par une équipe de chercheurs, psychologues et sociologues du travail portugais. Ce dossier doit en outre permettre d'identifier de nouvelles formes d'intervention dans et en dehors des entreprises, à différents niveaux, et en prenant en compte les questions touchant à l'amélioration des conditions de travail ainsi qu'à toutes les formes de soutien (individuel, collectif et institutionnel) qui permettraient à la victime d'un accident du travail de retrouver une vie active décente.

Languages of urbanization and visions of the city
This section will focus on the representations of urban spaces and urban lives in the Americas, with special regard to the languages and the social practices that convey – or that have conveyed in the past – the idea of “making the city”. We are especially interested both in grassroots movements of urban resistance and in counter-hegemonic representations of the urban space. We welcome contributions on practices of re-appropriation of the city, on the strategies of resistance to the processes of gentrification, on the relationship between urban space and subaltern groups (minorities and/or subcultures) and on the ways in which the urban space has been represented, reimagined or invented in literature, cinema, comics, music, photography, television, visual arts.

Ainsi, nous nous interrogerons sur la façon dont la famille décide et élabore le projet migratoire. Nous axerons la réflexion sur les effets du processus migratoire sur les sociétés d’origine : quels sont en définitive les avantages et les coûts de la migration pour l’unité familiale ? Nous nous intéresserons aux migrants dans les sociétés de réception : quelles sont les dimensions de leur intégration, en tant qu’individu ou/et groupe familial ? Quelle est leur capacité à construire de nouvelles structures familiales ? Quels sont les transferts culturels que suppose ce processus, en particulier pour les jeunes générations?

Waste has emerged as a main environmental, economic and social issue in the last fifty years. The convergence of interests from various fields of reflection and action suggests a potential and fruitful “epistemological turn”. Yet this process is still on the verge of formalization. Research and decision on waste organizational and representational systems remain either fragmented or dependent on local context though some waste management recommendations arise from worries on the global consequences of discard. Hence this international symposium aims at opening transatlantic conversations between academic, technical and artistic areas in order to clarify how waste challenges our everyday sciences, knowledges and practices.

Methodology Workshop The Contribution of Anthropology of Childhood (VIII)
La notion de restitution est ici entendue dans un sens large ; elle désigne aussi bien un dispositif conçu dès les débuts du terrain et qui vise à partager les fruits du travail effectué avec les acteurs que les échanges quotidiens, apparemment anodins, les « services » rendus par l’anthropologue durant et après le terrain ou encore les échanges matériels et immatériels entre les uns et les autres. Si la dimension politique de la restitution est incontournable, la réflexion à son sujet ne peut cependant s’y limiter. Il s’agit ici de décomposer, à partir d’expériences de terrain ethnographique dans lesquelles sont impliqués des enfants, ce qui constitue la restitution, ses différentes formes, ses temporalités, et ses effets au long cours, à la fois chez les acteurs et chez l’anthropologue.
